I never said so, all I'm saying is that the time it takes for two people from two different cultures to understand each other wouldn't be the same when you're dealing with someone from the same culture.

I can give you an example: I got the culture shock of my life when I told my foreign girl friend to give me a glass of water while Sitting on the couch and she responded by telling me that she's not my slave and this is something that a typical Nigerian girl would have done for me with no hard feelings if she truly loves you .Though I paid her back when she asked me to give her some money for shopping, I simply told her that I'm not her ATM we went back and forth always quarreling and separating every now and then and making up again until it dawned on me that this is a different girl from a different culture and I have to drop my mentality and ego else I'll always appear as a caveman to her .And all the things I wouldn't do for a Nigerian girl I started doing them and I learnt a lot though it wasn't easy for her too because she was bent on changing my orientation while I was bent on remaining an African a black man

Op's thread didn't do justice to the black woman especially the Nigerian women.
Simply put , you foreigners also have your bag and baggage and it could be more difficult compared to someone that knew my mindset and orientation right from birth

The difference between you and your girl is that you TOLD her to get you a glass of water and she ASKED you for money.
When I think about it, different cultures have their differences, what you consider rude I may not and vice versa.
