millionaireman:

You peer into the future - unlike some of our Omoduas. But problem is that by 2019, if the current unitary government system and north's 19 states+Abuja political structure remain, even if Buhari leaves, another Buhari, or someone worse than Buhari from the north shall be president.

Your 2019 Bus stop shall not count.
you should be ashamed of urself , u lack intelligence didn't u think what happens in 2011 can still repeat itself in 2019, north alone canot vote itself the be president without the support frm other regions . Aboki go school , cow go school , amajiris go school , illiterate go school

I hope all is well with Nigeria o! Let it not be preparation for further embezzlement that they are laying the groundwork for now so that when Nigerians see nothing on ground they can claim that the country has been through 16yrs of damage!

I also hope there is nothing sinister that is going on or about to happen which informed the unusual magnanimity of the outgoing President! Naija must be better o! Realities were on ground when the #change mantra was at its peak. Don't start sounding a caveat now o, after taking advantage of the gullibility of a larger percentage of the voting public to arrogate power unto yourself...hmmm!

Baba and his APC crew do not need money to ensure the re-structuring of Nigeria along regional lines to allow for self-development! That is the most viable way out of the mess we're in and that is why they must not disregard the outcome of the National Conference. This sham of Federalism which is actually a unitary system of govt must be thrown out! Chineke! n'aka gi k'anyi no!

It's only a dunce who will expect change overnight...

Buhari got time to explain. .. those who have been embezzling said nothing to nobody. .. they only kept getting themselves better shoes they never had.

He should just ignore those who open their mouths and release words.... and focus on his agenda for change
so he too has come to embezzle and waste time, abi? If yes,let him just decline and leave Gej for us who has started something already. Well his own will be met with revolt and disgrace. I

Friend, I know you are unhappy with Buhari over what he did to GEJ and his administration. Don't worry, if he truly was instrumental to the insurgency problem will reap what he sowed. However, God will not destroy his government, for that would make Nigeria suffer more.

advance excuses.. When these people are mouthing security.. what do they actually mean.. Hope its not the boko haram that Nigerians who don't want to lie to themselves know about. That boko haram that is rounding up its operations? the one that is more political than religious? the boko haram that people up north protected until it got out of hand?

Pleazzzzzzzzz!!!! when they are talking about security as an agenda, they should be specific.

If it's the economy.. then you have a point.

I have a feeling that this coming government will just wobble through with the media aggressively dishing out propaganda and false strides. Their Online team will be handy to pounce on anyone who question their processes and results, with quick reference to past PDP administration as excuses for gross failure.

This is what I feel.

Politics of ranchor, confusion and division.
ddippset:
take your time baba, and deliver your promises. even those who did not vote for you are the first to say 'baba you must keep all your campaign promises', 'baba you must make 1 dollar equal to 1 naira'. when baba made those campaign promises, you still called his bluff and refused to vote for him. so what justification do you have to tell baba that he must keep his promises. afterall you voted for the man from otuoke. goodluck ebele jonathan made 100 campaign promises prior to the 2011 elections but did not fulfil 20% of them, so you all cut Baba Buhari some friggin slack!

Don't mind the old fool. Always giving flimsy excuses. That's a sign of a weakling
noblezone:
Very soon I will not bother to respond to this old man rantings!

So Buhari, which of the 16 years are you talking about?
is it the one from 1983 to 1999 when you and your fellow rascals in the army like IBB and Abacha took held us to ransom?

Excuse me please.

Thank you so much. This man is talking NONSENSE. So naija was eldorado before pdp ehn? We had uninterrupted power supply, flawless transportation system, food dey everywhere and e cheap, water dey run from every pipe wey dey, school free and it was world class, feeding free for all educational levels. naija passport was respected anywhere you go for this world cause our economy was competing with America and Dubai own abi.

There have been changes since pdp came to power even if it more could have been done whether baba gree or not. He should get on with the job and improve on what he met rather than giving excuses, excuses, excusessss.

Oya no attack me from you mobile oh wey come during pdp time shocked.

xandy84:
Am not a fan of PDP but PDP is not the worst thing that ever happen to Nigeria. PDP has produced performing and non performing local government chairmen, governors etc and same goes for other political parties. Saying PDP destroyed Nigeria in the last 16 years is nothing but pure nonsense. Irregular power supply is the other of the day before PDP, lack of portable water and poor road network has been in existence way back in Nigeria.
Buhari should concentrate in governance and let PDP be. Making references to PDP every opportunity he has is a recipe of failure.. He has made so many promises to win election and now that he has won, the enormity of how to deliver on his promises should be his major focus not what PDP do or did not..

nobody says he will be president of APC. its simple; he made campaign promises, you refused to believe his campaign promises, and voted somebody else. that person you voted lost, and then you open the gutter you call a mouth and say; baba you must keep your campaign promises! or you say 'baba one chance' what right do you have? when you were never interested in his campaign promises! dont worrry baba will be your president too, but for now just shut it; and dont jump to criticize him for every comment him makes. tanoid dougivilla.

really its so annoying that all those that are so quick to start typing baba once chance everywhere are the same ones who refused to vote for him. they now want to pretend as if they were ever genuinely interested in those CAMPAIGN PROMISES. those that voted for him are still waiting for him to start work to see what he will do.

It is too early for excuses. Anything short of 1naira to 1 dollar, stabilising world oil price, return of chibok girls, creation of 5m jobs, feeding of school children, payment of monthly 5000 to unemployed graduates is unacceptable.

Lol. Buhari the smooth criminal. Guess I'm begining to see why some people also think He is dumb. According to him,it took the pdp 16 years to destroy the nation's economy. Meaning that the economy was very strong under IBB and Abacha. See how clever by half this man is? Trying to exonerate the Abachas,IBB and all the military generals who ruined this country. Nigeria recorded better economic and technological advancement in the last 16 yrs, compared to any era of the military regimes. Thank God there are still people alive who can remember the past;not all of us are dumb/dullards. If not for the military years,Nigeria would have developed much faster and better. He needs to just keep quiet and stop talking cos He isn't making any sense at all.

Re: Don't Expect Change Overnight - Buhari Reiterates by Nobody: 1:24am On May 11, 2015
CHANGE IS
1: immediately cutting down salaries and allowances of Senators, Ministers, Governors, Reps etc by 80% in line with the realities we are facing

2: Enforce a Tax regime on the Wealthy that makes up at least 50% of their income.

3: Religious bodies who collect monies from citizens to operate commercial businesses must be taxed accordingly

4: BOI has been opening her gaff for the past 10 years about loans for farmers. Let us put that to work. Government assisted training and funding of mechanized agriculture

5: Recall heads of missions abroad who cannot measure or report performance withing 180 days into the year. They cannot protect the interest of Nigerians abroad neither have they done anything to improve our image or find out what the host country thinks about Nigeria.

6: Settlement Appointments must stop. They have failed all over Africa.

7: Crooks and former public office holders who have embezzled funds must be executed and their properties and business concerns seized.

I am no expert so Gen. muhhamadu Buhari. Better STFU and start making fundamental changes from the root of the problem. If you do that then you have laid a foundation for future survival of our generations.
