It seems perhaps you don't know your boyfriend that well. 6 months is not a lot of time but there was something you saw in him that made you go for him. Think you should just tell him how you feel so that you can be at ease. You guys should try and get a better understanding of one another so that every out of the norm utterance will not be taken serious if that's the case.
