you're not likely to qualify to be a PMP, you can consider a CAPM.

You seem to be heavy on certifications, I hope you are able to retain all the knowledge associated with them bro.

Try upgrading ur skills at Applied Engineering Technology Initiative Ltd. they are in lagos or checkout www.excelautomation.com in India.
The nigeria Industry is fast becoming skill oriented other than theoretical based, its good to note that contractors are looking for those who can do the job rather than those that will learn on the job.

project management certificate is not that useful in the field of EE especially when you do not have experience in management. it will preferably advice you start thinking of how to improve your skill in EE and telecommunication in addition you reading your GMAT 2007-2009 effectively.

i will recommend Applied Engineering Technology Initiative Ltd. they are in lagos, www.irovester.com for practical instrumentation training or checkout www.excelautomation.com in India.

however, if you have started taking up a leadership position later in your career, you can go for your project management certification or ur coy will send you to attend one.

I'm a polytechnic graduate currently serving. I want to get certification to boost my cv. so I need advice which is better for a fresh graduate between HSE certification and ISO certification and how to go about it

HSE CERTIFICATE IS A NECESSITY FOR EVERY GRADUATE, WHAT U SHOULD BE TALKING ABOUT IS WHERE TO GET A GOOD HANDS ON PRACTICAL TRAINING IN ADDITION TO YOUR HSE CERTIFICATE.

i will recommend Applied Engineering Technology Initiative Ltd. they are in lagos, www.irovester.com for practical instrumentation training -PORT HARCOURT or checkout www.excelautomation.com in India.

Reading all this posts has currently made me scared and angry at the way this country's education system is in ruins and shambles. Currently in my 4th year studying EE,reading all your comments has made me realise all we actually do in skool is childs play. Makes me wonder what the future holds for a clueless aspiring EE engr like me. So help me God.

you can hardly see a good automation and control training firm in this country. The only one I have ever heard of is Applied Engineering Technology Initiative Ltd. They are located at Bode thomas street Surulere. I don't know how good they are though but you know we Nigerians and our mediocrity in terms of technical education. If you are well loaded with cash, then google SMECLabs. An automation firm in India. They are one of the best and somehow affordable.

aeti is not cheap around 250,000 as at 2014, although there is a discount for corpers i.e corpers get to pay 190,000.
students of aeti are mainly workers being sponsored by their coy for training, am talking about big companies like shell, nnpc, nestle foods, coca cola bottling company e.t.c. or rich men kids like my friend currently undergoing training.
Re: Electrical Engineering: Aspirants and Practitioners by Nobody: 7:28pm On May 17, 2015
Electrical engineers should take note of this question before going for an interview or practical aptitude test. if you do not know 85% of the answers now as your reading it for the first time then you have work to do on yourself. Because of the nature of our university system(un experience lecturers with little or know industrial knowledge) and poor industrial training program, most of us graduated without knowing that these questions are the key to nailing any interview in electrical power section(instrument and process control will come later).
i can only vouch for AEIT for now wrt practical training.

1= What is the different between a solid state relay and an electromagnetic relay.
2= Why is it that an electrical motor using 480VAC is runs on a star/delta circuit.
3= Draw the control and the power diagram of a direct online motor.
4= What is single phasing of a 3 phase motor.
5= What is the function of a relay, contactor, and overload relay in a motor circuit.
6= what is the full meaning of MCB,MCCB and OLR
7= Name five part of an AC motor
8= Know your motor calculation, viz a viz slip. efficiency, speed.
9= How do you reverse the direction of a DC motor.
10=How do you reverse the direction of an AC motor.
11=what are the causes of a motor overload.
12=The speed of a motor is determine by what two factors
13=What is the different between synchronous and asynchronous motor.
14=Explain the operation of an induction motor.
15=How effective are you in the use of megger meter and analog/digital meter.
16=What are the different type of motor overload protection devices and how are they connected. such as fuses, OLR, MCB, MCCB, phase failure device, under current device, etc.
17=what do you understand by Power factor correction, what are the types of power factor correction and why is power factor correction important. etc.
18= Add more electrical motor question that you have come across in the interview.

everything having being said is know your motor, transformer and practical basic electricity very well.
note that you do not need to answer all the questions being asked in an interview but you need to answer a quite number of the question asked to your best, keep it simple and clear but before you get to this stage, your cv should speak for you.
consult other trends to learn how to write a very good cv.

i have 4 pdf and an electrical maintenance video to give out to those who want it. i have had my day, struggle to get here, made sacrifices, waited resources in search of practical electrical knowledge. the key is NEVER GIVE UP. [size=18pt]one of your best aid to learning is www.youtube.com
