personally, I don't even care about his preferred players as long as @ least 80% of them are on merit (recent form) & they are consistent in the team barring injuries. if LvG is giving us the impression that he doesn't know his best eleven @ this stage, its a real shame.

smalling was a sub against burnley too - jones' injury was what forced van gaal's hand to play him. he got us 2 goals in the end. jones that starts almost every game has never scored 2 goals in a match for us.

Me think RvP should be replaced with a pacy striker. Playing RvP as a poacher,he seem to have lost his poaching instinct at times and it's quite frustrating. Falcao,who is a deadly poacher,won't just stay on his feet. Smh.

that's his 6th league game this year with only one shot on target to show for it. 1 shot on target in 540 league minutes of football.

the excuse was he hasn't played a striker this year but fellaini, blind, herrera, etc have all scored from midfield positions for us this season.

he is just not that good, he hasn't been for a few years. a player whose best features were physicality, pace and power and looked like a grown man at 16, it isn't hard to see that he has lost so much of which made him stand out.


rooney developed and peaked way too early. put him in any other PL team and he would be found out, he's in a bubble at old trafford where everything that he does poorly is down to circumstance.

he either needs X amount of games before he can play well or he needs a certain player or that so so player to be playing alongside him before he can perform. he even escapes media criticism for most parts to put a cover up his idïotic moments during any match.

If wishes were horses, this how some guys here would have lined up our season.

* Smalling has not been playing as right back. So the stat is screwed.
* Smalling has played more percentage of his matches in a four man defence while Jones has played more in three man defence.

* Yet Jones has intercepts more and has more tackles (per mins).
