While I do not question the authenticity of the aerial footage shown here, the audible bursts of gunfire MUST have been added as a sound-track AFTER the film was shot, because ALL aerial footage is SILENT by definition, since the sound of explosions on the ground can NEVER be recorded from the attacking aircraft, due to the ear-splitting scream of fixed-wing jet engines, or the thumping roar of helicopter turbine engines.

Even if a claim is made that the gunfire heard on this video tape is a recording of the plane or helicopter's own guns used to strafe the enemy below, any recording which captures sound of those bursts, MUST ALSO capture the sound of the aircraft. The fact that there is audible gunfire on the tape, and yet NO audible aircraft engine noise, can ONLY mean that the sound of gunfire was added in post-production, which for news footage is NOT a good idea at all.

It is very pleasing to see footage of terrorist gunmen being united with their 72 virgins in Paradise, even as they endeavor to run away from that prize, BUT, the Nigerian Air Force needs to be careful to avoid editing the footage with added sound effects and such, so as to maintain the credibility of their battle-front video press releases.
