For Your Information, Lagos is a no man's land. It was a former FEDERAL territory so no amount of ethnic colouration can make it a yoruba enclave. I intend to vie for House of Rep's from Alimosho in 2019. There's nothing ethnic jingoists like your type can do about it. End of story. If you feel aggrieved, join us in the Atlantic ocean and stop exploding your toxic ethnic agenda on social media grin
I guess cross river is also a no man's land since it's a former FEDERAL territory. The question is will igbos allow a non igbo contest for ordinary councillor in the south east?

Guy stop weeing on your pants. No one is scared. It is very simple. No one can cripple my company it is nothing to do with Yoruba. They will try to disturb the traders only yo find out that spare part prices will sky rocket and they will come back to open any closed market. Yorubas in this Lagos still drive the highest number of rickety cars and buses.

I am igbo and proudly too. Nothing scares me. Whoever is begging for protection is speaking for himself. If people want us to level this place lets go to war. When the dust is settled there will be no Lagos anymore and survivors would have learnt their lessons
I don't know what you are talking about..all tribes in Nigeria have both the "rich and poor"...this is 2015 and we should not be argueing about tribes..Igbo should just behave..

The funniest thing about Yeeboes on nairaland is that THEY ALL OWN IMAGINARY MANSIONS IN LAGOS, THEY ARE ALSO BILLIONAIRES AND FEED EVERYBODY IN LAGOS. But we know the reality on ground cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy

thank u brother! Am from delta ! I am tired of the ibo bringing us to eat insults too
that is the problem sister..a typical igbo man can pay for 5yrs house rent at a go..trust me,after that,he won't pay you a kobo for the next 10 yrs and will be ready to cause trouble...some even send their wife and children back to their village and still remain there to cause trouble...I just want people to know that South-east and South -south is not the same and can never be the same...the difference is very clear...I am not too suprise at that...how can an Igbo man tell me he or she can't marry another igbo person calling him or her an OUTCAST.....this is year 2015 for God sake...na them too dey carry religion for head like gala..they can't even live together..they just spead around and cause trouble..na wa for them o..if Nigeria must devide,...Igbo should be on their own...they only call we the South-South their brother because of the oil...abi na oyel dem dey call am..na wa

You don't have a point brother..
OK let me explain. I'm very sure that you you'll agree with me that elections can never be completely free and fair. My Akwa Ibom example is simply to highlight the fact that results do not always reflect the wishes of the people. A few people in powerful positions (politicians) manipulated things in their own favour. To tow the lines of tribal or religious sentiments is simply to make one's self a pawn in the hands of these powerful few (BH, Isis etc are classic examples). They will stop at nothing to get what they want even if it means riding on your emotions. Yoruba, Hausa, Igbo, Ghana, Kenya etc. The only differences between all of us are the ones we have created in our minds. Think deeply bro. And spread the love!

Very shameless yoruba man. Lagos maybe in SW however very different from Osun, Ondo, Oyo, Oyo, Ogun and Ekiti in that 80% of taxes and duties paid into its coffers are by non yorubas...keep that in mind. When next you see Fashola commissioning a project...say big thank you to the non yorubas who are funding it through their taxes and duties. You think Lagos can function without them? You people should be very careful how carelessly you speak. Also say big thank you to the Niger Delta for your behemoth monthly allocation...you think you can survive without this handout by generous Niger Delta people? Speaking as a Niger Deltan, the day you Yoruba will marginalize any non yoruba in Lagos, be prepared to lose your federal monthly allocation and non payment of taxes and duties by non Yorubas...let's see how you will survive. You think Lagos would have attained its current economic and social status without nom yorubas and federal character? You want one Nigeria, you must abide by every law that glues us as Nigerians.
Thank you brother
You said it all
Come to warri, go to PH, see yoruba people there, you won't even notice they are yoruba's, because to us, they are friends, neighbours, sometimes family but now, in Lagos, some yoruba's want to remind us we come from somewhere else angry but I say this, if yoruba's in lagos try this rubbish they are threatening with ibo's and by extension we South southerners, the response shall be unequal and disproportionate to the insult offered but i pray it never gets to that because it will hurt me to look into my friends eyes and know i have a reason to apologise on behalf of my people because unknown to many lagos based and stay at home yoruba's, yoruba's have a lot more to loose than South southerners if they go head to head.

What is the reality on the ground ?. Given the population of Igbos in Lagos, how many Igbos do you see in motor parks working as abgeros. How many Igbos are bus conductors or even bus drivers. The few Igbos that are bus drivers drive their own buses. How many Igbos are brick layers, masons, carpenters, mechanics, vulcanisers, panel beaters, electricians etc.

Okada riding has been taken over by young Hausa / Fulani men. Most of these people and their families are being maintained by hardworking Igbo men and women and other Nigerians of course. That is the reality on the ground. I deal with ordinary Nigerians on a daily basis. The reality is that Igbos in Lagos have the purchasing power to keep many Yoruba Lagosians fed. We keep the economy at a micro level buoyant.

The problem with you yeeboes is that anyone that engage in labouring jobs are hard working, while those that work in the office are lazy ones. Your people that little the main road with lacasea, viju milk and stuff are hardworking people while Yorubas that work in there office are lazy ones. You can continue to brag online, no one cares.

Do you know the average isekekiri see him self as closely Yoruba aligned?
So it does not mean because someone bears a youruba name is a Yoruba

Very stu$pid and dumb question. Is akin to asking a Chinese or Indian business man what he is doing in Lagos or Onitsha in spite of China being...according to you "OK". Have you heard about business opportunities beyond your environment? I know you are yoruba...get your lazy arse up and travel to Gboko, Okene, Arochukwu or something to earn a living. Stop looking for handout...SMH
I leave in east for 2yrs but I don't see anything interesting there, is when you people come to lag u behave as you people are from paradise... Anofia...

Just the way Ibos were slaves to Ojukwu. I'll rather let Tinubu than allow a sellout. It's the worst thing that can happen to Yorubas.

You people don't see nothing wrong when you call Lagos "No man's land" and insult your host. If Agbaje could pally with such tribe, then it not a joking stuff to vote against him.

The Lagos State governorship candidate of the
Peoples Democratic Party, Mr. Jimi Agbaje, says
he will accept defeat in good faith if he loses the
election.

Agbaje’s major contender, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode,
is the governorship candidate of the ruling party in
Lagos, the All Progressives Congress.

According to the PDP candidate, election should
not be a do-or-die affair.

Agbaje said, “There is no attitude about it when it
comes to offering yourself to serve the people. If
they say they prefer the other candidate, then you
have to accept it in good faith. That is
sportsmanship.”

Agbaje arrived at his polling unit ─ 009 Douala,
Apapa ─ around 10am with his wife, but it took six
attempts for the card reader to recognise his
fingerprint.

Speaking on the experience, he said, “During the
last polls, the card reader worked like magic for
me. But today, it was at the sixth attempt that the
card worked.

“But that could be a problem in high density areas.
The process could drag on if the machines do not
work properly.”

Ambode seems more sincere than this man. Jimi wants to lead Lagos a very complex and multi ethnic state and he his segregating one ethnic group from the others. We haven’t voted and he is already showing his true colors. This man is for himself, he is not for Lagosians. He claims he wants to rule a state and he sends out OPC to destroy the state’s public property.

PDP shamelessly dividing people for elections sake. They tried with religion in the Presidential election, now they are using tribal division for the gubernatorial election.

When Ambode was going on door-to-door campaign, Jimi was busy analysing the Oba's statements.

Now, His native Ikorodu rejected him

His fellow residents at Apapa rejected him

The neighbours of his campaign office at Ilupeju rejected him

Yorubas rejected him

Igbos don't trust him

Lagosians don't want him.

Today, Jimi Agbaje has become a political liability.

This should be a lesson to us all. In our pursuit for success, we should be very mindful of the kind of actions we take. You can't aim to lead a united community by dividing them.

Jimi, PDP and the Oba jointly tore into shreds of whatever bound us together as Lagosians. May God grant Ambode wisdom to handle Lagos a right.
