God don't choose for us he only directs us so we don't make the wrong choices and for you to be directed by him your lyf has to be pleasing to him Ecclesiastes 7:26. If you read the book of Genesis 2:20-24 when God created the woman he brought her to the man (never impose her on him) and the man accepted her. you see God brought and man accepted dats direction

and the bible also says he who FINDs A WIFE has found a good thing and shall obtain favour from the lord....u see God has no business finding or choosing a partner for us but he only directs us...hope my answer helps

I agree with you to some extent BT mind you God did not choose eve for Adam as a wife he only brought her the way he brought oda creature to Adam to be named.study genesis 2:20-24...I still stand on God don't choose for us he only directs remember God created man and gave him a free will.

well, you're right to a point....God, didn't choose for Issac and Jacob rather He directed them. I believe they're guidelines in the bible for any believer that wants to get married but Sanchez01 is right, once we let Him decide/choose for us then He comes in and decide a particular spouse especially if He's really interested in your case

Gen 2:18 "And the Lord God said: it is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him" Note the word 'help'. The Hebrew word is 'Ezar' or 'Ezer' to serve as a companion. God created all creatures in two but not the man. Let's go back a bit, shall we?

Gen 1:28 "And God blessed the man and said to him, be fruitful an multiply; fill the earth and subdue it..." Please note that God had not formed the woman then. He did so in Gen 2:21.

Now note Gen 2:23 "And Adam said: This is now bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman for she was taken out of a man."

Gen 2:24 was not Adam's statement but note, "Therefore shall a MAN leave his father and his mother and shall cleave unto his WIFE and they shall become ONE FLESH."

Thank you for this. This also explains why I said we're in the dispensation of the Holy Spirit. He walks with those who are ready and is willing to make the choices for you. The power to reject or accept falls on the fellow, not God.

I have never heard the voice of God since I was born except the one That is in the bible. I keep wondering how those who claim to hear his voice achieve that.

U Christians are fond of contradicting yourself with jargons. U reject a statement and still turnaround to accept the same statement. How does the above make sense to u.

If God has no business finding a partner for us, what is he doing directing you to a partner? Pls differentiate between directing you to a partner and finding a partner for you?

Your God didn't create any perfect being.... So when you ask him for a wife he selects from the various perfect beings he created and give you someone to manage. At the end of the day you still work hard to live with that person... How is the person the God sent?

You should have it in mind dat revolution has occured.. Back in our fore-fathers time,, they marry wifes even when love doesnt exist n maintain a perfect relationship witout any break-up..
But now,, dat doesnt work.. If u marry any1 u dnt love, d marriage is flawed n might crash in no time..

No, I don't get you.

Directing us makes no sense if the decision is still for us to make.

Let me ask you...

1. Are we capable of making the right decision?

2. If God directs us and we still don't follow his directions... Is there a possibility we might make the right choice despite not following Gods direction? I.e can we make the right choice without following God's direction?

3. Why is God's direction dependent on our decision? I.e why does Gods directions dependent on us before it can make sense? I ask because most Christian say even if we marry the wife God gave us, we still need to make the right choices before we reap the benefit of our Good wife.

4. How does God direct us?

Pls answer these four questions for me. Be on point and don't gonin circles.l
