Here are Your top stories

A lot of us are still hung over after yesterday's exciting contest. Many commented that this was by far on of the best wooing contests ever held on nairaland since its inception in 2005
A big thumbs up to the hosts and supporters
But guess what guys, there is still more left in the basket as we have two more days to go.
I will go through the slots one after the other
as I bring you the highlights from the exhilarating event.

In the first slot we had twaci trying to woo jeffreyjamez who had already opened up about his feelings for fellow nairalander, charijee
Twaci delivered a well wrritten piece,
where she stated that she has had fantasies, crazy ones, about jeffreey after the day he replied her with a simple hi with a cute smile

Jeffreyjamez had this to say as a reply
"Metaphorically speaking She broke my nose, I am bleeding , I am bleeding bad, choi!!!"
Really dude, that's all you have to say.... SMH
When he was asked why his reply wasn't romantic, he said this
"I am not a guy with romantic words"

After everything, twaci even went to literature section and posted the same poem she composed for jeffrey and dedicated it to him

In the second slot we had anwillz wooing donkelz

Talk about late coming. Anwillz posted an hour after her time.
This was a line from a write-up
"I have been alone my whole life and I am tired of searching. I want to be with you.
When I fantasize its you I think about. Every intimate thought consist of you"
Well for a guy who says he is good in bed, I don't expect less
Saldly for her, her boyfriend wasn't present. Perhaps he will arrive tomorrow

In the third slot we had mirexxx, mzchinny and rozzaay vying for djeezy's heart
The three ladies brought their A game which made it a tough desicion for the handsome youngman but he still made his decision and he chose the volumptous mirexxx.
In all the three women in this category, I pity for mzchinny, because she seemed to be over-infatuated with djeezy.
An example is the fact that in her just 60 comments she has posted on nairaland since registering last year, more than 10 of those comments have been about how she feels about her crush.... Chai!!!

Rozzayy and mzchinny I have this to say to you------------------- SORRY

In the fourth slot we had dimples192 wooing nitefury
Dimples192 presented a very controversial piece which had a lot of people speechless.
Please guys go read it your self, "x-rated"
Dimples I hail!!!
Nitefury was amazed by the beautiful piece and had this to say
" I was blushing, I have never heard these words about my person before. Its a yes for me"

After she has mesmerized your cerebrum along with your entire nervous and reproductive system with that poem

The fifth slot was very entertaining, as we had ishilove display her affection for burger01
She had this to say
" You are the reason I log on to nairaland and and I follow you bumper to bumper.... Bleep it, I stalk you"

Aunty ishilove, you forgot to add this " you are the reason I log on to nairaland..... asides banning people"
Ishilove also stated that she was a sapiosexual, meaning that she was attracted to intelligent men
Ishii, that one is you, as for me I am a hypergamist----- I am attracted to rich people

Burger01 replied with an epistle
I don't know if he composed that before the contest, but mehn these two are just the same.
Even mizmycoli dey learn for where dem dey
I wish I had half their writing prowess

In the 6th slot we had 4 ladies struggling win the heart of the host naijaboiy.
One of the participants africanapple didn't show up so it was just between april07, vickybee and aipete2
Vickybee and april07 gave nice lines but aipete2's line got everybody stunned.
The write-up wasn't even longer than the "National pledge"
At the end of the day, it was self acclaimed feminist and adocate for women's rights, vickybee that walked home with her man
So to aipete2 and april07, I have this to say to you------- SORRY, it happens.

The last slot had everyone up in their seats as we had mznelly and nneka123, battle to get their way into blackett's heart
Mznelly presented a well written poem which had peotic brilliance written all over, while nneka123 composed a more direct long expression of her feelings
Blackett had a very difficult choice to make but he still made his decision and chose Nneka123, commending mznelly for her lines, saying that if it was a poetic competition, she would have won.

Having given a recap of yesterday's event, let's go to other news

DRAMA DRAMA DRAMA, as Blackett and missclassy face off.
.......when we thought that yesterday couldn't get any more interesting, blackett and co-host, missclassy had a huge argument where they exchanged words with each other.
The rift evolved from a very little issue and escalated into something very serious.
The two have never been in good terms so it's no surprise.

You were here when the co-host accused mariolae and you didn't say anything, did she include blacketts name hell no. Even if he wanna interfere should it be in an aggressive manner. He insulted her and she reciprocated, why did he run away?

I wasn't there. I only read one person's lines last night, and the rest this morning. If I was, I might have said something, I might still have ignored since someone called her out on it already.

Now about the insults, you should know it's one of the things that come with feeling somewhat anonymous online. Frogs become tigers as they wish, and plain Leahs become internet hotcakes. If NL can make fantasies come true, it's not be such a bad thing.

If you feel he's being characteristically silly, then prove it by being different. Silence isn't all that bad. At times when foolishness speaks, even wisdom is lost for words.
