I missed it the first time but when Janus was talking with Lyrna in d flashback dat he told her to save Vaelin and not Malchius. (another surprise, book 1 led us to believe it was part of Janus plan all along) she said that his plan ended in utter defeat and he replied along d lines that d plan was for d invasion to fail so dat her and vaelin would rebuild d realm.

Another was wen she was talking with the shield, he said Janus glorious plan was a failure, her mental thought was that was the point.

frentis storyline was boring and I skipped most of it d first tym but a second read made it worth it, it was a great standalone story but d fact it didn't follow d main story esp at d beginning hurt it. It revealed a lot of gems, master grealin as aspect of the 7th order and d love story was better.

their are easier ways of passing the kingdom lyrna and Al sorna.
Except the author is using to prolong the book
Why the dahrena hate ? I though she was alright.
What do you think happened at the ending of the book ?
No mention of al sorna love interest in the blood song at all

That's why I think there is another layer to his plan that we have not seen. The plan was to secure his legacy when he dies and make sure d realm cant revolt wen he dies. He is d first king of d unified realm.
Dahrena comes off as a Mary sue, d perfect girl and she is boring also I prefer Vaelin and Lyrna. So I'm hoping dahrena dies .

Sherin is apparently on a bus, Vaelin said last he checked she was happy and with someone else.
As for d end im not sure, it happened out of the left field. Some boy apparently burned her again probably with the dark.

Hey, just had to share this.. Do u like fantasy? Enjoyed the Song of Ice and Fire series? Have a soft spot for Tolkien? Or did u grow your literary milk teeth on Sword of Shannara and Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time books? Well, guess what? The good ol' days are back again!
The name is The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson (Stormlight Archive bk 1). Seriously, this is probably the best novel of its genre i've ever read. So...now u know. Oya, find it and read and tell others the good news!

There are a few things I still didn't get like when Renarin went to help Adolin in the duel. I thought pattern was behind the screeching voice as he was sent to distract the other duelist facing Ren.

I don't get the very end too. Let me not do too much spoilers for you

I feel the book 3 would be better now that Kaladin has other radiant team mates and the Voidbringers are back. Who exactly is Wit please?

Let me start by saying i'm underwhelmed by the current generation of nigerian writers. That's not because they're not good, far from it, but because they don't generally write mind-bending, genre defining, original stuff. You can see them mostly following the well trodden paths of Achebe, Soyinka, Emecheta, Alkali and the other greats. This is not neccessarily a bad thing,we've carved our own niche in the literary world, we just don't branch out very often.
So when i saw a nigerian book on the list of best science fiction books of 2014 i had to do a double check. Yes, aliens in lagos, i was not dreaming, wonderful! The book is refreshingly different and original. One of those cannot-put-down books; i can't hype it enough. Expecting great things from this author now cos i'm officially a fan. Even went to buy the book on amazon which is a rarity for me What can i say, she's "one of our own" and needs all the support she can get.
