ozoigbondu: Your grand ma is just 1 out of 40 million if you are from southwest, but can just look it empirically, this northerners are very religious and live according to the dictates of the religion which assist them in living very healthy lives despite the lack of infrastructure and healthcare systems. They have a lot heat which maybe a factor ,their food contains a lot of meat which should normally increase heart disease, but they still live longer .In the south people die a lot from heart related and cardiovascular diseases including road accidents. 1 Like 1 Share |

snapshot:On what are you basing your argument sir? And just so you know, it's not just Nairaland and my street that i'm talking about. I have taken a population sample of different interest groups and i always come out with a conclusion: If the elections are free and fair, GMB will win with a landslide. But is it gonna be free and fair? And don't think i ran a biased survey. My sample population normally encompass people of different tribes, religions and belief and d answer i always get is positive. If you doubt it, try take a survey..... Can even help you with tips 1 Like |

handie: i must say even though we are on different side of the divide i admire ur maturity and language tone, but the southwest and north central will decide the winner in this election and GEJ ha< edge over GMB in the north central and the votes in the south west will be divided.GEJ will win about 23 states included FCT.this is based on empirical findings. |

snapshot:I also commend your maturity and i get your point. But talking of north central? I've been to Kogi state(A north central state) on different occassions for my research(Note: I carry out my own research independently without any form of inducement to my respondent as i'm just an ordinary citizen without means). In my research, My sample includes drivers, Market women, Okada riders and others and you know what i've discovered? Majority of these people are not happy with Gov Idris Wada(That's not to say he won't win,a 2nd term tho) And PdP as a party is firmly entrenched in every nook and crannyvof the state but GMB has a cult like following there and i tell you that from what i've seen, many Kogi indigenes will vote for APC because their presidential candidate is General Muhammadu Buhari.( My analysis is restricted to the area from Okene down to Ajaokuta local govt and Lokoja) I haven't been to Kabba and other areas in that region so, i can't speak on their voting pattern |

snapshot:I'm not too conversant with Benue politics but i do know for sure that George Akume enjoys a huge support base in Benue NW senatorial district which will give some votes to GMB. Throw in Solomon Lar and Audu Ogbeh, i can tell you GMB will secure @ least 25% of votes in that state.... I'll still give it to Jona in this state sha. As for Kwara state, do we even need talking about this? The Saraki dynasty are the unarguable leaders of this state. Factor in the stellar performance of Abdulfatah Mohammed and the infighting in Kwara PDP, it'll be hard for Jonathan,to secure 25% of total votes cast..... Go to the field and confirm this yourself and please while there, take the opinion of market women, taxi drivers, youths and okada riders. They are the ones who really matter( One tip: Go round with public transport. It'll help you get opinions much easier and at a very low cost) |

snapshot:Now Unto Nasarawa state. In 2011, CPC won the governorship seat and presidential election in this state. Think it's because of the popularity of Tanko Al Makura or the party structure? Nah. It was because of the popularity of GMB and need i remind you that Labaran Maku ain't in PDP any longer? GEJ will get some votes in this state but GMB will still has the edge. Niger state is gonna be a battle ground. In 2011, GMB won this state But i expect GEJ to win with the slightest of margins. Votes can still tilt in favor of any of the candidates so, in Niger state, i can't make any concise prediction. Best approach is the siddon look approach. FCT, expect a 55% 40% (with the 10% for other candidates)Voting pattern in favor of GEJ as many people i met were either undecided, wanna do protest voting or are for Either Jona or GMB. the margin won't be much sha. Now from the above analysis, you can See GMB will take Kogi, Kwara, Nasarawa and strong showing in Niger, FCT and a minimum of 25% in Benue |

snapshot:Southwest? There's a campaign strategy APC are using which the PDP don't just know about. The PDP go about receiving endorsements from the obas and other groups but the APC targets the grassroots. I'm sure you've seen pictures of Osinbajo in different towns campaigning. Now, those ain't for the cameras. They are really doing campaigns at the grassroots and this will only help theirelectoral fortunes. Need i tell you governor Ibikunle Amosun tranversed all the 224 wards in Ogun state for campaigns? Have you ever been in a village and the governor/governorship candidate comes on a campaign? The effect it can have on the populace is rather imagined. Now how many people are in OPC? Need i remind you that the yoruba people are pretty enlightened and won't vote on sentiments or what their obas says? It's gonna be like this. PDP will win both Ondo and Ekiti states. As for Osun state, Ribadu was able to win it under a less popular ACN. Expect Rauf Aregbesola to deliver it for the APC with a huge margin. In Ogun, despite PDP's protestation to the contrary, OBJ's exit from PDP will hit them hard and though GEJ will secure some votes, i can't see him defeating GMB. Oyo state will be tight but due to the Ajimobi factor and what i've seen from the citizens who i took time out to interact with, i expect GMB to carry the day IF the contest is free and fair. Now to the crown Jewel LAGOS. A cross section of respondents from this state gave differen verdicts on Fashola's perfomance. To some, he is the best state governor. To others, well, he could've done more. majority of the youths i saw and spoke with were pro GMB(I presume their choice to be as a result of APC's ang GMB well ochestrated social media campaign). GMB volunteers are doing a great job convincing voters at the grassroot level. There still are some undecided voters who can be won over to either side of the divide these remaining days. On the whole, i expect GEJ to put up a strong showing but ultimately, GMB will win this state. In Doubt of my analysis? Then pls go to the street and carry out a research either through the questionnair method or the discussion method( i strongly suggeat the discussion method tho.) Do this in public buses and other places which the common man frequents |
