Good evening y'all, I'm yet to fully apply to University of British Columbia. The agent helping out said I need to take SAT..but I checked their site and didn't see such requirement.

I'm kinda confused now. Do you guys know any student in the University or around Vancouver that could help me with more info? Please I'll really appreciate any info. Need to resume this fall(September).

Quote me or mail- MockinJay1@gmail.com

Thanks for this info, chief.

It seems CEC is being routed through EE atm. From what I deduce, EVERYONE might need to do IELTS at one point or the other if they're aiming for PR.

Do you agree with me?

Bro, I would suggest she waits till she gets an unconditional letter before she extends her study permit. Once she submits her official transcripts, she will be issued one. She has to attach the unconditional to the initial conditional one to apply for study permit extension.
Thanks bro, finally, if the school says they require original certificate, what do they mean? Is it a certified true copy, notarized, or just the original that is with her?

Excerpt... how to apply
If you meet the conditions stated above, do not make a separate application
for a work permit and do not pay an additional fee for a work permit. Follow
the standard procedure to apply for a study permit , with one extra step:
In your study permit application, include a letter from the Canadian
educational institution stating that employment is an essential part of your
program of study. Underline or highlight this information in the letter.

Thanks a lot..

hello house, i got back my doc from th vac center today. and the below is what the vo said in quote
"YOU HAVE NOT SATISFIED ME THAT YOU WOULD LEAVE CANADA AT THE END OF YOUR STAY, IN REACHING THIS DECISION, I CONSIDERED SEVERAL FACTORS, INCLUDING

1. YOUR TRAVEL HISTORY
2. LENGTH OF PROPOSED STAY IN CANADA
3. YOUR PURPOSE OF VISIT
4. YOUR CURRENT EMPLOYMENT SITUATION
5. YOUR PERSONAL ASSETS AND FINANCIAL STATUS.

Please house have decided to differ my admission to Sept or Jan so that i will have enough time to tackle the issue, Secondly i just started my 6month short course in marine engineering with the Nigerian merchant Navy, which i will be through with in Sept. And i want to know if i can change my course from business admin/human resources management to Marine engineering since am already doing a short course on.
please house i seriously need your sincere advise and contribution.
thanks
Ok it's good u differed to september. I wld suggest you include your Employment details wen reapplying to tackle the issue of "employment situation" for "personal assets and financial status" get a landed doc and a study leave letter from your company (a study leave letter wit pay can surface) write a superb SOP to tackle the issue of "length of proposed stay" and "purpose of visit" and make sure u indicate you coming back after your studies. Wats the relationship Btw your work experience and the course you are going for? I tink that has to do with "purpose of visit" also(I stand to be corrected guys grin) Changing course? Hmmm dunno anytin abt dat oooo the gurus can advice u on dat. I wish u the best on your re application @obig and don't relax cos u differed to fall ooo the earlier the better.

2. i want to pay full or part of my tuition fees, coz i only paid for my acceptance fees of 2600 usd which will be deducted from the total amount of tuition fees.
3. i want to include all my property docs but inherited and personal
4. i want to hire a good writer to help to write a powerful SOP

Hope that will be ok?

Insufficient funds wasn't ticked y wld u need a sponsor? Just let them knw that the business will be running while u are away studying meet a lawyer for that bt if u feel yur SOA isn't enough den add a co sponsor to be an a safer side.
I wld advice you write your SOP yourself. To me, SOP is telling the VO your passion, how your passion will impact your career, people and your country and how this course wld improve your business internationally. There is no better person to write your SOP than yourself cos u knw more abt wat u do dan any oda person wld do.
For example you can write that studying business administration in XYZ college or university will help your business in the area of international marketing and you want your business to go global in dat area(wat yur biz is into) also, it is yur desire as an entrepreneur. add your biz reg docs and tax clearance cert if u have any bt in the absence of those, you can add receipts of business transactions done. Your experience in dat business will play a big role cos am sure you've been into dat for a while so I wld advice you nt to change courses so dat yur app won't look desperate in d eyes of the VO
Lastly, paying your tuition is cool too I tink it kinda boost yur chances tho it doesn't guarantee your visa.

Original certificate or transcript (if it has the degree gotten on it) sealed and stamped across the seal of the envelope. It can be sent by person or the awarding school itself.

heading to seneca college as well.according to seneca college website it takes about 8 weeks to acknowledge credit card payments whilst wire transfers are acknowledged faster, making a call to the international admissions office +14164915050 ext 22364 at about 5-6pm naija time might be your best bet to know your payment status instead of sending emails that may not be replied till after a few days to a week. You should note that paying tuition is optional before applying for your study permit rather take your time to gather supporting documents that covers all tuition, expenses and home ties. All the best

Thanks a lot for this info. I have gathered all docs I want to use. Just waiting for that one. If only they can send a mail acknowledging receipt of my payment form. I can still attach that to my application. I guess I will have to apply like that if I don't hear from them. Thanks
