LOL Igbos are still sleeping......expecting them to shout marginalization by next year

I hate to dabble into these National fault lines. However, why are these southwest bigots all over Internet spewing their sophisticated tribalism and hate against the most liberal Nigerians because of political persuasion and choices.

I assume there is a cultural angle to this madness. More than any group, the SW seem to think that they are culturally superior to everybody else. They fact that feudalism, a core aspect of their cultural outlook belongs to the days of ovaranwem seem to easily elude them. And so they think that the igbos have no culture because unlike them, igbos dont roll in the mud when they want to say "good morning" to their fathers.., they must be waking their old ones with "sliding tackles'".. Other peoples cultural symbols and leaders are mercilessly attacked while everything done in Yorubaland is seen as the best. As the hollow attempt at cultural chauvinism progresses, a laughable attempt to sound intellectually superior is vigorously pursued even when facts are in short shrift..

When they tell you they play "sophisticated politics", what they actually mean is that they are they best strategist in the country.., pray tell me; how can you boldly and proudly lay claim to sophistication in politics when all you do when you are not in opposition is to position yourself actively, intellectually and strategically to grab the biggest crumbs from the fulani sickening table?

How does sucking furiously from the hausa fulani behind make one a sophisticated being? bunch of clowns

A national leader and former chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Chief Bisi Akande, has said President Goodluck Jonathan is marginalising the Yoruba in all constitutional appointments in the country.

He also pointed out that the president had not hidden  his disdain for Yoruba leaders, who have any views contrary to his own.

Akande said this on Wednesday at the inaugural lecture of the Dauda Adegbenro Foundation, in honour of the late Chief Dauda Adegbenro, a former Premier of the Western Region, in Abeokuta.

Akande, who was the chairman on the occasion, in his speech titled, ‘Adegbenro fought against impunity’, noted that no administration had disrespected the Yoruba nation like Jonathan’s.

Unlike the late politician and statesman, Akande noted that the current administration at the centre promoted impunity and imposed unwanted leaders on the people.

Tracing the history of imposition of unwanted leaders on the people by the Federal Government to early 60s, which he said led to the ‘Operation We tie‘ crisis in the Western Region, Akande said the nation needed politicians in the mould of Adegbenro to fight the emerging impunity in governance.

He said, “We are back in similar era of using the regime of impunity in Jonathan’s Federal Government to impose unwanted individuals as leaders in each of the states of Yoruba land.

“It will not be an overstatement to say therefore, that we now require many more Dauda Adegbenros to lead Yoruba’s protest against Jonathan’s regime’s impunity once again in Yorubaland.”

“Apart from marginalising the Yoruba in all constitutional appointments of his government, Jonathan’s trait has always been to persecute the Yoruba leaders, whom he perceived to have contrary views to his own.”

The historic Parliament Building in Ibadan was over-filled today as prominent Yoruba in all professions, princes and monarchs, governors and former governors, gathered to articulate their aspirations and minimum demands from the Federal Government.
The high point of the summit, convened by the illustrious Yoruba retired army general, Alani Akinrinade was the total support given the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, General Muhammadu Buhari.
The summiteers declared unanimously, “It is Buhari or nobody else”.
A major proponent of this declaration, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Samuel Odulana Odugade who was represented by High Chief Eddy Oyewole said, “On 28 March, 2015, let us vote for Buhari”.
He condemned the candidate of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan for wasting the meager resources of the country by lavishly bribing various individuals and groups to secure their supports.

While Senator Anthony Adefuye strongly stated, “Only a bastard Yoruba will vote for Jonathan, Senator Olabiyi Durojaiye said, ‘We will vote en masse for Buhari”.
Shortly after delivering the message sent by the governorship candidate of Accord Party in the state, Senator Rasheed Ladoja that he would go the way of Yoruba people.



Senator Ayo Fasanmi declared, “At this point, we Yorubas should know where we are going. PDP is distributing money to earn wrong votes. Come May 29, we will be happy when Buhari becomes the president of the nation.

“Why would Jonathan appoint ministers two months to the end of his term if not that they want to use all means to steal what is left in the coffer; that is if anything is left? By God’s grace, I, Senator Ayo Fasanmi will vote for Buhari. May 29, Buhari will be sworn in as our president.”

National Chairman, Afenifere Renewal Group, ARG, Honourable Olawale Oshun said that considering the fact that Yoruba people have been suffering marginalisation within the Nigerian state for the past 16 years, Yorubas should vote for leaders who have its interests at heart in order to bring an end to this unacceptable state of affairs.
Oyo State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi who decried the high level of maginalisation of Yoruba in the Jonathan led administration said, “We have been subject of brazen marginalization and deliberate attempt to whittle down our historical contributions to the development of Nigeria. It will interest you to note that in the wheel of power at the centre, there are only two Yoruba people. Indeed, out of the 50 most powerful men and women in the executive, legislative, judicial and even security components of power in Nigeria, there are only two Yoruba people. These are the Chief of Staff to the President, whose choice was almost an afterthought and the Accountant General of the Federation.”

Following suit, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola of State of Osun joined others in condemning Oodua Peoples Congress, OPC, for derailing from the principle of ‘omoluabi” that Yoruba is known for by collecting bribe from a desperate aspirant.

Professor Yemi Osinbajo, the Vice President Candidate of APC, in his short remarks, urged Nigerians to be patient at this trying moment assuring that things would soon change for the better when APC takes over government at the centre.



[b]In the communique issued at the end of the summit, the main grievances of the region include: maginalisation which has attained the status of deliberate policy of the central government of Nigeria, calculated attempts to invade and subjugate Yoruba land through covert, disguised and even official policies of the Central Government, misguiding some elements in the region for their selfish reasons, decimation of entrepreneurial ambitions of Yoruba people through Federal Institutions and agencies that are supposed to be enablers and facilitators of economic development, near virtual absence of reliable and critical infrastructure of electricity, energy, and transportation which has led to the collapse of economic activities in Yoruba land, absence of proactive, concerted, and visionary leadership in Nigeria, insecurity at the level of state of emergency, and failure of the resolutions of the National Conference to resolve fundamental issues that are prerequisite to a sustainable federalism.[/b]


As a result, in the communique, they demanded for regionalism, diversification of economy, holding free, fair, credible and transparent elections as scheduled to commence on Saturday, March 28, 2015, resistance to any form of unelected government, be it Government of National Unity, Interim National Government or howsoever described, repealing of laws and policies that stifle the creativity of the people, dismantling of all pseudo-security agencies that impede peace, harass and terrorise her citizens in order to enforce pre-determined agenda that are not consistent with the wishes of the region, and removal of all bottlenecks in the way of provision of effective and efficient transportation system, electrical power, and petroleum refining infrastructure.

According to the communique, “That the effectiveness of the Federal Government of Nigeria lies on focusing on the critical issues of governance that are common to all components, like defence, national security, foreign affairs, currency and exchange rate, etc, while all other socio-economic responsibilities, especially that of resource control, devolve to the federating units. Yoruba must pursue their destiny in line with the development priorities and ambitions of her people. The creation of a structural environment for effective devolution of powers to the country’s constituent units as a strategic development is imperative. Yoruba people will not hesitate to take our destiny in our own hands in the event of any attempt to compromise our democratic existence.”

Dignitaries at the occasion include: Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State, and his deputy, Chief Moses Adeyemo, former governors including: Dr. Kayode Fayemi and Otunba Niyi Adebayo of Ekiti State, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola of State of Osun, former Military Governor of the Mid-West State, Samuel Ogbemudia, former Deputy Governor of Ekiti, Modupe Adelabu, Professor Albert Olawale, former Vice Chancellor of Obafemi Awolowo University, OAU, Professor Wale Omole, and his Ekiti State University counterpart, Professor Akin Oyebode, Professor John Ayoade, Senator Babafemi Ojudu, Senator Olabiyi Durojaiye, Senator Bayo Salami, Senator James Kolawole, , The Managing Director of The News Magazine, Bayo Onanuga, President of the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes, CCII, Ambassador Olu Sanu, Adeniyi Akintola, SAN, prominent monarchs in the region including: Soun of Ogbomosho, Oba Jimoh Oladunni Oyewumi Ajagungbade III, Oba Adeniyi Sonariwo, Akarigbo Remo, Oba Kolawole Sowemimo of Owode-Egba, Asheyin of Iseyin, Oba Ganiyu Adekunle Ologunebi, and Eleruwa of Eruwa, Oba Samuel Adegbola.

Yoruba playing the second fiddle always. In 2007 the ACN went begging a Northerner(Mr Ribadu) to be their flag bearer. In 2011 they went begging another northerner (Gen Buhari) to be their Presidential candidate with a Yoruba son as his vice(Pst Tunde Bakare). Then again in 2015 it was Gen Buhari again with another Yoruba person(Prof Osibanjo) as his vice. Then you ask yourself why don't they want to present a Yoruba man as their candidate and insist on it? The reason is obvious, their Masters(Hausa/Fulani) will easily call their bluff and walk away. This victory is mainly a Northern victory 'cause in the final analysis it's the North that's in power.

You never voted Goodluck Jonathan, rather the political apparatuses and structures were paid off.

From the day when the seventh parliamentarians were sworn in was the day the Southwest started scheming against Jonathan administration and PDP by selling the Speakership of HOR reserved for the region to Northwest while positioning themselves for a latter day crumbs from them in 2015.

Tell me what audacity the Southwest has to be schooling the Southeast about political sophistication through opposition and missing on NASS leaderships when they (Southwest) sold theirs to play total opposition in 2011?

Dear Igbo compatriots:
One of the closet Igbo man to the president elect is Dr Chris Ngige onwa, a senator who was defeated in the senatorial election.
See how bad Igbos are at strategizing? They couldn't override a pathological hatred for Gen. Buhari to make a hedge bet and return this man to the senate to enhances his chances at senate president in case Gen. Buhari wins, which he did.

Instead folks played tribal and religious politics to the tilt as drunken sailors, and failed the man and the chances to make history as senate president.
That's what happens when emotions trips common sense and folks succumb to hustlers like Arthur Eze, and peter Obi, hustlers after their own interest instead of the masses they pretend to serve.

I urged caution, I pledged that we were making a huge mistake to our wagon on Jonathan who wasn't going to win. And predictably he lost, so also our chance in the new administration.

I hate to gloat.
But maybe, maybe. Only maybe he gets a good ministerial appointment but nothing beats being a senate president. Igbos are very bad at politics. Fifty years after independence, we yet to produce a president when others have taken multiple turns.our answer? Blames others! Only if Hausas didn't do this or yorubas didn't do that, perhaps the god of politics will bless our lot.

And sadly it won't stop until we learn to coexist with others instead of our better than thou attitude when dealing with the Hausas and yorubas. We are not better than anyone, those folks we thumbs our noses at are God's creatures like us. We don't like the Hausas and we don't like the Yorubas, yet we populate their states in search for our livelihood.

Our politics should mirror our economic aspiration not the other way round. There is no wisdom in living in the north, earning a living, yet despise the northerners. That's being ungrateful. The gods of politics don't like that.

How long can this collective amnesia insulate us from meaningfully seating at the table, making contribution to Nigeria's political evolution?

How long can this foolishness go on? How long?

There is a miserable silence across the land today because we are realizing that we were sold off for pennies by pimps who parade as Igbos leaders.

Where they?

Are they at home?
