Lacazette is a poacher, just like Falcao. The need is striker who can hold up play, beat a man, and also have good eye for killer passes aimed at the goal scoring flank men. The signing of Memphis Depay and Angel di Maria will see a full switch to the proper system. I see no need bringing a player who may not thrive in the intended primary system; and if it's a plan B thingy then we have Javier Hernandez already. Louis van Gaal's emphasis should be on the players who'll fit into the system he has in mind, and if tactics of recent weeks are anything to go by, he's going to settle on a 4-3-3 formation next campaign.

Den ur man is benz..! Players of such qualities u mentioned are scarce in the market and are even few in the game. If I am correct aguero(club wont sell to ManU),suarez(club wont sell),lewadoski(though he didnt impress much this season when compared to previous season however club maybe tempted to sell depending on which direction dey choose to go next season),benz(Mr miss chances but also scores a couple of dem too and club could want to cash in with the gist of aguero going the order way),Muller(I seriously doubt dey will sell this one),kane(doubt club will sell howver It is worth a try @ 25mil the most),kevin mirallas(do not think is a manU quality),and benteke(not so sure he will fit well though).

The number one question here is 'where will Rooney play next season?' If CF, then no need finding a top CF since he must play. So we either recall Chicha or look for Benteke or Ings.

benz is de man, no doubt, i'll love to see him put on the no.9 red shirt. Benz has a good scoring record, he's a clinical striker , just that if you are on the same team with ronaldo or messi , you won't score more than them, tevez, rooney, alan smith, hiquain, berbatov, saha, are sum of d players dat suffered on the hands of ronaldo's goal scoring abilties, to me benz is better than every current bpl striker. His link up players, and technical abilities are surperb, he's just like a wayne rooney at 24. He understands his wide men very well, i even doubt madrid will let him go.!

Comparing Carroll and Kane with regards to their respective rookie form,
.... Carroll was just nodding to score due to his height
..... Kane was killing defenders one on one...... The guy is good no doubt

Carroll wasn't just "nodding" to score, he was a menace - unleashing thunderbolts from outside the area too, good hold up play with back to goal, 90% fit, pace, agility you name it. his drawback was not being much of a dribbler but the English are not known to bother with such skill.

ultimately he proved to be a fluke when he 'moved up'. we can look back & say perhaps injuries didn't help his cause, or he made the 'step up' too early, or he made the wrong choice but that's past tense.

if you are advising LvG to pay £45m for Kane today, what happens IF he is another Carroll? this is not the type of fee you pay for a "prospect" & I don't care if he scored 1000 goals

Rooney can play better as the CF in the 4-3-3 with flying wingers as long as the front three interchanges with relative ease.

however, he has to buckle up. if LvG can strip PK duties from RvP & Rooney, he may just be more ruthless from next season.

I saw a clip of him recently for about 75mins & I have the same impression. it may be a small sample but his main style was on the shoulder of the last defender & sneaking in behind. I'm not saying its an easy skill but ...

We have already played four matches without him this season and we only won one of them- Everton. Three EPL and one FA cut- I think Cambridge at away, which was a horrible performance.

Rooney also did not play the second half of our last match.

with Carrick in the team, we would have had 10 wins straight. his absence upset the balance & caused a lot of reshuffle in other stable positions.

that's the reason we need one DM & one CM this summer.

The ugly side of competition out weighs the good side. Ask Nani and Tevez. Even our strikers now, they are playing with fear and nervousness knowing very good alternative are in the team.

If we didnt buy Berbatov, Tevez would have settled in United. Nani usually played well when Valencia was injured. The coming of Young was the peak of pressure for Nani. He like to be free to take risks, make mistakes and try again doing the unthinkable tricks.

Nainggolan would make a decent dm.

no bro, we underrate them way too much. I've seen sum people saying stuffs, like no current united player can get into the chelsea bayern or real madrid first team, its just rubbish.
