Justfollowit:Lol. I think I've humoured you enough. The man of your dreams isn't fit to untie the lace of my sandals. I'll leave it at that. The only pill in my possession is one to cure of your desperate spit-spraying. |

Beface: If you can accept that it is talking a woman taking a man's surname only to signify that she is married...why can't you accept that being married back in the days was a mean to quality of life for married women? Taking the surname was the only way to show that the woman is wife to the man. It was about status and class which is the same thing the bible speaks of! |

A quick question. Dropping your dad's name and taking your husband's name after marriage, is it our culture? I don't think so. Its just one of those things everyone is doing because everyone has been doing it, so if some people decide to hyphenate both names or not adopt the hubby's name, why are we bothered? (Change is constant anyway.) especially when both parties agree to it. Y'all should stop making marriage seem like rocket science. |

MrsChima:are you a feminist. That was all i asked. The sermon was unnecessary and boring. Meanwhile, NOT taking surname doesn't prove ANYTHING either. So . . . Your point is . . . Pointless, i guess. |

boynigeria: Stop with all that mysognistic _crap! I don't know what kind of women you have been with but it wasn't me! I have no issues with women paying for food and drinks on dates. I have no issues with women supporting outside the home. I encouraged it but will you let your pride turn you into a whining boy if women were to do what you said above? 3 Likes 1 Share |

mostly when their father is a very wealthy and popular man, if her dad is poor and she gets married to a man frm a wealthy family like babangida's family she will even add general to her surname |

Timbuktou: God! Are you that lame? Screws and bolts= a being who is so worthless to get an opposite sex created out of flesh. Regardless, I don't pay to ever be of value to a boy-man. |

mmsen: Feminism is about women have the right to choose to do what they want in life. It is not focusing on surname and that other shit people ranting about. That's the difference. I suggest you don't argue for the sake of it as well. |
Re: New Craze In Town- Ladies Retaining Their Fathers Name After Marriage by Nobody: 7:15pm On May 12, 2015 |
Beface: My use of the verb 'could' expresses a possibility. And if you were smart enough, yo would know that it is the unfortunate reality. Futhermore, Dispose is a relative word. Married women can be disposed yet be married. |

Justfollowit: Screws and bolts=robot. A robot would have more value than you who is supposedly made of flesh. You're a disgrace and a waste of space. You don't even have enough value to be a cumbucket. This man is of utmost value. Then again, what would a crab know about value?! Such a sad existence. |

MrsChima: But at least I brought the bride price and it was publicly seen that I brought, which they refuse, reasons best known to them No reason for her to remain her father's alongside mine, name unless reason best known to me |
Re: New Craze In Town- Ladies Retaining Their Fathers Name After Marriage by mmsen: 7:21pm On May 12, 2015 |
MrsChima: Where did I say that was all feminism was about? Your reading comprehension skills are atrocious if that is what you took from my comment. The question was about surnames. The reason why feminists argue for double-barrelled names is because they believe that women should not be forced to lose their own identity - that is a choice that should be available to married women. If you re-read what I wrote you will see how silly you have been. |

Timbuktou: It is official, you are no longer a boy-man. YOU ARE A SUBHUMAN. Congratulations! You should be happy. If you were intelligent, you would know that robots parts and its software can be replaced yet stay true to its original BUT a piece of a man can never be. Congratulations once again , You have succeeded in winning the Dum.best SUBhuman of the century. 5 Likes |

parkeration: bruhahahahahaha. i really dont give a damn though in fact, she can retain her fathers name and refuse to include mine sef. i dont care. i could be concerned if her reasons for keeping it is hinged on the new wave of "feminism/equality" thinking. then i would ask her to logically explain her rationale to me but it would still unhappily accept her choice. it is her name after all. |
