I'm still of the opinion people should keep it low until they meet in person. The Skype, phone calls and messaging just does not suffice. Remember, people can be anything they want online. You've also got to understand that arguably personalities online can appear to seem different to people's real life identities.

In an online relationship, people's identity, off air profile are usually created in a way to appeal to other uses or portray a close to perfect picture. They might even be married or in a serious relationship in real life but assert otherwise off air.

Online relationship is more often than not a make believe. Until you meet this person never lose your guard and fall completely in love with them so one don't come crying wolf.

I once had a "relationship" online, fb, whatsapp, late night phone calls for 5 years. Lol dnt laugh he was my rock cause he always popped up when life was pulling me down and he'd put me back together over a course of time and then we'd stop contact for long or short periods of time.

In the 5 years we met up two amazing Times. I was convinced I'd met my soulmate. On our 3rd and last time we met up there was nothing. No chemistry no nothing it dead. Lol so in that time what we had was close friendship I guess but we me more than him both thought it was love.

Yes, that's it. Good thing you both met. Else you may have continued living in falsehood for longer than 5years. Not that one can't have some feelings or attachment to someone they met online, no. But they should just don't fall head over heels on the person until they meet.
