nutarious:This is one of my major grouses with theists especially the Nigerian ones. You guys like lying a lot!!!Make your point and leave.Don't come here and post lies and believe everyone here are just as foolish as you are. That young man in the photo was forced to penetrate that goat by theists I presume(You see why many call you guys 'Abrahamic perverts'?) because he tried to steal it and what is this trash you claimed about only humans masturbating?Other primates including gorillas, chimpanzees and bonobos also masturbate so shut it.By the way, evolutionarily, human male masturbation serves the purpose of getting rid of 'old' sperm when a man hasn't had sex for a while. So, that makes it a very normal human behaviour 3 Likes |

Jesus said: looking at a woman lustfully is adultery in action how then do you masturbate without having wrong fantasy? It is high level of sexual perversion that need not be encouraged. Those indulging in it should go for deliverance from the spirit of lust ..The moment the demon is cast out the urge will cease . |

frank317: it does matter to God! The reason is, anything that goes against the natural order of things, is a perversion, and thus a sin. Masturbation is an issue Christians cannot ignore. With little regard to gender, age, or even marital status, what is sometimes called solo-sex plunges many of us into the pit of guilt and the despondency of defeat. Take for instance, Babies of both sexes can discover how to give themselves genital pleasure long before their first birthday. We might conclude from this that masturbation is obviously “natural” and therefore morally neutral. A moment’s thought, however, blows this logic to shreds. It is equally “natural” for little children to lie, steal, slander, bash each other and break any commandment they have the strength to break. If morality were decided on the basis of what humans do the moment they gain the ability to do it, life would be horrific. Morality is about choosing what is right above our natural inclinations. First of all, sex was created by God for procreative purposes, physical enjoyment, and the demonstration of intimacy between a husband and a wife. In this context, the sexual act is intended to occur in a healthy marriage relationship between husband and wife in purity and holiness. In contrast to this, masturbation is the self-stimulation to the point of sexual release without the gifting of a spouse. Thus, masturbation is a denial of the sexual design for couples. What of the principle of purity that is obviously true. Does masturbation fall under the category of purity? We can say this for sure. Since masturbation involves sexual fantasies and/or pornography, then it is certainly not pure and is very sinful. The Bible clearly teaches that our minds are as important to God as our bodies are and that we are to remain pure in both. Masturbation is centered on Lust, a product of the abundance of your thoughts. Thus, In Matt. 5:27-28, Jesus said that thinking lustful thoughts is sinful. Therefore, masturbation involving sexual fantasies is undoubtedly sinful. But this brings up the issue of a spouse masturbating while thinking of his/her spouse. Is it sinful? Again, since the Bible does not declare it sinful, can we? Let's say that a wife is incapacitated by an accident and is in the hospital for an extended period of time. Is it alright for the husband to masturbate if he thinks only of his wife in order to relieve sexual tension? Again, without a specific declaration of Scripture, it is difficult to pronounce it as sinful, as one may think. But On the one hand, his body is not his own, and it is for his wife; and he is not to be mastered by anything ( 1 Cor. 6:12). But on the other hand, she is not available. Would his masturbation be sinful should he commit it if he only thought of his wife? Well, like we said, his body is not his alone, and so he can not satisfy himself alone. Furthermore, what if a person masturbates in order to reduce the sexual urge in an attempt to not commit fornication? Certainly, actual fornication would be a sin, and masturbation would be preferable in this instance. But does this mean that the person is being mastered by the flesh? If so, then that would be wrong. But, does it mean then that a self-release of sexual tension is then acceptable if it is to avoid fornication? Again, this is a lame excuse because the bible, in Galatians 5 vs 19, talked about lasciviousness, which is a strong desire to have sex upon sex, a habit that a believer shouldnt have. Let's look at some verses that speak of sexual morality. *. 1 Cor. 6:18, "Flee immorality. Every other sin that a man commits is outside the body, but the immoral man sins against his own body." *.The Greek word for "immorality" isporneia which means illicit sexual intercourse, i.e., fornication, homosexuality, lesbianism, bestiality, etc. The English word "pornography" is derived from this Greek word. *. Eph. 5:3, "But do not let immorality or any impurity or greed even be named among you, as is proper among saints." *.Again, the word for "immorality" isporneia. *. Col. 3:5, "Therefore consider the members of your earthly body as dead to immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed, which amounts to idolatry." *.Evil desire? *. 1 Thess. 4:2-5, "For you know what commandments we gave you by the authority of the Lord Jesus. For this is the will of God, your sanctification; that is, that you abstain from sexual immorality; that each of you know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in lustful passion, like the Gentiles who do not know God." Masturbation like i said is based on lust, hence, is an immoral act which in turn is wrong and sinful before God!. 2 Likes |

On the other hand, everyday in the news we read of deranged crackpots blowing up innocent people because they have been promised a sin party with virgins I'm heaven. Appleyard: What about women who profess an intimate love for Jesus, and often fall into an ecstatic trance while praying and calling the name of Jesus.? No lusts involved, or is holy lust an exception? Let me use this opportunity to ask whether anyone else sees the striking parallels between Christian prayers and the act of self-service? Seriously. Is prayer not a form of self-service? Same mindset is involved. In both cases, in privacy, a person seeks deep intimate mingling with an imaginary, adored heavenly body, be it Jesus, God, Angel Gabriel, Nkiru Sylvanus , Genevieve Nnaji or Rihanna. In both cases, soft and loud praises are said. It often starts slowly at first, and then the tempo gradually increases. In both cases, fists are clenched, feet may stamped, superlative words are yelled, undying love and loyalty are professed. And , of course, in both cases, the imagined intimate encounter reaches a climax when the practioner yells out " Hallelujah ", then sighs a deep breath, wipes the face with handkerchief, and then goes about the daily business. Can anyone spot the difference? 4 Likes |

Bonapart: Why am I not surprised... This is the kind of thing your bible teaches... After all you worship a psychotic, egoistic, God who suffers from lack of self esteem and needs human to rub his deflated ego by worshiping and praising him. Your God is a pervert who spend so much energy getting hot mad at a man massaging his diccck but does nothing at the injustice his so called children are going through in the hand of his alter ego. plaetton: Sorry I am late, but let me explain to you what you've observed. My explanation is going to be largely in the flesh. Don't say una don come again. It would make more sense to you if I talk on the flesh level because you and I can both understand it Here we go: Quite a number of us Christians are fixated on laws. Its a carry over from the Jewish roots of our beliefs The laws tend to largely say "do not" regarding tangible things, then speaks of woes to come after you do break them Whereas it is easy to say do-not self service, it is quite difficult to say do not not selfless service Yes, we do have threads that encourage selfless service, but they are not as attractive as the "do-not" threads the only ones that we sometimes collapse into the selfless service definitions and are fairly attractive also follow the same pattern 1) for example, do-not rob God in tithes payment (2) do-not insult a MOG Once again, these ones tend to speak of woes if you fail to abide with the terms, and blessings if you do abide with them Hope you now understand were we are coming from. Kind regards 1 Like |

esere826: Yes, I do. Thanks. I guess Christians seem to ignore one of the prime directives of Jesus, where he said: " point not at the spec in another's eye while ignoring the log in thine own eyes ". It's always easier to see what others are doing wrong rather than ponder whether you are doing right. 1 Like |

Just because you're in the medical field does not make your actions "selfless service " for crying out loud you get a pay check and you were trained to offer this service of care to your clients. Going by your explanation of selfless service There are very many non belivers in that line of work who actually give excellent care to their patients because it's the right thing to do not because they are servants to a kingdom. As a matter of fact you are self servicing, at the end of the day your own personal gain is your main quest.. Is it not!?
