In every quarters of each year blogs.akamai.com brings us the fastest internet speed by countries from their technological statistics Measurements.

Akamai's most recent State of
the Internet Report , South Korea boasts the highest average internet connection speed in the world. Korea's internet users surfed at
an average speed of 24.6 Mbps in the second quarter of 2014 according to Akamai's measurements.
Korea is trailed by Hong Kong, Switzerland and Japan who each saw average speeds
around 15 Mbps. The United States ranked 14th with an average connection speed of
11.4 Mbps, which is still way above the global average of 4.6 Mbps. To add a little
perspective on what these speeds mean: At 10 Mbps it takes around 50 minutes to
download a 2-hour movie in HD quality(3gig-5gig)
This chart shows the countries with the highest average internet connection speeds
in Q2 2014.

Enjoy....

I believe south Korea has a small population. Nigeria has a large population using the Internet, how do you expect the Internet connection to be fast?? Have you ever asked yourself why the Internet connection @ night is faster than that of the day, thats because alot of the Internet users are at sleep. FYI 'its not compulsory to comment when you have nothing meaningful to contribute.

Why are u so angered by my comment,Is it only South Korea u see there that u are talking about population. Don't even dare try and compare South Korea and Nigeria in Internet or technology.Look at you trying to defend the poor network service here in Nigeria.

United States that has double of our population can still boast of 11mbps on a normal day whereas Nigeria networks hardly give me 1mbps

I really don't understand thé concept here . USA has a speed of 11megabits per second therefore making it 1.375megabyte per second in normal data transmission . But I can swear that here in Nigeria I have experienced 1.1megabyte per second with etisalat. 700kBps with mtn .500kBps with glo .and roughly 287 kBps with airtel . So when Korea has a speed of 24mbps its 24megabit per second and converting it to MBps (megabyte per second) . We'll divide 24mbps by 8 giving us the speed in megabyte per second as 3MB/s . So let's not Misundastand d post or better still quote me if am wrong

But it ain't only mtn in this case... All networks in fact swift, edge, slim etc that claim to have 4G LTE. ..
