Oh...ok. Got it. I am sorry. Didn't mean to incite that feeling of a child in you.

Is not my intention by any way. You are just like a brother to me that's all---it's a good thing. I have a brother and he is by no way a little child. But, I still call him little brother.

That's all. I am sorry though. I will stop that if you do not appreciate it.

That's it. I'm totally against the housewife ideology or the complete dependence of a woman to a man. Every woman should have a source of income no matter how little. They shouldn't just sit their asses at home and expect men to provide everything at home. It only makes most men laud their ego on them.

Well said bruv!!

This is the 21st century and there is a paradigm shift from the usual era of the stay home "housewives".

While I don't have a problem with stay home housewives, especially if its by reason of what the husband wants.

What would be rather appalling is a woman who has chosen not to add significant value to her life and cannot make or suggest key ideas when her husband is in a fix.

It reminds me of a story I heard sometime ago, not sure of the authenticity of the story, but it sure holds water.

One night, President Obama and his Wife decided to do something different and go for a casual dinner at a restaurant not so luxurious.

When they were seated, the owner of the restaurant asked the President's secret service if he could speak to the first lady in private.

They obliged and Michelle had a convo with the owner. Following their convo, President Obama asked Michelle, "Why was he so interested in talking to you?"

She mentioned that in her teenage years, he had been madly in love with her. President Obama then said, "So if you had married him, you would now be the owner of this lovely restaurant," to which Michelle responded,

"No, if I had married him, he would now be the President"

Now that's a woman of value and substance. smiley

1. The Broken-hearted
~This category of ladies have had countless break-ups in the past so they just decide to stay away from relationships, most times out of fear or just to recuperate.

2. The Dreamers.
~These ones normally have fantasy-like goals regarding the kind of relationships they want to have and the kind of man they want.
You see them saying things like, I want my man tall, handsome, rich, intelligent, with a cute smile, funny, prayerful, good in bed, blah, blah, blah.
Their desires are mostly unrealistic and they remain single trying to find the man of their "dreams"

3. The Born Again
~These ones normally have the slogan "I am married to Jesus"
They are mostly virgins and have zero experience as pertaining relationships.
You find most of them in churches with awkward unattractive dressings hoping that a "brother" would look past all that and propose to them.

4. The Independent.
~These ones are single not because they choose to be but just because men are scared and intimidated by them.
Men generally want women who they can have some element of control over and who would want to depend on them so they chose not to approach these ones.
Asides that, most of the women in this category have a grandiose sense of worth coupled with pride and this is a turn-off for a lot of men.

5. Mummy's Pets
~These ones are always at the feet of their mums. They are normally very naïve about relationships and life as a whole.
They are always in their parents house, they don't go to social events, don't make friends easily and people hardly know that they even exist.

6. The Too Good To Be True.
~These ones are so beautiful and dress so attractively to the extent that guys desist from approaching them, not because they are intimidated by them, but just because the have this default mindset that a lady that looks and dresses like that must already be in a relationship.

7. The Feminists
~These are those women that believe in gender equality and uphold the believe that women should be treated equally with men
They normally have high standards for men and wave off men that don't meet their requirements.
Most men are irritated by their ideologies and just chose to stay away from them

8. The Fearful
~These ones just chose not to delve into any relationship because of fear.
Most of them have heard a lot of negative tales involving relationships and so are scared to engage in one.

9. Careers Seekers
~These ones have the principle that they have to have a source of income before getting into any relationship so they don't become liabilities to their partners.
Most of them prefer to finish school and get jobs before thinking of relationships.

10. Lesbians
~Yes, you read correctly.
These ones are just not attracted to men and since gay relationships hasn't been legalized in Nigeria, they just stay off relationships of any sort.

Disclaimer: This write-up was written and compiled by me.
The bolded is common to working class women. To marry such category of ladies is a real pain in the ass.

True dat. buh.....she also married to JayZ; one of the iconic men in music/rap industry and....loaded.

Mind you; I suspect, Bey knows how to dial down her femme fatale self at home with JayZ.

But, I also suspect JayZ can only deal with the likes of her feminists anyway.

LMAO at dial down her feminism. grin grin. Why would a wealthy woman get with a broke niggahuh JayZ is perfect for her and not all men (typically non-African) are threatened by feminism because it benefit them as well!

Okay, sorry for the smiley I used.
I'd rather have the topic the way it is. Having the words all bolded makes it seem like I am shouting for it to be seen.

I hope you understand the point I am driving at?
I don't mean u should bold everything, because i don't like it all bold.

Was just saying u should bold the headings like the way I did mine at first.

No problem!

There are men like that...albeit few and in between. And even so, I argue such men still would like a little break now and then from said fierce feminism

Are you now agreeing that you are the weaker sex?

I thought in feminism male and female are of both equal strength?
huh
I'd intended to silently observe proceedings on this thread, but let me just quickly chip this in:

Like someone up there - ist page to be precise - rightly pointed out, most of these ladies chanting the all too popular tones of feminism on NL and indeed other social media forums are just 'fronting'. Their lazy feminity brand ends here.

And yet again, some of them even lack a proper knowledge of what feminism is. They have no clear-cut ideologies, and can easily contradict themselves not knowing what they are supposed to do or say.

There are very few feminists in Nigeria who actually know what that brand is all about. And these sets of people often even command the respect of majority of the male folk because they don't argue/act blindly.

You can imagine what this our dear feminist just wrote up there now. The reply you gave, especially the bolded, is exactly what came into my mind. Well, I know the angle she's coming from though, it borders on sacarsm, but then... It's not right.
