What beats me is how saharareporters always report news before it happens. I read a few days ago that this trio would put out this press release. And bingo!

Moving on...GEJ is his own worst enemy. The spineless dufus should live with his weakness. I remember when he nominated Festus Odimegwu for the NPC, the North cried foul and he capitulated. I can't wait for the expose' from his lieutenants when his tenure ends. They will shred him to pieces.

I don't support GMB. But GEJ's incompetency cannot be forgiven. Most people voting for GMB do so to spite GEJ. Learning is a continuous process. GEJ has proved that education is overrated. Or education in Nigeria, if I may add. His intellectual capacity is well below NCE level. Then again....who studies zoology(the least competitive course) to doctorate level?

[[s]quote author=naijaking1 post=30499001]Just a brief summary:

1. Jega has been meeting secretly with northern leaders and avowed enemies of GEJ re-election
2. Jega has agreed to play, but he wants the leaders to help him recruit more electoral commissioners who may help with plan
3. Jega has 2 sets of plans, one(the most favorable) for the north, and the o the for the south
4. Under this plan, Jega received 150 lap tops per state, used to enroll minors and kindergarten children as eligible voters
5. Note, Jega wants PVCs handed over to the emirs, chiefs, and community leaders in the north, while every southerners has to pass through the eye of a needle
6. Of course we know that Jega gave more than 20k new polling units to the north, and 8k to the whole south
7. Jega awarded contract to PVC to unknown people outside federal guidelines.

More to come[/s]

Liar! Why don't you give us the names of the so called Northern leaders that Jega has met.

Did you read what the OP posted? Okay these are the names: Professor Ango Abdullahi, Prof. Idris Mohammed, Alhaji Sani Zango Daura, Dr. Hakeem Baba Ahmed, Alhaji Bashir Ibrahim Yusuf, Alhaji Mohammed Bello Kirfi, Amb. Shehu Malami and Dr. Tima Sani. Alamin Dagash, Gen. Paul Tarfa, Gen. Saleh Maina, Alh. Bashir Tofa, Barr. Solomon Dalung, Barr. M. B. Wali, Barr. Rhoda Ako and Mohammed Sharif who served as Secretary.Engr. Nuru Yakubu. What i don't understand is that what will it cost the APC if the election is postpone so everyone will collect their PVC. WHY THE RUSH to conduct the election.

Pdp has now turn opposition party overnight...lol

...they don jam badluck grin

When jonathan was voted in enmasse in 2011, Jega wasn't cooperating with the north abi? Its only now that the handwriting on the wall is as clear as daylight that he is now compromised.

Pdp knows that whether they rig or not as usual they will still be booted out becos the odds are so overwhelming this time. The whole of the north plus more than 80percent of the south west and at least 50% from the SS and SE are voting for buhari...so rigging is not needed.

That's why APC is so confident about the february dates and we say noooo to postponement grin
80%..., 50%..., who told you so!! Stop decieving yourself.

stop commenting as if i didnt vote for gej in 2011.... As a matter of fact, gej won the entire odua-states except osun state because we thought he will put Nigeria on the right track, but gej has really failed us and the entire nation. we are voting for buhari this time around and if he under-perform like gej, we will surely vote him out..
This is how the odua people play our politics and thats why we are the most sophisticated ethnic group in this silly country called Nigeria

I live in the south west and I have conducted an opinion sample. Out of every 10 people I met 8 or more of them are for buhari...even ibos so am sure of the 80% or more.

The 50% is more or less...Jonathan has failed massively and he isn't that popularly loved candidate he was in 2011
Re: Jega Working With North To Install Buhari - Edwin Clark & Alex Akueme by Omadachi(m): 9:31am On Feb 07, 2015
Another propaganda from the camp of GEJ.Nigerians so much love GEJ that is the reason he was voted for massively in 2011.We see him as a man of simplicity and a good heart but unfortunately he failed to meet the expectations of Nigerians. It is obvious that GEJ has bad advisers and he's not a good politician.

What other politicians who have 2nd term ambition does is to perform well in the first term and mishave in the later. Now majority of Nigerians have lost confidence in him and he still want too retain power thru blackmail, personality attack and propoganda. He no longer have confidence even in the INEC chairman and they are calling for postponement. This is too bad.

I am ashamed with leaders like South South leaders E.K Clark. Rather than support and encourage Prof Jega . they are busy tarnishing his image n the pages of newspaper. I don't think there is any grand conspiracy to victimize GEJ. The reason there is low PVC collection in the south is because there is very low voters apathy in the south compare to the north. In fact, I predict that there will be more voters turn out in the south than in the north. Most people I know in the south, including me, don't even plan on voting. Whats the point going to vote for the same corrupt leaders who don't really care about the people.

Also, I don't see any reason why the north should not have more polling center because they have more LGA, States and population than the south. Prof. Jega is trying his best to conduct election in Nigeria and I think all Nigerians should support him.

Yes, the elections should & must be postponed because INEC has shown that they are ill prepared for the election. A lot of anomalies & irregularities have been unearthed so time is required for corrections and clarifications, and above all Jega's integrity as an unbiased umpire has been called to question. Finally, no law will be broken if the date is extended since the constitution stipulates that election would hold anytime before 30 days to handover date.

You are simply deluded, do you think that someone like Alex Ekwueme who had the opportunity to steal from the treasury as a Vice president in the late 70's and yet didn't take a dime would now be bought with money at the twilight of his life? The election will be postponed & Jega would be made to resign or be sacked & any unrest/riot will be brutally quelled.
u re the one that is deluded and not simply but massively deluded. The same alex ekwueme that attacked gej of marginalising him some few weeks ago and how igbos will not vote him, the same him joining the gej cheerleaders. U don't need any prophet to tell u what must ve passed through corrupt edwin clark to him from gej.

What still baffles me is how people in a war zone... Would have picked more PVCs than people in the south east & south south.

I think this election should be postponed till April to avert this looming fight. If these elders have spoken like this, i wonder what MASSOB & Dokubo, Tompolo etc will do.

Jega do the needfull...

The law has not been broken either if the election is conducted on Feb 14th. INEC claimed they are ready for the election. Why don't we all Nigerians come together to support INEC in conducting a free and fair elections so the country can move forward and focus on more important issues.

It pains me that some nigerians can be so daft that when they see truth they can't accept it because they have been paid just to counter a bitter truth.

I carefully read the article from start to finish I wasn't believing it but as I read on I believed it because:

1. He mentioned names of people in the northern elders forum who were present at the meeting when the decision was taken.

2. He said they are with copies of the minutes of the meeting. If it's true then they have a traitor among them.

3. He gave dates the meeting was held in.

4. He gave us figurative details of what happened.

If all these are not true let prof Jega give an answer to those questions raised.

To give a little confirmation on the training of the INEC adhoc staff. I have someone who applied for it and till today he has not receive any basic training on the electoral new process initiative which INEC proposed putting in place to conduct a credible election.

I really don't support election postponement but if it will truly truly guarantee credible election, then I support it.
Please note the word "TRULY TRULY"

We have told them time and again, we reserve the right to vote who we want to vote and no amount of intimidation or blackmail would make us change our minds.

[s]Jonathan can go and be the president of Niger Delta for all we care[/s].

I just find it very hard to believe that any man with the mind and heart of a human being would support the continuation of this indescribably corrupt and morally bankrupt presidency. I beats my imagination honestly.

Which population? You mean cow population?

Regional geography may not be your strength. Tell me anywhere in the world where arid and semi-arid areas have higher population than coastal or wet areas?

Has Nigeria ever had a credible census since the British connived (as admitted by former British colonial officials) to rig census in favour of the North?

Did Lagos state not dispute the higher figures for Kano (with Jigawa event cut from Kano State) than Lagos in last census? Yet Kano population still grew faster than Lagos over previous 10 years.

A lie repeated again & again start to sound like the truth.

This is getting interesting.
I read sometime ago that Inec staffs were going to people's houses to give them pvc whereas as at that time, non has been given to the southerners.
That was when I knew there is magomago.
They were halted and d news just died away.

Now,borno state, which I know front and back has more polling centers than enugu?

This is really interesting.

I know it may not be during my time but one day, we will be free from the north completely and breath fresh air.

D British made a very big mistake and I'm suure they will be regretting by now.
We hv absolutely nothing in common.
