So much ignorant folks

Do you know how much Lagos ALONE is contributing to the Nigerian Economy? Is it controlled by Jonathan or Fashola.

Ignorant people saying Jonathan did it..watch and see how rapid the economy will grow in the next few years..we are not talking about private jet economy here

Oh so the country won't make any effort to achieve that projection until 2040? See your head? Didn't anyone tell you that projections are created based on nation's growth each year? Didn't anyone tell you that a country's economy grows every year depending on who is leading?

Now let me repeat what I said, with an illiterate like Buhari I don't see that projection becoming a reality. Let me simplify it for your useless head: with his ruling, the country im economy is going to go in reverse. He'll reduce that country till the point even Zimbabwe would be better therefore, that projection is nothing but a piece of paper writing. The person that actually made it possible got kicked out few days ago.

Didn't think I needed to simplify simple English. No wonder you are an APC fan, na olodo you be just like your president.

When you wonder why they invite Buhari some fools will think it's to discuss Nigeria's progress cheesy cheesy. Not knowing they have plotted our downfall but President Jonathan was too "clueless" for them to use.

OK....it isn't PDP's fault. We get it.

Now they see a dependable ally, a tested and trusted man who does things in reverse. He reversed the Metro-line project 30 years ago and the Jakande housing scheme. Now he is back to reverse the foundations and policies which Jonathan has laid down already.

He reversed those projects back then because we were broke. Oil prices had fallen in 1982....and our savings account then was running low.Doing the metroline project back then would have put us into more debt...which we would have been paying back. Buhari had to save money....hence the cancellation of the project.

I am sure that if Buhari had built the thing...you people would have been blasting him for increasing Nigeria's debt load.

Right now...we are in the same situation as before. All because Jona(and his PDP predecessors) refused to get us off oil. And this oil shock is going to be worse than the previous one...because we are more reliant on oil.

You wonder why the west have not been happy with Jonathan right from time was because he refused to play ball. They once had a puppet in Obasanjo whom they willingly used to install Sharia in Nigeria (Major cause of Boko Haram) and also claimed Bakassi, giving it to their stooge Cameroon.

1.The whole Sharia thing started back in the 1977-78 Constituent Assembly meetings...which was held to discuss the 1979 Constitution....which led to a serious argument.....and the current Sharia law(1999 constitution is the 1979 constitution polished up). So...to blame Obasanjo for the Sharia thing is facetious. He had no choice under the Constitution. Yes...Nigeria is a SECULAR country....but even in secular countries...you gotta allow some leeway for religious practice.(In a real secular country...the govt would have no business declaring public hols on religious days...or even allowing prayers at govt functions. Go figure).

And anyway...we have always had Sharia. The main quibble was whether Sharia should be extended to criminal cases.

Boko Haram has many fathers...chief among which is the poor economy we have been running...the oil dependent economy...which allows for over-importation...leading to less jobs....widespread poverty .....and recruits for Boko. Then there is the rise of fundamentalism, and so on.

2.As for Bakassi....Bakassi sadly was never ours. And the mistake we made was going to the ICJ. We should have simply held out for a UN referendum.

For a summary of the reasons why Bakassi was never ours...see here:http://www.scylforfreedom.org/publications/gowon_and_bakassi.pdf

Now another MUMU is in power. They have begun inviting him to meetings undecided undecided. The day Nigeria go wise cha...

You are sad your party lost. That's democracy. Live with it...and go and make the leader....both at Abuja and at the state....work for you.

Stop blaming everyone else. That is how you lost out in the first place.

If Nigeria must be Africa'sfirst superpower....

1.We have to fix the electricity power supply

2.We have to fix our education system

3.We have to become self sufficient....by getting off oil via industries.

But the problem with Nigerians is that they would rather chop oil money...than work towards self sufficiency. Indeed....GEJ fans and Buhari fans are alike in one respect....they wanted their man to win because it means more money to chop....and for the losing side...a loss=less kudi.

That is why Nigeria might not become a great nation. And even if we split...all the new nations will be torn apart by the share the cake mentality. I hope that the drop in oil prices would force us to be more self sufficient....and I will be watching GMB to see if he would take us down that road.

No more oil dependency.

Calm down bro. Let's give the man the benefit of doubt, at least. You can't be this pessimistic this early, man. Abi you dey pray make him fail? Chill. God has His reasons for ordaining GMB.

Buhari have ruled before, what did he achieve?
Infact sef, go up north. Tell me what did Buhari do to change the lifestyle up north? Yet he was one of northern leaders that was in Nigeria's politics for a long while. I've looked at his people and seen the amount of change he provided to them. I've heard him speak, not essays written for him but actually him opening his mouth to speak and I can deduct, Buhari is going to be a terrible terrible leader. You can quote me on that anyday. I'm being pessimistic for a reason. If it was someone new, someone without a long history in Nigerian politics like let's say Ribadu, I'll give him a benefit of a doubt.

Nigeria's economy will grow better...once people stop thinking that there is a national cake.

There is no national cake....it is more of a national N100 loaf of bread...half of which has been eaten by persons unknown....and the other half is not very palatable.

I guess it is time we worked. Wonder why Nigeria cannot design and manufacture radios/cars/etc.

do you ever wonder why Nigeria continues to be in the spots-light? I will tell you...it's because of her dominance and presence in every sector of African economy, entertainment, lifestyle, e.t.c Managing a country of nearly 200million is not easy,..but that's not an excuse for our perceived "failure" Your country is a very small irrelivant[no offence]country in Africa. Peaceful?...yea.,but that's just about it. So whatever goes on in your country stays withing it,because the media[particularly the international media] doesn't care about your nation. They probably can't locate your nation in Africa's map. But you are aware of how CNN,BBC,ALJAZEERA e.t.c report news from Nigeria with speed because it is an African Power House. They report everything...from what the politicians eat to the color of their intestines. So you see the attention is focused on us more than any country. The activities that goes on here are not quite different from what goes on in your country [excepting terrorism and corruption-because we have the money] but we get more attention than your country...it's so unfortunate.

My dearest you totally missing the point. The international attention you get in your country from way back is because you are a troubled country (hot spot). The world Will always focus its attention towards any country that they feel is unable to handle its business. Indonesia, Mali even Madagascar at some point became the focus point because of internal conflict fortunately for them they were able to sort their issues quicker. Unfortunately your country is seen to be continuously in a mass. You are unable to rise from your conflicts on your own. The international community is looking after themselves not you, if you think they love you really deluded.

It is of concern to world powers especially because of your big population and if a war breaks out in Nigeria the world countries have to pick up the pieces in terms of refugees, peace keeping and financial aid. So putting the spot light on you as a preventative measure is justified. More so because Nigerians are a problem when it comes to crime fraud and scams. Who would want such country to go up in flames and inherit such kind of people in a more desperate situation? Trust me no one.

Get it now? I don't hate on Naija I just think you need to be realistic and not celebrate nonsense. I am a staunch supporter of General Baha'i because I wish Nigeria to be better and play a real big brother role in Africa so far you have been more of disgrace ( sorry to say this) than anything else.

Mandela once said a very important thing to one of your journalist that " If Nigeria does not get its affairs in order Africa Will never come right" which i am 100% in agreement with. Africa is waiting for Nigeria to come right so it could be great again.

I think that Buhari is a “no give-up“ man who is strategic and who is determine to win. See what he has done with APC. With the right team, I believe he will do well. SA shall never overtake NG.

How long did it take una to take over SA? Did you take over SA economy when Buhari first ruled?
