Logic of this post is pathetically flawed. I wish I had enuf time to analyse & giv appropriate rebuttal but no time ryt now. However it was a yoruba man as a running mate with buhari in 2011 when d SW overwhelmingly went for goodluck (i neva did though, I saw his cluelessness & ineptitude as far back then). It still stands that goodluck isnt cut out as a leader. One thing about d SW is they love bein governed well. Awolowo has set a very dangerous precedent if im allowed to use that phrase for lack of a better term atm. You also think d yorubas r stupid dont u? With jonathan bein overtly clannish, ostracizin d SW in d overall scheme of his govt. counts for nothing with u right?....& no one shud come with d claptrap of d mulikat akande as speaker line cos shes equally as clueless as mr so & so head lizard.
Running a complex entity like nigeria is brazenly out of jonathans wheelhouse. Hes been completely out of his depth.
Finally, D SW has made its decision & its within its rights to do so, no apologies. I hope this matter will be allowed to rest once & for all....

Every yoruba would tell you that the reason why he or she voted out Jonathan was because of his non-performance. However this may look true it is a blatant lie. yorubas only supported buhari because of selfish reasons- they wanted power back at all cost. take a look back at 2003 when pdp cleared most southwest states. its on record that the afenifere instructed all the yorubas to vote back their son obasanjo into power saying ''omo wa ni''. ask yourself why afenifere did not lead a coalition against obasanjo in favour of buhari in 2003. its on record that obasanjo' s first term was woeful. why didn't they vote him out for non performance back then? in 2007 the yorubas having served two terms gave it to the Hausas reluctantly having tried the infamous third term agenda that did not work(an igbo man ken nnamani destroyed that evil agenda). now in 2011having left power for four years they started getting thirsty for power again. now tinubu and buhari tried to merge and lead a coalition against Jonathan which did not work at last minute. of course their son tunde bakare had to be on the ticket as vice for any coalition to work. it was even said that tinubu told bakare tinubu to resign which was what caused the coalition to flunk. now in 2015 having gotten a malleable god son osinbajo the yorubas through tinubu worked aganst Jonathan placing an osinbjo with buhari. hoping of course that they got the presidency one way or the other through osinbajo. fact is the only reason yorubas supported buhari was cos osinbajo was on the ticket. a purely selfish interest. if it had been an oshimole or an okorocha on the ticket buhari would have forgotten his presidential aspirations by now

Short and to the point! I think some of these losers are getting so stupid and the only problem with their level of dangerous stupidity is such that they are too stupid to know how stupid they really are!

I think OBJ is one president that could have done better but as 'bad' as his government may seem, the retardeenic GEJ makes OBJ look like Einstein! GEJ had a simple and easy record of governance to beat in at least 6 years, but he flunked so badly, only accursed losers in some parts of Nigeria will not be able to see it!

can u imagine. see this illiterate comparing kowa party to apc. do you know how much it takes to run for President?. was the kowa party woman really running for President or just seeking some post election position like sarah jubril? stop thinking through your anus.
Re: I by Sweetguy25: 8:21pm On Apr 18, 2015
The yoruba were mostly ambivalent concerning who they wanted to be president.
The truth is that, majority of yoruba people don't like Buhari. He has never won in the south west for the past 12 years. He is winning now due to the solid structure of the Apc in the south west.
There's no propaganda and yes, I'm a thorough bred Igbo boy.
The Yoruba don't make rash decisions like other majority tribes in the country.

Remembered APC lost Ekiti which is one of the son-of-the-soil's state and it is on record GEJ got average of 40% votes throughout SW states. What can you say about that? Your theory would have held water if Yorubas had block-voted GMB/PYO. That didn't happen. You want me to remind you of what happened in SS and SE where APC got less than 15% vote cast. You are not worry that SE and SS wanted to rig in GEJ by competing with 4 other regions where APC won.

well maybe what the op was trying to say was the fact that osinbajo was on the ticket tilted the yorubas towards buhari. at leastthey got something. not in national interest if you take a good look at it. rumors were that tinubu had rejected an oshiomole vice presidency. what do u think out that. not taking sides anyway
Re: I by T9ksy(m): 8:45pm On Apr 18, 2015

Bakare was on the ticket in 2011 and that didn't tilt Yoruba towards Buhari. See, politics is a game and it involves projections. It was obvious to everyone that SS and SE would never vote APC even if Ojukwu happened to be alive and made the Vice President of Buhari. Putting Oshiomole or any other person from SS or SE forward was like beating a dead horse.

@OP.

It is enough. We should all try to respect the tenets of democracy especially in regards to the notion of the majority having their way through free and fair elections. The Presidential election has produced winners and losers. Simply wish the winner well, for the sake of your country and move on. If you can.
