I think Suarez was substituted to weaken us and reduce the potency of our strike-force. Same with the introduction of a double pivot. Enrique did these two things to alter our game and save his brother's (Guardiola) job and reputation. We were lucky it didn't backfire. This was more like a high-level form of match-fixing. This is my personal opinion though; I might be wrong afterall

Not read of that.. If at all, such a source is dubious. Messi is currently the hghest earner in world football in terms of gross earnings from endorsements.

In all, what we have are play out factors. So many what ifs, which equals to nuffin real and concrete. Nobody knws for sure whether Neymar would turn out good or not.

My only concern is the on pitch effect of having a Messi-Neymar on the same reason end of an attacking move. Both players enjoy being the focal point, how will one bend for the other? Not that alone, we have the country rivalry; Brazil/Argentina, which opens a recourse to the Pele/Maradona comparison since both stars bear liking semblance to the old familiar foes.

Both players are good no doubt but having two captains on the same boat has been proven to lead to disaster time and again.

If country rivalry was an issue, Dani Alves would not be so supportive of Messi; and the partnership between Maradona and Careca would not have worked. Footballers as professionals know the difference between playing for club and country. This is a quote of what Neymar said a while back:

Neymar's father said his son would derive a greater pleasure playing with Messi for a day than playing with Cristiano for a whole season. What does that imprint in people's mind? I guess it means he reveres the Argentine demi-god and as such would be loyal to the core in order to learn a lot from him.
