1. The biggest office for the South South should go to Amaechi for his loyalty. Secretary to the Government of the Federation or Minister for Niger Delta affairs.
2. Babatunde Fashola- Minister for Petroleum. He will ensure swift passage of PIB, he has the clout to manage the oil and gas industry, the politics, investments and interface with IOCs, Fashola is vast, sound, learned and business minded.
3. Kayode Fayemi- Defense or External Affairs. He's vast in international relations and security related issues. We need young, smart guys in our strategic ministries.
4. Oby Ezekwesili - Education
5. Nuhu Ribadu - Police Affairs
6. Charles Soludo - Finance
7. Pat Utomi- Industries
Others should be filled on political considerations.
Like your list, what about the likes of Donald Duke, Nweke Jnr, Mamora...?

I THINK BUHARI ....should not appoint an petroleum minister ( since he was once a petrol minister ) , he should managed it himself ..that office should be assigned to the presidency by a team of accounting expert -a very dollar accounted for ..that's what OBJ did ..and he managed to built a reserve of 36 billion dollars ..
This makes very good sense, he has been petroleum minister in the time past as well as PTDF chairman and he pulled it out well!

Stop deceiving yourselves: most of the key positions would be given to northerners: Petroleaum, AGF, Works n housing, Defence, Finance etc... its not rocket science... that would be the first shocker!

Let me used this period to warn the so called general. He must look carefully before he make any choice. If he makes the wrong choice, he will even regret why he was made president.
Nigerians are very inpatient ppl. They were not patient enough and they key into the north/western coup to rout GEJ. Today, thesame Nigerians are glorifying GEJ to the higher heavens.
Baba Buhari, make the right choice or face our wrath. We don't need the following ppl in the corridors of power:
1.Tinubu
2Atiku
3Obasanjo
Thank you and may ur path be rough
....Let your above last statement be your portion in life. Amen..

Brother it goes beyond that. We need someone who will make policies whixh can improve tge current state of things. It's not just about giving and sanctioning ultimatums. How can you make policies in a field you know nothing about? Or you want him to delegate all d decision making process to a team of experts? As for the the instance you gave, you need a qualified building engineer to construct a long lasting building
Bro it doesn't. Thats the essence of going to a university(universal kowledge). Once you are ready to learn you can be properly briefed by the perm sec, directors as well as lower cadre staff and also outside experts(ngos, profs, academia etc) and come to educated conclusion of way forward. You don't need a phd in agric to know we need tractors and fertiliser or a physics professorship to realise we require anywhere from 10 to 100GW of generation/transmission(high tension wire) and distribution(transformers) capacity.

As i stated before you don't need to be an engineer or architect to build your house
what we need is integrity, honesty and a willingness to get things done
Thats all

There are more intricacies to these things than those.... Let's leave it in d middle as we clearly have different views on governance. Me will always advocate round pegs in round holes sha

Fashola and Abike are both frm Lagos State. If Buhari wud be scrapping d minister of state porfolio, it means many state won't be producing a minister while Lagos would be producing two ministers. This may not fly.
Everybody cannot be a minister. There are scores of boards and governing council to be constituted. Again, are these pple ready to declare dia assets as Buhari has indicated?

My own list:
Fashola. -- Foreign affairs
Rotimi Akerodulu SAN -- justice/
Attorney General

Fayemi Kayode-- Information
Dr Ogbonnaya Onu -- Interior
Soludo -- Finance
Pat Otomi---Economic Planning
Gov Ameachi-- Niger Delta Affairs

Dr oby Ezekwesili should be d SFG. She is intellectually capable to man dat important machinnery of govt.

Ameachi cannot be minister of pertoleum. Ameachi read English and has never worked in d oil industry all his life. Round peg in round hole is what would give us d desired change.

The likes of Ngige and others should be given appoiintment into boards and parastatals. Everbody must not be a minister.

The idea of Akerodulu is great, always thought Fash will make a good attorney general....he is quite a good lawyer/SAN you know!

Fashola has not been into active legal practice for about a decade now, he must have lost some steam by now. However, Fashola is brilliant and wud do better as foreign affairs minister. We need a fire brand like Fashola to man d ministry. With Fashola there, we wud once more regain our respect in d international community.

Nigerian economy is the best through GEJ and Iweala. You know as I know.
Under GEJ our economy grows to be the best in Africa so give more substance to your claim.

This was achieved based on the rebasing of our economy achievements of the past government and not GEJ achievements. Shaken! !!

we share same sentiment though, in my list (refer pg 0) I proposed B.R Fashola for foreign affairs.....he is a great orator, and that is key and vital skill for relationship management

Ok guys...remember our little game pre-May 29th.....not its post-May 29th and the Ministerial List Pt 1 is out, so lets check if any of our nominees made it. My score for now is 2/9.....Fashola and Ngige and made it out my nine suggestions. What about you....?.
Taking it further, we can suggest roles for them.......FAshola-Foreign Affairs and Ngige-Health
