all am saying is that the igbos are getting way too sentimental on this issue they should let it go and people should move on. I also think JK went too far
Did you mean to say that the Oba went too far?

I do not recall JK wishing anyone death for not voting for him.

You allow..... someone to reside in Lagos you say.

On what basis are you making that allowance?

On the basis that Lagos is not in Nigeria and has not been the capital till the recent past.

On the basis that I require a Visa to go to Lagos as a foreigner?

On the basis that when one gets to Lagos he is accorded free shelter, food and clothing?

Please tell me the basis of allowance.

It is this phantom basis of "allowance " that your Oba has latched unto to make his despicable statements.

Please liberate your mind.
Help me ask them o!

Pls don't compare Abuja with Lagos.

Let's cut the chase. Do you agree that Lagos has owners or belongs to some group of persons or group?

Btw, Abuja belongs to some set of people originally. Making it a Federal Capital doesn't take away the rightful ownership but just a bigger responsibility and National management.

Pls answer my question. Thank you.
That is exactly the point.

You do not see Abuja natives coming out to threaten residents to vote a particular candidate or get their heads smashed against Aso rock.

In the spirit of....we have sheathed our sword. Like seriously? grin That man is a clown.
I truly believe some tribes lack wisdom on how to live with others without being confrontational n entitled.

The Oba goofed. Quite alright, but must you guys abuse the institution the Yorubas hold dearly because you can't control your emotions.

When Asari threatened the Yoruba if GEJ even lost the election, we didn't hear so much noise. So wetin be na problem sef? It is obvious u guys are still living in the past, you wear a mask of hatred, you feel easily marginalised and this attitude is so irritating pathetic.

So Mr. man, don't sweat because nobody will witch-hunt your businesses or your people. We shall only sanitize the system within the confines of the law which affects everybody. When you r right, u needn't fear. One Love!

In case you lot don't know, you lose some rights when govt use your state as the capital. So Yoruba also sacrificed lands by having Lagos as the formal capital. Thank God Lagos is no longer.
Up Apc.

I assume you have friends or relatives abroad! If citizens of those countries started acting the way you do now how would you take it! Stop being myopic!
Nobody is acting funny instead the hosted are.
I am glad u mentioned the issue of having families abroad. Assuming someone is my family abroad, will he try nonsense with a common immigration officer let alone a Mayor? If someone abroad became a threat to his host, will he not be deported? Let a Nigerian go to USA and start making mouth just because he has business in the US and enrich d US economy and see what happens. When authority in US talk, he better shut up or risk deportation. 1st rule of Power: don't abuse ur host.
Hatred and anger kills slowly.
I don't know who and who were sent back to their land by Fashola. But it is the reason why they are now working against the government believing that's the only way to vent their anger. Lagosians are OK with their government. Imagine someone come from the east and appoint a govt for lagosians, and the govt then went ahead to destroy lagos. Who will bear the consequences? Lagosians of course. The Easterners will sure relocate back to their land and leave the yorubas to bear d impact of what they caused. The yorubas want to determine who governs them. Is it too much to ask for?. If I am in d USA and didn't like their terms, it is either I stay and eat their crumbs or I leave and go back to my country. It is not a must. Boasting that I am one of the people who help to develop their land and that they can't survive without me will only make them to want to prove me wrong.. I am tired of having talks like this because there is no way one can tackle this without sounding like an ethnic bigot.

Igbos so with all the noise making, una still come out come beg. Una de ma.d

Efiks,Hausas,Binis,Deltans,Igalas etc are all in Lagos, infact Lagos is the smaller Nigeria in naija yet dem no de hear dem, dem they respect their host, but you lots keep showing yourself both in Lagos, Delta, China, anywhere una go, den come back to claim Isreal of Naija. Na so the Jewish Isrealites de go disturb oda pple, y una own Igbotic-Isrealite be like this?

In any case by now you know Lagos is a Yoruba state, after all many of you now speak yoruba and don't even know how to speak your dialect.

Give it to the yoruba's, they are accomodating. I've spent most part of my life in Edo as an Efik, I have never seen any tribe trying to disrespect the great Omo no ba. (Oba I pledge loyal; Oba gha to kpe e......Ise). But you see these yeebos doing same to the yoruba king.

Go back to Abia and make it an enviable place for all tribes to want to be in.
**grins** But many of your Iniobongs are hustling in Aba.Some even claim Abia as a state of origin. You no know?

My take on this is that yoruba land being know for he hospitality and peaceful co-existent can assure the igbos of the safety of lives, business and properties but they should also prepare to respect us in our own land and stop acting as though they co-owner of the land with us, the should stop treating with hate and disdain. If they know they cannot comply with they should go back to their land.
You used Land so much in this statement, does your father have a land in lagos?
Igbos have plenty, n laws of the land don't support the trash you wrote

Do you need a Visa to go to the U.S.?

Does an Igbo man need a Visa to go to Lagos?

Do you now see how lame your epistle is?

Funny set of people.

Why ganging up against a candidate?

Common sense should mean that Igbos in Lagos will be neutral in Lagos gubernatorial election and allow people vote as they wish.
thats just the point.

They out to be neutral and if they must choosee a candidate they should do so wisely without showing conspicous disdain for another but because they are too dogmatic to reason in that light, they have succesfully put themselves and innocent few into opposition against both federal and state rulling party and have foolishly lost the number 3 position in the country.

How myopic can they be crying oof being marginalized while beingh foolish enough in planning a B option to get to the top most position in Nigeria asides the empyu noise making of Biadrian states for years.

How unfortunate

**grins** If the so-called yorubas
cannot pick up arms and pull out of
Nigeria, then they are just blowing hot
air. Lagos was developed with palm
proceeds from the east, groundnut
proceeds from the north and Oil
proceeds from the SS(which also have
large indigenous Igbo population).
The yorubas can not reap where they
did not sow.
Majority of workers in NNPC and
Chevron are yorubas who got there
because of yoruba post-war and
unjust administrative influence of the
likes of kupolokun and others.
If yorubas want non-indigenes to
leave lagos, it is very achievable but..
1. They must declare an independent
country from Nigeria. They can't eat
their cake and have it. (ie They can't
drink peoples oil and still keep FG
developed Lagos to themselves.)
2. Severe themselves from the oil
proceeds they get from regions
belonging to "strangers". No cup-in-
hand oil allocation for them.States like
oyo produce nothing but beggars and
motor psrk touts but collect one of
the highest allocations.
3. Start building a border post at Ore
with immediate effect, infact odua
diaspora can fund that.
4. Recall all their indigenes schooling
and working in oil coys and banks in
the East. Including their herbal drink
sellers.
5. Otedola, Mike Adenuga, Alakija and
their oil billionaires and oil well
owners must relinquish their Oil wells
and Oil Mining Licenses.
6. Publicly burn and denounce the
Constitution of Nigeria that
guarantees every Nigerian equal
rights.
Until they meet these very achievable
condition these guys should channel
their noisemaking and energy in
donating toilet facilities for their
families in oyo, osun and kwara. It's
more pertinent.

Lagos natives didn't do that either. A traditional ruler did and his action has been condemned several times. Since when did one person represent an entire tribe or ethnic group? Even if he was a representative, a public and humble apology has been made by both individuals and political figures.

We have apologized for what another person said. Not once, not twice. Do we really need to go on and on over this matter? For how long?

Personally, I don't expect Igbos to be moved by threats.

Can we just move one already and stop this Lagos-ownership baseless debate?
