Don't judge the ladies when you don't know what they are passing through. If men were to be bought in a shop, there would be no single lady in her 30s.

My 2 cents.

Nigerian ladies might still remain single... Their mentality is just somehow

Various factors but I guess they can be classified thus :

Economy: For those who must have been keen on making a career and sacrificing all other things in life, the economy elongated their inability to have a functional relationship.

Incompatibility: This is from both men and women. Some have had the misfortune of simply meeting the wrong person through no fault of theirs.

Ill-luck: People forget that the those young men and women who have been victims of accidents, robbery etc. were probably in relationships. The incidents alone could make one handicap (mentally or physically or both), or lead to death. Someone bears the consequence.

Religious fanaticism: Got to be Roman Catholic, JW, Anglican, RCCG, Ahmadiya bla bla bla - you get the drift.

Nature of the environment: Some simply had to endure ASUU strikes, Job-hunt (even when in a relationship either may not be lucky hence the wait. Time flies in all of this.

Bad Attitude: Some people are simply nasty and not marriage material (You know yourself). Unnecessarily picky, desperate, quarrelsome, violent, envious etc.

Immaturity: Coming of age is sometimes not a direct function of one's birth date. It comes later in life for some, for some others it might not come at all.

Skewed demography: Sometimes there are simply more women/men to pick from, making one a lamb to slaughter and at the mercy of the suitor.

Indecision: One party's dilly-dallying, pussyfooting sometimes lead to delay for the other.

Choice: It may simply be that it's that's person's choice. Don't knock it. After all, it is that person's life not yours.

You sound kinda 1960s. Marriage is not for everyone you know. Single parents and parenting may be frowned at, but certainly not a crime.
