SANDF with African Union money built a base for 1,500 troops in a peace keeping environment.

When South African army grows up to Nigerian army's advanced experience level and builds hundreds of bases for 30,000 men spread over land as big as Scotland inside a real life war zone, come back and talk to us on Nairaland
.

Someone is forgetting about the border war again.

Training > Experience

How does building more bases make it harder? If all men are trained the same then they all build themsleves the same bases.

SANDF G-6 artillery max shell range is 39 km according to your own army sources.

Nigeria has 45 km max range rocket artillery.

G6 with VLAP is 53km

And that Nigerian company hired South Africans to set up your 72nd Strike Force (or whatever it is called). Confirmed by the latest Vice Episode and confirmed by the white guy flying the hind in that episode

Hired South African private company that has soldiers from all over the world. We did NOT hire SANDF....South African military.

The SADF used mercenaries NOT private military companies but real mercenary fighters in thousands to fight Cuban army in Angola !

The VICE reporter said that despite the few PMC that trained the small strike force of MRAP men....not T-72, not dismount infantry, not artillery, not air force.....just mwntored the already Nigerian army tarined the small Strike force only.....Vice reporter said it was still a TOTALLY NIGERIAN ARMY WAR AND VICTORY.....that was the conclusion at the end of the video, go play it again shocked shocked

SADF used foreigners for one battalion out of an army of 500 000 men.

The men hired were fromer SANDF and SADF

The Vice corrispondent said that the Strike Force was trained by foreigners - who provided an airwing as well

And who says it is a victory? You think COIN is won by holding ground?

SADF NEVER had 500,000 troops inside Angola, you would have wiped out the 50,000 Cubans in one day.

You had only 4,000 troops at any time on frontline, with 1,000 mercenaries imported from USA and Europe, then the recces and buffalo battalions also had hundreds of Angolans, Zimbabweans, Mozambicans etc all helping South Africa to stop Cuba from driving straight into Pretoria

It simply lists the range for standard ammunition.

Ok, so you just completely made up the "1000" mercenaries

Only 32 Battalion had foreigners - and they were trained and led by South Africans.

Do you know why we recruited foreigners into 32 Battalion? Do you need a lesson in psuedo operations? Another thing Mr Researcher doesnt know about?

SADF deployed 20 000 men to Angola.

pplitical times my dear, is fraught with emtions which spilt over from the mouth of the Oba of Lagos.

Every Nigerian has condemned it including the Oba'a poeple.

But everyone knows pre 1994 south Africa is alot better than post 1994 South Africa which is marked by räpe, infrastructural decay, HIV prevalence, corruption, incompetence, violence, economic stagnation, collapse of government firms and institution, low school attendance , high penchant for drugs, (which few Nigerians gladly supply you and yours)

The truth is many africans came to South Africa after helping you alight from your trees and mountains after putting pressure on your Dutch conquerors to allow you attend school and become humans again.

Problem is 21 years after the Dutch act of kindness, you lazy South african still haven't caught up to modern trends,so Nigerians and co have to fill in the jobs and vacancies left open. That's still little in comparison to what we did for you.

You have to show some sense of gratitude.

.......i was almost forgetting this...

because we built Nigeria with our bare hands and blood. And just after 55 years, we are Africa's No. 1 economy.

..on the other hand we are housing nearly 1million Nigerian refugees ...swallow your empty pride and say thank SA for your generosity...you keep on mentioning infrastructure,I hate talking about it particularly with people who only see a moving train once a year...a diesel one in this case...you talking about rape and corruption in SA like if it does not occur in your country...this clearly shows how blind you are...

South African police have arrested 17 people and opened murder cases after attacks on foreign nationals in Durban.

The violence comes in the wake of alleged comments by the Zulu king telling migrants to go home - although the he says he was mistranslated.

But Home Affairs Minister Malusi Gigaba has called on traditional leaders to stop making remarks that "could result in a loss of life".

At least 62 people died in xenophobic attacks that swept the country in 2008.

For the latest news, views and analysis see the BBC Africa Live page.

Following the alleged comments by King Goodwill Zwelithini at the end of March, 250 people have been attacked, mostly from the Democratic Republic of Congo, and foreign-owned shops have been looted in the port city of Durban.

More than 1,000 mainly African migrants have fled their homes, some going to police stations and other are being housed in tents on a sports field.
Zulu King Goodwill Zwelithini, like other traditional leaders, is widely respected
South Africa's Business Day newspaper reports that at least three people have been killed and that a Somali shopkeeper is in a critical condition.

Police spokesperson Maj Thulani Zwane told the BBC that the police do not know exactly how many people have been killed, but that some were South African nationals and some were foreigners.

'Ticking time bomb'

South African President Jacob Zuma's son, Edward, has come out in support of the Zulu king's alleged comments.
Thousands of African migrants have fled their homes around Durban fearing attack
"We need to be aware that as a country we are sitting on a ticking time bomb," he said, adding that foreigners were "taking over the country".

Raphael Baheybwa-Kambambire, president of Congolese Solidarity campaign, told the BBC that religious leaders met with Zulu monarch on Thursday.

King Zwelithini told them he was talking "only about those who don't have papers and documentation in South Africa".

Mr Gigaba said on Thursday evening that it was important not to incite violence.

"Africa in particular must not think that we hate fellow Africans so much that we are prepared to do the worst to cause them harm," he said.

On Wednesday, hundreds of people marched in front of the Durban's City Hall in protest against the xenophobic violence.

Durban-based journalist Jeff Wicks told the BBC's Newsday programme that it does not take much to stoke tensions.

Xenophobic violence flares up in townships where living conditions are poor for all those living there, irrespective of where they come from, he says.

you're correct, but your definition is also very narrow and strict. @mikeczar

Anglo always stand for English either in relation to person or culture or institution. Dutch is always Dutch. Anglo-Dutch simply refers loosely to people of brtish and Dutch backgrounds. And the two major Europeans that built and run southafrica are the Dutch who chased the natives into caves and trees, lol, then came the English who conquered the Dutch and ruled as colonists.

Yes we know other pockets of whites later came from Europe to settle in but their numbers are darn insignificant to change the term. All whites immigrating to SA either fell into the Dutch or English angle.

And isn't Afrikaans are corrupt form of Dutch language, a pidgin variant.

I don't expect you to agree to facts; it isn't in your nature.

Whites do not complain because they are secure in their learning and education.

Nigeria and Congolese, Ghanaians, Somalia a and Zimbabweans came into SA to take the jobs created by the fall of apartheid which you Zulu morons couldn't handle and unqualified to take. That's is globalisation, boy.

Why is the ANC making it mandatory for 75% black representatives to be employed? That's insecurity.

In South Africa the best pilots in your schools are traditionally meant to go into the air force while the average ones go into commercial flight. Well, since blacks do not come up tops despite their population, the ANC government are placing Zulu monkeys on the air force and directing whites to fly commercial.

We pity your incompetent, blond government. Ticking time bomb BBC says.
