manover:I'm not there oh. Just a prospective like you. Wanted to apply and I could have sworn I saw German as the language of tuition. Let me check again. |

The deadline for admission was 15th of April, Maybe you should try spring 2016 Williamso: |

manover:You've gotten me really confused. Just checked again, and Applied Computer Science in University of Göttingen is a German taught peogramme. Anyway, since the deadline was 15th,it should be too soon to expect a feedback. Some schools take 6 weeks for evaluation; some take even longer, so just chill. Wish you good luck. |

I'll use the Idea of the experiences I have seen others go through, mostly work visa related. If you manage to secure a better job before the RP expires, then have your new employer sponsor your work visa. And from your post, I am assuming you have a job that you consider not better - you can always convert the RP to a work visa with your current employer. One thing I know is I don't think you can renew the 18 months visa. It has to be converted into a work visa and if you can't manage to get one within that time period, I believe you'll have to exit the country, get a job and apply for re-entry with a (new) working visa application. I pray you get a better job before your extension expires. All the very best, bro. RP= Residential Permit work visa=German residence permit or an EU Blue Card Check this out too - http://www.make-it-in-germany.com/en/for-qualified-professionals/training-learning/study/studying-in-germany-and-after/residence-permits-for-postgraduates ohakskid: |

Plz I have am important question.. A friend of mine has a link DAT offers 3months Germany company work visa..he says the company will pick me up and Visa extension is immediately I resume work there.. He says its 400k without bta and flight.. He also said its a no interview stuff.. Plz how true is dis? I don't want to fall into scam. |
| Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 2 by DanIndia(m): 5:17am On Apr 28, 2015 |
You never can tell what's waiting for you at the other side. This can be true and also could be a way of smuggling people into Germany. In these present days, such acts are still rampant. You reach there, they pick you up, take your passport and you work until you pay up for whatever expenses they've shouldered + some interest - I'm not saying this is your case, I'm just letting you know how this actually goes down. If your friend says it's a no interview before visa acquisition and stuff, I'd totally disagree with him. As a first-timer to any EU country, you must go through an interview, in fact - it can be gruesome given that you're a Nigerian and are applying for a work permit as a skilled migrant *looking to not return*. But if he meant no interview in Germany for the extension, then I can so so agree. And the term "BTA" is actually a scam. You are not required to tender any amount of money to prove your eligibility to travel outside your home country. You just need to prove that you have enough to get you to your destination/hotel and can present a card (which may or may not have any balance in it). shevaamplified: |

DanIndia:@danindia,thank you but what kind of job must you have to convert the 18month to a work visa. |
| Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 2 by DanIndia(m): 7:45am On Apr 28, 2015 |
@ohaksid, try browse the link I included in my previous comment. I took out the information below, from it. "Even if you just get a job offer for a part-time employment , a residence permit can be granted to you. It is important that the expected salary secures all means of subsistence. The decision depends entirely on the local immigration authority" and "The German residence permit or EU Blue Card allowing you to take up employment is issued for a limited period first of all. If you continue to be employed and wish to have your permit extended, you will be able to do this without any problem. As early as two years after receiving your German or EU Blue Card residence permit, you can apply for a permanent residence permit – that is, a residence permit without a time limit. Again, the condition is that you still have employment in Germany." Source: http://www.make-it-in-germany.com/en/for-qualified-professionals/training-learning/study/studying-in-germany-and-after/residence-permits-for-postgraduates This could be any kind of job. As long as it is considered legal and skilled. ohakskid: |

shevaamplified:1. Germany embassy does not issue 3 months work visa, it's a long term visa 2. You need to attend an interview. 3. You need to apply and given employment by German company, it will contain the work details and salary. |

shevaamplified:Let me tell you what I'll tell anyone who's in a fix as yours: Most times, when something seems too good to be true, it actually is too good to be true. Be very careful in your dealings bro, because from what you posted, there are so many red flags. Personally, I wouldn't even give it a second thought if I were you. |

shevaamplified:It smells terribly like a scam already. In fact saying u won't do visa interview confirms its a scam. Even when u want to convert ur visa to resident permit in Germany u will still do a mini interview on ur source of finance wia u present ur documents. My guy b wise, its a scam scam. D company no get name ni, with d high no of unemployed German speakers in Germany y will a company come to Nigeria to recruit Sumone who might not even speak d language. My guy shine ur eye, if its not a scam tell ur friend to go ist and prove it |

AH I'm not sure about this as I do not know how the insiders at the Embassy operate. I wouldn't advise anyone to go into such as you could get blacklisted when caught doing so - bye bye shengen visas. shevaamplified: |

I have a few questions 1. When having your authentication done, do you go to the embassy with only one university application form or all the universities you are applying to? (For me: 5 universities, 3 are uni assist) 2. Must the applicant be eligible for the course in his home country or Germany would follow a different standard? My cousin cannot be admitted for law in Nigeria due to his Ssce bad literature grade, can German universities grant entry into their studienkolleg upon this? 3. What is your advice on accommodation for someone who has no family in Germany? |

OlaoChi:Let me answer your 1st question. You have to certify each set of document for the number of school your are apply to. Make sure you go to the embassy with all application form. My ogas in the house will answer the other question. |
