What is really going on here? Why are emotions flaring up over a pageant that wouldn't add any iota of substance to our lives at the end of the day?

The organisers of this event put it up to encourage sportsmanship/fun and so that we could all do something different as against the norm. The cash price also quite commendable to increase participation and make the competition more interesting.

Its a little bit immature that some of us would rather instigate others against a particular contestant just to gain votes.
Have we lost our sense of dignity and sportsmanship? Are we so quick to forget the words of the outgoing president. "...No blood is worth shedding for my ambitions".

We are not even talking of a cash price good enough to buy a Blackberry Classic and yet some would rather insinuate that the pageant is being rigged and that certain contestants are favoured.

I think the above assertion is rather ridiculous. Are we going to rig the pageant when people would actually decide by a voting process? Or rig so that a few people can share a whooping and magnanimous sum of N10,000 (No disrespect to the organisers). Can someone please school me on what this, cos I don't quite get it.

If you have a problem with the process, there is a right channel to vent. I was banned twice on the same post during this campaign and yet I didn't come on here to make a mountain out of nothing.

Forward your displeasure, petitions, and all sorts through the right medium. Don't come online and create a hullabaloo just to paint someone else in a bad light.
