Well nothing in life is one size fits all, and I don't know you but I think instead of trying to turn yourself into an extrovert you should use your introversion to your advantage, since you don't always engage in group conversations then you should listen, as in really listen, this would help make you more emphatic and build your understanding of how people think.

Extroverts talk too much so that they don't listen, that's why most of them end being very judgmental.
