Even if it is being moved it should be stored away. It is a freaking base not a tinny camp some where.
Those crates were most probably in transit.

There is a reason why after 13 attacks with AA, RPG, tanks and mortar the base hasn't gone boom.

It's simply because Ammo is well stored.

Luck maybe. The ammo was in the open and accomadstion area.

The SANDF is an inept, grossly inefficient, and truly incompetent parade ground force. The Nigerian military is a proper fighting group.

You can't compare the two. We can do photographs, but what is truly important for us is letting the enemy feel the pain.

Seleka rebels took your special forces to the cleaners, you should truly be scared of the damage we could bring on your poorly trained troops.
If it was UNITA or a similar rebel group which is well armed and trained.

When your force deploy the enemy will launch spoiling attacks. Those boxes would destroy or cause your men to be uncomfortable as cooking ammo will be "popping".

Seleka had to negotiate after failing to destroy less 300 men with 3000+ men supported by Chad special forces.

you sound clueless that's why you seem not seeing what's happening in your country unless you are one of those typical ignorant Nigerians that we see on this forum...Desmond tutu and malema views are uniquely theirs and have rights to express them just like many Nigerians who wish to return to the Abacha regime...fact remains your country is pathetic that's why Nigerians are flocking to SA for green pastures,2 weeks back one of your cabinet ministers was seen queuing with ordinary south africans for medical checkup at the Chris hani baragwanath hospital, south African authorities were not aware of his visit,he flew all the way from your zooland to SA just for medical checkup,I have noticed that you mention south African tribes in every post,am not surprised....thats how you people play your primitive tribal games....i hear that igbos are no longer wanted in Lagos...yeses
pplitical times my dear, is fraught with emtions which spilt over from the mouth of the Oba of Lagos.

Every Nigerian has condemned it including the Oba'a poeple.

But everyone knows pre 1994 south Africa is alot better than post 1994 South Africa which is marked by räpe, infrastructural decay, HIV prevalence, corruption, incompetence, violence, economic stagnation, collapse of government firms and institution, low school attendance , high penchant for drugs, (which few Nigerians gladly supply you and yours)

The truth is many africans came to South Africa after helping you alight from your trees and mountains after putting pressure on your Dutch conquerors to allow you attend school and become humans again.

Problem is 21 years after the Dutch act of kindness, you lazy South african still haven't caught up to modern trends,so Nigerians and co have to fill in the jobs and vacancies left open. That's still little in comparison to what we did for you.

You have to show some sense of gratitude.

.......i was almost forgetting this...

Tell me, what did you and your fathers built and contributed in South Africa?

because we built Nigeria with our bare hands and blood. And just after 55 years, we are Africa's No. 1 economy.

Firstly a definition is a definition,Nigeria is in a civil war FACT!so very sorry mate!!

"Nigeria's economy has been growing steady at 6-7% oil price just got it down to around 5&. The economy is greatly diversified, you much Oyibo trash."
Nigeria's expected growth was revised from 7% to 4,8% in 2015,and even that at this stage seems to be an overestimate!
And no!! Your economy is not diversified 80% of your National income is dependent on Oil!!So you better hope the oil prices start rising...and fast!!

And btw our economy grew by 4.1% in the last quarter of 2014.

"Funny when I read all your online tabloids after Nigeria was declared the biggest economy in africa. I was atually shocked that it took many South Africans by surprise, both individuals and institutions."

Jap!I was shocked,I was shocked that a country with 180 million people and huge oil reserves took so fvking long to pass a country with only 50 million people and No! oil reserves!
nope, what's shocking is how a country of 55 years will bleep into insignificance a country that was growing steadily since over 300 years.

What's the diffeence between 4.8% & 5% ?
And you call that an estimate? You better start prepping yourself for worse news to save yourself a heart attack, because the glory days for south Africa is completely over.

Your economic growth you claim seems to be in sharp contrast to the ISS report.

During the Obasanjo administration, crude oil fell to $38 per barrel and Nigeria just shrugged it off. Oil is more than $50 today.

First of,

This video completely lays to waste the spurious allegations/ and multiple lies been peddled by Aljazeera, CNN, BBC et al, of Nigerian troops been under-equipped / under-resourced .

If the SANDF was a proper military that can afford aviation fuel/ tents, make sound strategic or tactical decisions or even shoot properly, then we would have been able to talk.

1.22 000 hours of aviation fuel
2.Tents have been dispatched
3.Wtf are you talking about?
4.Thats the germans

Henry120:

The trenches are primarily a defensive position to provide troops defending the FOB with cover. There is also no proof that these are the forward trenches. I mean, it's right in-front of the commanders office.

They expressly said it was the frontline.

That was not the commander - it was the intelligence officer.

Henry120:

Above all, with 1300 enemy forces killed in Konduga FOB in a 3 consecutive attacks november of 2014, and 13 attacks in total, their tactics have proven to be flawless and impeccable.

Well done - you killed an unconfirmed number of peasants whilst in a fortified position and with air and arty support.

What do you want? A cookie?

Henry120:

Ammo, Ammo isn't stored outside. It's common sense actually, they are most likely recently delivered rounds, which would in-turn be sent inside for storage.

Seeing that the documentary was made at the heat of the offensive, those Ammo are meant for re-supply to friendly forces during operations.

Nope- they said that the one bloke sleeps amongst them.

Meaning those ammo cases had been left out in the open for days.

Henry120:

The FOB is an abandoned secondary school in the middle of nowhere. Most schools in Africa don't come with bunkers like you have in israel.

Dig them you chucklefuck - soldiers have been digging bunkers for 1000 years.

Henry120:

Troops in their FOB can dress how they like. I've seen british forces engage the enemy in only underpants. Only Private friday has has a desert camo T-shirt, the others are all in woodland camo.

Pic related - over 8 types of cammo worn.

Brits all manage to wear the same unfiorme - unlike you lot

Proven by the fact that South African men training your men is what turned the tide of your war.

They have ruthlessly messed up the enemy in konduga FOB. It means clearly that their tactics are flawless. no baseline change is required, only improvements done. They have dealt with the enemy on 13 different occasions.

The MG nest is protected with Sandbags.

They have, Igirigi, CS/VP3 MRAPs, IFV's, T-72's and T-55's tanks. They got bofors, D-30's, 105's. They got drones, attack Helicopers and Surveillance assets to call in. Of course, loads and loads of Ammo.

The Ammo isn't a disaster waiting to happen, it is well protected. After 13 different attacks, the enemy attacking with AA mounted on gun-trucks, RPG's, MG's and tanks.

Konduga FOB has proven to be one of the worlds most well defended FOB, and an ideal research topic.

Well done - you defended against some rebels with technicals

how will that base stop a regular army? those trenches arent deep enough to provide protection against 105mm mortars - same with that bunker.

Supply shortages in your army is well documented, as is your lack of support

A section of motorized SANDF infantry would over-run it in an hour or so

Now, why dont you back up some claims with citations.

Our firms are COLONISING you, not moving to you. Just look at which stock exchange they are listed on - yours or ours?

Infastrcture? You have none.

And FYI - half white half black.
So, half of me is what enslaved your ass with such ease, the other half of me is from the only peoples in all of Africa to resist british invasion and actually defeat them in an open set-peice battle.

So Toyota in America means Japan is enslaving America. American power generating firms in Australia means America is colonising Australia and BMW and Mercedes firms in South Africa means Germany is enslaving you. Lol, see how hollow your logic is exposed to be.

Anyways, has anyone noticed how the Southies are rejecting being black here, especially when over 90% of the population is black? First jl115 and now patches689?

They know black in South Africa are really the scums of the earth, Africa's cry baby.

indeed, Japan has successfully defeated china in the past. But if she as much as attempt to cough now, she will be obliterated out of the world map.

And I hate your ignorance. China is the king now in South east Asia, in economy, in power, politics and world play. Japan has been made insignificant by China. It is exactly what Nigeria does to you.
