The question itself it's a mind game, once a guy ask she infer what he's hoping to hear and she tells you exactly that. She's got to exalt her self-worth and value. You got what you asked for. Simple.

I have this question to ask, why do girls always lie about their virginity
status before you start dating,

And as a good guy you try to maintain it for her, I.e not even trying to seduce her.

Then after like 3 months of dating, she cries into your arms only to tell you one story
of how a male friend raped her.

It hasnt happened to me once, but like 4 times now.
It pisses me off. but i always try to remain my cool.

Who asks such a question when you know it's either she lies about it or she tells you a touching story of how her grandfather raped her at a tender age

Lol, the things a person reads on Nairaland! I can imagine her doing a psychotic cry/laugh on your shoulder over the phony ràpe story.

Maybe it's common with Nigerian girls because I have never heard of such a thing where I'm from. If you're no longer a virgin then you're no longer a virgin. Don't see what the big deal is, really.
