they are all praising him now, even those who voted against him. 15 million votes against 12 million is not even a big margin. but peace lover accepted it. but the fanatical indoctrinated Islamic extremist refused to accept defeat in 2011, even when it was 22 million votes against 12 million. he vowed to make Jonathan's administration ungovernable, of course he achieved that with boko haram. congratulate him!. this is the same man who vowed not to participate in the debate, I wonder the version of democracy he intends to offer us. Please congratulate him!. the very same man who threatened Nigerians with war if he loses 2015 election. of course you all are congratulating him already. i refuse to be sick like you. you wanted change right?... you have it! 5 Likes |

I know this might sound so strange but let me know if am out of order, the election has come and go so are the controversies they generated, let's stop talking about his election here before it will lead to another insult and e-war. Please can we appoint a leader here who will directing our activities here in NL, we Igbos need leaders in our life, let's learn to be good followers so that we will be speaking with one voice. The leader will not be gaging us but he or she need to be handling things when they are going outta control. We need a leader here let's embrace communal living and oneness 1 Like |

Nwanne am from okija where are you from and where are you based in. mgbanujohn: Yes we need a leader, I have seen the benefits of having a leader, this is something we need to pledge and be sincere with it, let's nominate people that are respectable here and can build bridges across. The election is over and I wouuldnt like to see any fight with our sister states happening, we need it, we need to rally round one person who is frequent here and passionate about Igbo wellbeing. We are not putting end to arguement but we want it more mature, solid and informative. Insults and demeaning language should be discarded, let move on like one people, no supremacy, no insult and no belittling gestures. Who do we nominate and how do we get Onlytruth back here, is he using another handle, what about FK081, OREM11, Pls let's take it serious |

Igbos voted but there is voters apathy everywhere, do you check Lagos with more than 5M voters but few 2M turned out to vote, what about Kano with 4M voters but little above 2M voted. Please let's stop saying Igbos don't vote before they will start using that against us, Igbos do vote but there will always be voters apathy and you can't do anything with it but proper sensiitization. Nigeria govt have bleeeped people enough for everybody to start acting there is no government, good governace increases political awareness and morale but bad government kill it. IgboMonk: Nwanne,I get your point but We must start being responsible citizens. As for a leader in online faceless forum,I don't know how that Will work out. We have tried that with Igbos on here but it didn't last before people lost interest and the movement faded into air. Lets just keep up with our attendance here and see how things go. The Anambra agenda must not die and for us to make sure of that this thread must not die. I can't believe Obaze and Ndukwe lost! What happened? Where is the Obiano effect? Was the election rigged? And yeah,am so glad Ohamadike was disgraced out and to know it's by a woman makes it even more enjoyable. Obiano need to distance himself from that greedy goat. Apga must restrategise and move on. The party must not die. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Re: Anambra light of the nation, eastern economy power house. by Cuche: 8:32pm On Apr 02, 2015 |
asha80:Trusting in any assurance from President Jonathan is not the solution. GEJ is still confused at the moment and may remain that way till the PDP top guys make the final decision on whether to give a final push on frustrating the handover or not. The guys who give the others use the President's name even when he is not aware of it. They wouldn't mind making the call directly from the President's private line Let's not forget they are still in power and in near absolute control of the apparatus of Government be it police or military. However, one language the rigging agents understand is how much card do you place on the table. They will be able to disobey directives from the oga who gives very little and issues more orders as against the oga who displays more card. I think Obiano should pay Anyim a visit, going with gentlemen who are good negotiators, the earlier the better. Make a conclusive deal between now and the 11th after all Anyim does not really like Obi or his friends Even a 50-50 situation in Anambra State House of Assembly will not favour Obiano or the State Government . I personally do not think Buhari will care less about the APGA-PDP battle when the chips are down |

asha80:If actually Obiano wrote that address, then he has not fully understood the politics of Anambra. I mean which court was he expecting to overturn the fact that PDP won. The election that brought him to power was bad enough that even a candidate (Nwoye) had his name removed from the voters register 2weeks to that election. Or was the INEC crooks who shared N60 million just to frustrate Idemili North voters not enough evidence Did any Court annul the elections? |
Re: Anambra light of the nation, eastern economy power house. by Gamechanger: 9:38pm On Apr 02, 2015 |
Cuche: My friend, not finding a candidates name in the voters register is not enough to cancel an election. There is the doctrine of substantial compliance. And once it is shown that the election substantially complies with the electoral act, the election will be sanctioned by the court. This is moreso when Nwoye and Ngige were seeking the cancellation of the entire election. Cancellation of elections is not done for just any flimsy reason because it is based mainly on proof of criminal allegations beyond reasonable doubts which is usually difficult and of public policy issues (such like the expenditure that goes into the conduct of elections) see Eze vs Okolagu, Buhari vs Yar Adua, Akeredolu vs Mimiko, Chime vs Ezea etc This is quite different from the instant case where results collated were rewritten and different scores awarded to the candidates different from what was obtained at the polling stations. The APGA candidates will of course not seek the cancellation of the entire election ( which is more difficult) but will seek the subtraction of the unlawful votes credited to the other candidate and for the court to declare him the winner afterwards. See Peter Obi vs INEC, Mimiko vs INEC, Aregbesola vs Oyinlola, Oshiomhole vs INEC. 4 Likes |

Gamechanger:Right, I am not a lawyer and will not like to be one in a country like 9ja . I don't think APGA will get much from going to court, the evidence will be elusive to obtain and our judges are specialist electoral 'case dismissals' for reasons best known to them Where I think APGA should focus on is the State Assembly elections. They should sit down and put their acts together, getting 100% of the seats is achievable and that will be in the best interest of the state for now. One way to checkmate politicians who will give orders to the security agencies in the President's name concerning aiding malpractices is to befriend SGF, Sen Anyim even if it is for these 8 days. When that is out of the way, their efforts at campaigning and the Willie is Working will reflect in the election results |
Re: Anambra light of the nation, eastern economy power house. by FreeGlobe(f): 9:34am On Apr 03, 2015 |
Cuche:The only election APGA can contest is that of central. Even if the elections in Anambra north and south are conducted a million times, pdp will still win. Obiano like you said should focus on clearing the state assembly seats now that pdp is out of the way. Whatever it takes. I think they will be more prepared this time. I should believe obiano knows what is at stake by this time. 1 Like |

Cuche:lol.. I have been very bitter since Monday about Jonathan's loss but each time I remember Peter obi lost too I'm reprieved. This marks the end of peter obi in the political scene. Jonathan showed so much naivety by using him as his campaign director for south. He over estimated Peter obi's relevance. The result is the low, dismal figures from the SS and SE. He probably looted the money for mobilization of voters. We had better people of influence who could have been used for the job. Here is what Thisday wrote about him. http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/the-winners-and-losers/205824/ |
Re: Anambra light of the nation, eastern economy power house. by Kagame: 5:33pm On Apr 03, 2015 |
PDPs loss at the center is very bad news for Anambra politics ,even though its good for the nation. Anambra is a politically competitive state as shown by the high number of rich and influential people vying for various political positions - sometimes you see 15 -20 people vying for just one political position ! Somehow ,PDPs grip at the center has kept the brigands busy at the center ,while the state experienced a new lease of life and experienced political peace under sucessive APGA govts. Also the political space was opened at the state level for sincere politicians to emerge and the result is quite visible from the developmental strides recorded so far. Now that PDP has lost at the center, the PDP brigands/career politicians and the new APC government through Ngige will return for the soul of anambra. Ngige will return with federal might while the PDP guys will ignore the pact of non-agression between the GEJ govt and APGA at the local level. These PDP guys have no scruples ! Obiano must perform and keep his political base strong else he'd be swept away by the coming tsunami ! APGA has been good to Anambra and I hope it remains so. 2 Likes |

Now they can falsify election results as they like, but just as Peter booted him out in the courts for false elections result, will whoever he cheats to occupy any position. asha80:the man is a Peter obi loyalist who was chased out from APGA. He is crying wolf after losing his seat. I don't think obiano will ever move to APC. This is actually the moment for him to build APGA without pdp distractions. If otti wins Abia then the party will gain more strength. I think the support of PDP by APGA caused a lot of damage to the party. Obiano will rather move to PDP than APC 1 Like |

FreeGlobe: I agree with you. This is when Obiano can do what Tinubu did with ACN to capture the SE without being almost apologetic to PDP, while we are in APGA. No matter what happens at the Federal level, as far as we are concerned, we must continue to secure good governance in our region through APGA. On April 11th, our people must not look back in securing good accountable leadership in our region through APGA. 2 Likes |
