omonnakoda: 80% of the militants and soldiers exchanging bullet barely happens in land, the exchange bullets on the River and u have no place to hide. These militants know d waterways more than these soldiers. Routes soldiers will see as impassable 4 them, that's a simple route 4 dem They make use of 2 Passport 95 engine, while Nigerian army use single 75 engine 4 Gunboat, can u compare a car using 2 V6 engine to anoda 1 using 1 V4? |

Chest beating roach at it again! I know what will happen, you will put the ports on your heads alright and take with you to Biafra, but the problem is, the ports have stay on your heads as you don't have any ground to put them on. sauceny: 1 Like |

klevjey: Too bad but i'm Efik mumu. And if yoruba's get enough sense to know no militant especially mindless ones should threaten naija or our President, then marrying a Yoruba to be one with them won't be a bad idea. To the topic, do you have anything against militants that can kill themselves for your cause being killed? 1 Like |

henryblaze25: Mr.henry lets be frank to ourselves, what d ND need is infrastructural developments not peanuts to touts. pls consider the following and reexamine ur conscience. 1. the ND is d only region apart from lagos dat has connection to d ocean, y are our seaports not not working? how come we have neglected our seaports to chase shadows of amnesty peanuts? 2 . today lagos is far more developed than all nd states and one of d major contributors to that is their functional seaport, Hong Kong today has shipping as it's only source of foreign exchange and they are far richer dan nigeria, 3. How come major employ employees in d IOC's ( oil coy) are not Niger deltans? , and yet u want to control ur resources, how is dat possible? 4.How come all d headquarters of major oil companies are in Lagos instead of warri,ph,yenagoa e'tal? 5. y did we neglected increment of d 13% derivation and held onto amnesty? 6.what have our gov. been doing with d said 13% they have received so far since 2002? 7. y can't we fight for school, electrification, education, training ( technical skills) of our people especially in the host communities? we are fighting the wrong fight, we are losing respect because we sort after d effemirals. ITS OBVIOUS THAT D ND HAVE BEEN MISLED BY SELF SEEKING MISCREANTS . D TRU AMNESTY IS THE PROPER DEVELOPMENT AND REINTERGRATION OF D NIGER DELTA PEOPLE IN D SCHEME OF THING AS FAR AS PROJECT NIGERIA IS CONCERNED, that is what we should be fighting for and amnesty crap. FINALLY let me sound a clear warning/ advice, Gmb must not b mistaken for gej who could do d needfull by adressing d bokoharam menace on time, Buhari will handle with iron fist anyone who tries to undermine d nigerian territorial integrity in guise of militants or bokoharam. we must not copy d foolishness of bokoharam turned their region into a war zone, cos we will lose. I STAND FOR INTELLECTUAL DIALOGUE not ARMS STRUGGLE. ..... a$amaigho. 4 Likes 1 Share |

henryblaze25:Story First we remove all the civilians. When we stop food from entering and change the currency you will know we are not playing. Then the State will be cut off from the world nothing enters nothing leaves .We will happily stop the oil production for two years . No one is exchaging fire with anyone. We are closing the state down No electricity no banks no nothing. The only reason such thugs survive is they can hide in a civilian population. Once there is no civilian population we will see what they will eat. Starvation works every time trust me we have centuries of practice. We saw the videos of militants during their struggles slaughtering cows almost daily and cooking rice DO they grow rice in Bayelsa? It is other Ijaws like them that will volunteer to fight them. There will only be one outcome so let us stop the story 2 Likes |

jared007:It takes little effort to unleash the armed forces against sabotteur's thieves and economic terrorist and wipe them out . If those criminal's in the creek's were sincere in their struggle how come's the very issue's of deprievation under development and injustice in the Niger delta which they claim they were fighting for were never addressed the only change was that the said self centered criminal's were been paid to stop their criminal activitie's. This situation has to stop and the major problem's of the Niger delta addressed for the benefit of all. And this cannot be done through some scam amnesty program that is literally giving bribes to armed gangs and thieves not to cause trouble. |

The billionaire knows what good governance does to a community or people. Let the business men, the ultra-rich in Nigerdelta , who have physical presence ( home/business/family ) and have most of thier investment in the area be the architects of the next phase to rehabilitation of the Niger delta. NDDC and the allocations for the program probed. So I support the Billionaire Ayiri but rather than stop Amnesty , I suggest go to phase II where every Niger deltan ( or majority) feels the reward and compensation for all the destruction of their land . We need Fed govt & local business leaders to make transparent and tangible contributions BUT NOT Shun the Voice of the masses of NIGER DELTA !! The students sent overseas needs be acounted for and reminded they owe a debt to Niger delta. They need to be part of the rehab and development of Niger delta. So when people who have "their skin in the game " are involved, knowing their local business and carreers directly connect to the oil pipeline & industry then they will make sure no sabotage of industry because they see the dividends on the ground as --- best universities / first class hospitals/ roads/ hotels / free education for all Niger deltans up to first degree. In another decade theses educated young Nigerians will changes our lives in this country by maximizing profits of this natural resources. They will have a higher level of middle class , eradicate poverty all of which equals stability in any civil society. The issue here is that our greedy law-makers will not sacrifice their largesse /fat allowances to see poor man in Niger deltan move up the ladder to middle class. We have this sick mentality of master -servant in our country. It is time we empower the youths of Niger delta (and Northern Nigeria ) with a message that this administration is about youth empowerment and reconciliation, investing in their future (our future as a nation) so we can build a stronger nation. So my fellow nairalanders the struggle of Niger delta is a struggle of Nigeria. You see this same issue in Northern Nigeria Vis a Vis --recruits for Boko Haram. These are all issues steming from corrruption and neglect of the biggest part of our demographics ( the youths) .... 1 Like |
