[quote author=MrCcf post=33467431]I always tell people that Baba will work, but becos we are putting unrealistic hope on him, baba will crash our economy in the course of that. Nigerian economy is on a fragile positive transition, but any unnecessary pressure on this economy will crash it. Baba can never fulfill all his campaign promises, becos the economy cannot handle the pressure. I only ask for 24hrs power supply and haters can go to hell. We don't owe any hater any explanation or apology #baba will

We wouldnt have said anything about your baba and his success or otherwise if the money he will start spending from may 29 belongs to his father, pack jare...

Remember mr president-elect GMB nigerians voted you overwhelmingly to come come and do what past leaders couldn't do due to fear.
I knew when you were a military leader and your govt then was highly disciplined and free of corruption. You did implement govt policy before announcing it over electronic media or print media. Your govt then believed in action which made local and international communities to have high respect for the country.
You cannot be nervous on the demands of nigerians when you are sworn-in.
Let me help you my Gen.
Just embark on economic recovery by probing and recovering money stolen from the public fund by the politicians. Guilty ones must go to prisons. Use the recovered money to offset salaries owed by federal, states and local govt workers .
Ensure that immunity clause is removed from these categories of politicians : president and vice, governors and deputies and any other political post where immunity is applicable so that a sitting president or governor can be dragged to the court for corruption and be removed and sentenced while on seat.
Mr president sir, do not be jittery. Go on to do these because nigerians voted you to come and fight corruption that have dislocated the economy of nigeria that have had severe consequences on the citizens which have affected their lives negatively while many have gone due to hardship PDP created on nigerians. It shall never be well with jonathan and his corrupt regime

Yes...i for one knows mallam buhari cant solve all problems BUT...hes administration can set the pace for ending the collosal image of corruption in Nigeria starting with Civil Service Commission.....FIX elctricity and Fix our Refineries....Only those two on agenda alone is enough to vindicate Buhari /Osibanjo team.

To the two posters above me, I believe we are all nigerians and the success of our president and the nation should be our AIMS and not wishing the president mistakes cuz really, the ordinary nigerians gain nothing from a failed goverment
So true...I think its time we become pro-Nigeria rather than selfishly hanging on to our party allegiance. Nigeria first, party support next. Thus, we should earnestly wish d president-elect success so that we all benefit.

I share from your school of tot but unfortunately the masses having to sacrifice some painful treatment like you put it to achieve a turn around might be too much to bear. Credit has been crunched already in nigeria.

Buhari shouldn't demand the Masses to make sacrifice this time around, the sacrifice must be from the elite.

If the masses are to make sacrifice, it would be same old same old. Same sh*it different Toilet.

We voted Buhari on an Anti-corruption Manifesto. He Must live to his Calling.
I honestly cannot see how the rich/elite can bear the brunt of the painful sacrifices because they are either the owners of the business concerns where the poor slave their lives or they are into gainful employment or some fulfilling professional practice. Whereas Buhari made categorical reference to starting his war against corruption from the moment he receives the mantle of leadership, it must be emphasized that his war would be largely ineffective if the judicial system is not reformed and the anti-graft agencies strengthened and granted substantial autonomy. . . . and that takes some time! I wish him luck with his anti-corruption crusade, but I insist we must all readily accept to take the inconvenience of painful reforms else Nigeria may not fare any better than it is now when the next election cycle comes around.

Firstly, the salaries of government officials including elect and non elect is quite outrageous. However, a Nigeria senator shouldn't be earning over 2million dollars per annual while a senator of a developed nation earn over 100thousand dollars per annual. Diversify our economy and replace our crude oil with agricultural and mineral produce. Declare war on corruption and give us adequate power supply and our economy will be buoyant.

In addition, I foresee no change happening because Nigeria is governed by same people, same old corrupt politicians.
My thoughts as well...
