I hate to dabble into these National fault lines. However, why are these southwest bigots all over Internet spewing their sophisticated tribalism and hate against the most liberal Nigerians because of political persuasion and choices. I assume there is a cultural angle to this madness. More than any group, the SW seem to think that they are culturally superior to everybody else. They fact that feudalism, a core aspect of their cultural outlook belongs to the days of ovaranwem seem to easily elude them. And so they think that the igbos have no culture because unlike them, igbos dont roll in the mud when they want to say "good morning" to their fathers.., they must be waking their old ones with "sliding tackles'".. Other peoples cultural symbols and leaders are mercilessly attacked while everything done in Yorubaland is seen as the best. As the hollow attempt at cultural chauvinism progresses, a laughable attempt to sound intellectually superior is vigorously pursued even when facts are in short shrift.. When they tell you they play "sophisticated politics", what they actually mean is that they are they best strategist in the country.., pray tell me; how can you boldly and proudly lay claim to sophistication in politics when all you do when you are not in opposition is to position yourself actively, intellectually and strategically to grab the biggest crumbs from the fulani sickening table? How does sucking furiously from the hausa fulani behind make one a sophisticated being? bunch of clowns I wouldn't forget so soon the shame of Ibadan declaration and the tribalistic venom they spewed. Read these articles to know the tribalists and saboteurs masquerading as intellectuals OCTOBER 15, 2014 BY SAMUEL AWOYINFA, ABEOKUTA Only a bastard Yoruba will vote for Jonathan |

BodyKiss:Whatever makes you happy is okay by me! We have a very big question mark over Rochas! Even if he wins this next election, we shall eventually teach him the lesson he has refused to learn! The north voted Buhari just because he is "North": you can deny it though! |

[quote author=IsraeliAIRFORCE post=32377900]You seem to forget that before all the accusations, Jonathan had already proved himself to be a clueless and incompetent president- The accusations which unfortunately are true, merely cemented our decision to vote Jonathan out. Did we or did we not vote him in 2011? Didn't APC asked the SS and SE to join them when it was newly formed? What did your region do when we complained about marginalisation? Were SW votes an actual determinant of favouritism for N over SS and SE, excluding the fact that Buhari won in almost all SW states? Answer those questions objectively like an onlooker and make your objective conclusions |

noblezone:Of course, that is the main reason the provided for 25% in 25 states ![]() Their votes would not have made s much impact without the support of other core regions in Nigeria |

Yoruba playing the second fiddle always. In 2007 the ACN went begging a Northerner(Mr Ribadu) to be their flag bearer. In 2011 they went begging another northerner (Gen Buhari) to be their Presidential candidate with a Yoruba son as his vice(Pst Tunde Bakare). Then again in 2015 it was Gen Buhari again with another Yoruba person(Prof Osibanjo) as his vice. Then you ask yourself why don't they want to present a Yoruba man as their candidate and insist on it? The reason is obvious, their Masters(Hausa/Fulani) will easily call their bluff and walk away. This victory is mainly a Northern victory 'cause in the final analysis it's the North that's in power. |

Justfollowit:You never voted Goodluck Jonathan, rather the political apparatuses and structures were paid off. From the day when the seventh parliamentarians were sworn in was the day the Southwest started scheming against Jonathan administration and PDP by selling the Speakership of HOR reserved for the region to Northwest while positioning themselves for a latter day crumbs from them in 2015. Tell me what audacity the Southwest has to be schooling the Southeast about political sophistication through opposition and missing on NASS leaderships when they (Southwest) sold theirs to play total opposition in 2011? The Southeast and South-south have decided to try out the opposition politics and should be appreciated for their choice. |

I am igbo and I can see. Rochas is the only reasonable man in igbo land. Whereas ojukwu led the igbos in collective hate to disaster in war, Rochas knows that love is the only weapon of war. My fellow igbos make me wish I were not igbo. The stupid, utterly needless hatred for northerners will only generate a flame that will consume them. They seek cessation, but forget that Igbo's depend on the north for food and the west as well. All the major churches attended by Igbo's have their base in Yoruba land, 70% of Igbo youths live outside Igbo land. Igbo land, contributes a minute percentage to Nigeria's GDP. And make no mistake, rivers, delta and akwa ibom are NOT Igbo land, for those planning to steal oil to Biafra. Ijaws, ogonis and ikwerre are NOT Igbo. Igbo's will see in time. But for now, there is nothing any argument can do. |

BuddahMonk:I am Igbo. Yet for cursing one who had been eternally blessed by God in Christ Jesus, of whom it is written, he who curses you shall be cursed, I decree that your words shall be your lot. As u have needlessly cursed, so shall disaster needlessly befall u. It is done unto you according to your words, in Jesus name. Amen. |
