But please it is highly unethical, morally wrong and wicked for you to write a medical report for someone you haven't cared for medically or examined medically. Please desist from such if you have been doing it biko. I know Nigeria may be lawless but you shouldn't make it worse. Pregnancy is a special critical period albeit physiological and shouldn't be toyed with. Okbye#

@ Flgd, Jst ur passport wit ur visa page on it and ur ticket. Thats al d doc u need to buy PTA, they would make copies at the branch n ask u to fill a form. U cn purchase from ur spouse's acct if u dnt v acct wit them, in my case, they requested for hubby to issue them a cheque. Another thing, CBN would be selling dolla tomoa so the rate may reduce slightly. Apologies for the late response.

The banks have a quota of how much they want sell per day. The officer you met might not have communicated the information correctly.

@tbaby...You are advised to apply for visa with a passport that is at least 6 months valid. It's better you renew the passport before applying for visa. hope that helps

Her passport is fine, it has more than 6 months on it, you can renew it anytime after July or before then.

Yeah..that's exactly what I intend to do. Arm myself with all the necessary docs and sufficient cash,then hope and pray for favour.

My sister i would advice you to follow your heart and make the trip.most of on this forum are not experts on these matters neither do we work with cbp,so we dont know it all, we just advice based on experience,it would have been better if you had told the vo you were pregnant when they asked,but as you said you were not even sure then yourself I would advice you to be fully prepared (enough cash at poe,doctors corespondence etc) I have heard of people with similar stories that were successful and also others that were turned back too, Just be truthful and prayerful

which embassy was this, Lagos or Abuja cos I dont know why they would request a special letter. Other people on this forum have said they went with Doctores parti which I also plan to do. Can you give us the detials of the interview, what questions were asked that could have led to a further request for a letter?

Yes I agree 1st bank & GTbank do not sell dey will tell u 2 use ur card over dere dat u'll b charged normal CBN rate. UBA used 2 sell bt dey stopped december. I bot frm diamond.

I am fairly new as a member on this thread but i have always been a guest reader. I think we should cut the newbies some slack on this issues of reading the thread from the beginning. As at today, the thread has 350 pages which is a lot to read from start to finish. I will suggest that if someone asks a question and you feel the answer has been given a while back and you do not feel like responding again, you can just ignore. I think its better that a zillion people telling newbies to go and read from the beginning.

Let's be a little nicer and accommodating...its not easy.

It was certified that doctoresparati are agents and not medical doctors and that some VO frown at their letters,while some accept,and it was adviced that you could use some other doctors correspondence for your Visa interview and Poe and port to elpaso when you get into the us,
Others should pls take note, if you are using doctoresparati letter,pls back it up with a spare just in case you meet a VO that frowns at their letter
