I always had that nagging feeling he wud return to Spain someday after Casillas's burial(the most ridiculously poor goalkeeper still to maintain his position in a top club after being close to a liability for many seasons now).I just didn't think it wud come so soon esp considering we just got champs league football and will even add more quality to the team this summer. The way he has acted is not cool at all angry
his agent is actually playing pawn with respect to Falcao deal. I don't think we should allow ourselves held by the balls, if Falcao doesn't fit LvG's plans he should be released - simple as fvck.
if de Gea wants to move then we must must make the best out of the deal - perhaps a swap.

Akindanidani. .. it is well, the only player who saved your season is about to jump ship..... long may the dark days reign at old Trafford cool
Just thinking, who are you going to get now?
Mark Schwarzer is available, I heard.
We rejected Fabregas, he didn't snub us.... get that right
Trophyless team! grin

Swap with who? Casillas won't be bad for United
old Victor Valdes and old Ika Casillas.... what a combo grin
I hope you sign Falcow permanently..... grin

Na lie,
His just using is new superstardom for a max contract.
I think players are watching Madrid's treatment of Gareth Bale, iker and any player not named ronaldo no player in his right mind would want to join that show.
If it was Barca after de gea I go dey fear.
He will sign with us.
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by SailorXY:
Sir Matts Busby Award this season - I will nominate De Gea... Ashley Young is not so far away tho.
Ronaldo is the only player to win thrice in a row. de Gea won it last season.

Goal of the Season - tough call between di Maria's lob against Leicester & Mata's bicycle against Liverpool. apart from the finishes, both had excellent build-ups

Best Young Player - I will pick Pereira slightly ahead of the U21 captain cuz he's been promoted to the senior ranks this season.

meanwhile di Maria said;
“I’m not happy with my first year in England,” he said.
“I moved here from Real to win titles and this season has been very bad for me. I’m frustrated because I want to do better.

“The fans in England have not seen the real Di Maria. I know I can offer a better level. This year was not good enough. “Adapting to English football is not easy. People told me the first year for a foreigner here is hard. And that’s true. “My challenge is not for one year, but to
become part of the history of Manchester United.

“The stadium is unique, the fans sensational – it is a fantastic club. My only frustration is that we haven’t offered the fans our best face every week. My dream at
United is still to win the Premier League and Champions League.”

Oh sure! U rejected him. Now he has the Capital one Cup medal and he's gon be a crowned PL champion in less dan 11 months after more dan 11 yrs of trying. He must be thanking his stars right now for Wenger being smart enough for rejecting him from coming to ur complete and utter joke of a club.

UNITED ARE BACK IN THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

It's now mathematically certain - Manchester United will compete in the UEFA Champions League in 2015/16.

The Reds, who missed out on qualifying for Europe's premier competition last season, were guaranteed to finish in at least fourth spot in the Barclays Premier League when fifth-placed Liverpool lost at home to Crystal Palace on Saturday evening. The Eagles, with former United winger Wilfried Zaha among the scorers, beat Brendan Rodgers' side 3-1 in Steven Gerrard's final home match as captain.

Louis van Gaal’s men still have an opportunity to finish higher in the table, but need other results going the right way. A victory over third-placed Arsenal on Sunday would put United a point ahead of the Gunners, but Arsene Wenger’s men crucially have a game in hand, at home to Sunderland on Wednesday, ensuring their destiny remains in their own hands. Second-placed Manchester City are currently five points ahead of the Reds with two games to go – the Blues travel to Swansea on Sunday lunchtime, before finishing with a home game against Southampton.

If United finish the campaign in fourth, the Reds will need to get through a two-legged qualifying play-off to be in the hat for the group stage. The draw for the play-off takes place on Friday 7 August with the first leg to be played on 18/19 August and the second leg scheduled for 25/26 August.

The play-off round will be divided into two sections with a ‘Champions Route’ and a ‘League Route’. The first section features clubs who have won the domestic league in some of Europe’s lesser-known nations, while the second section, which United will be in, involves clubs that finish second, third or fourth in the more prominent European leagues. A seeding system, based on the UEFA Club Coefficient, should work in the Reds' favour and mean United are seeded; indeed van Gaal's team are likely to be the highest-ranked side in the play-off round and should therefore avoid some more well-known opposition.

If United progress to the group stage proper, the draw for which takes place on 27 August, then the Reds will be in seeding pot two. UEFA have, however, made changes to the group stage seeding system for the 2015/16 campaign with the champions of the seven biggest leagues in Europe (England, Spain, Germany, Italy, Portugal, France and Russia) now being named as top seeds along with this year’s Champions League winners (Barcelona or Juventus). That means the Reds could face the likes of Barcelona or Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Benfica or Porto, PSG or Lyon and Zenit Saint Petersburg. Of course, two English clubs cannot together at the group stage so United would avoid playing Chelsea.

If the Champions League winners are also their domestic league winners (Juventus have already won Serie A, while Barcelona are on course to triumph in La Liga), then the champions of the eighth-ranked country, the Netherlands, would be named as top seeds. If that happens, Memphis Depay’s soon-to-be former club PSV Eindhoven would be in pot one.

The final teams in each group of four will come from the third and fourth pots which will feature sides who have made it through the earlier qualifying process.

Dnt get me wrong.Am not saying Jones is a no-gooder.Just saying that having followed the ones I mentioned,I personally feel they are better esp Varane amd Laporte.Jones is as not as good as Varane in my opinion and there's nothing wrong with holding an opinion.I like Jones bt no way is he the Rio and Vidic replacement we all thought they wud be.Weneva i watch Laporte and Varane,I see that calmness and Maturity in their defending and also they are good anticipators of the ball.Jones is a like a senseless bully that rushes into every tackle and play without thinking of d consequences and if d backline is open or not.Sometimes he is a liability in defence. That's where Laporte and Varane get d edge over him. This is very important for a defender and sometimes Jones is like a headless kind of Puyol.Bro,everything doesn't start and end wid Man united .I knw dis is a Man united blog and nepotism is likely to b d case bt again its only in a Man United blog wud u hear dt Phil Jones is better dan Rafael Varane and its absolute bollocks cos he is not.Sometimes u av to adopt neutrality. Ask oda fans of oda clubs who are well versed in football or evn conduct a neutral opinion poll and u wud av ur answer.Besides wat use is a car dt spends 70% of d time parked in d garage?Jones barely stays fit for 2 months...dts a deal breaker too for me.
For now , u cant compare Jones and Varane. I think Varane is better now. Jones needs sbd like Ramos, Silva or Vidic-like to play with in defense dat will caution him. Smtimes he doesn't read d game v well. He has d potential . With d right d right partner he will do better.

DDG is not going anywhere ,I believe he's either looking for an improved deal(maybe waiting for us to qualify for UCL which we hv done) or his agent is playing d game of cards with us as regards to d Failcow deal as d player wants to remain at OT ...

There r bцttloads of gks to pick from ,begovic ,handanovic ,Hugo lloris ,etc

The Falcao thing Bro is certainly not true.Mendes also said 2 months ago that he thinks Falacao wud stay.Falcao has not signed d new offer for reasons best known to him.It may be cos of his girlfriend who lives in Spain and also because he misses his home where he wud play for a similarly top club and earn super wages for all we know. It's got nothing to do wid Falcao or Jorge Mendes.De Gea is mature enough to decide what he wants and d silence is frustrating.I place myself in his shoes. If I had d chance to return to mu State and make more or same money I make in Lagos..Wat wud I be doing in Lag?I jst feel dts d reason he wants to assess his options smiley

the "agreement" between de Gea & Madrid is only written on Spanish tabloids. Madrid hasn't made any offer.

Wonder if RVP isn't fit.Playing Falcao upfront is literally playing 10 vs 11.He contributes absolutely nothing. He is a waste of our subs.I wud rada Di Maria plays there.Mtchewww
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Leyqute(m): 3:17pm On May 17, 2015
Even Wilson sef. Januzaj has been a bench warmer for months. I wonder if he'll play today.

LvG really isn't prone to favoritism.

Enough pace and pawa in the starting lineup tho
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by SailorXY: 3:26pm On May 17, 2015
^^^van Persie or Wilson could have started jare. Falcao has had enough chances this season as far as I'm concerned.

we hope. I was expecting Wilson & Januzaj to play the last two games tbh
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by MrTA(m): 3:48pm On May 17, 2015
I would have preferred Wilson to start. A bit more raw pace to stretch Arsenal.

Just dont like the make up of the squad especially with injuries and I really think LvG hasnt done too well with the balance of the squad considering what he has spent.
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Leyqute(m): 3:51pm On May 17, 2015
Falcao has had less goals/game than Van Persie. LvG still hopes to clinch 3rd place that's why he's not starting Jzj n Wilson now

I have said before, there is NO REASON why Falcao should be starting ahead of Wilson, RVP.
He has been the worst player in this squad by a mile
