There are 3 paths for International Medical Graduates...everything is here http://www.medicalboard.gov.au/Registration/International-Medical-Graduates.aspx

N.B: The statement you made in your P.S was totally not necessary. This is a forum where we all try to help each other without asking for a penny and i think we should a little bit less strict and friendly in our expression(s).

The thing is who finds both equivalent? If it is the assessing authority, ur M.Sc completion date is tagged as ur Skills MET date and thereby rendering ur relevant work exp after B.Sc not valid for points test... My guess is from ACS though. It could be valid for suitability.

However, if u discover the both equivalences urself, u could withhold the M.Sc and claim work exp all through if relevant and if u worked all through too. My understanding.

I don't believe an assessing authority will find both equivalent and tag skills MET on B.Sc completion date.

If your occupation requires a Bachelor's degree, and your BSc is equivalent to an Aus Bachelor's...your skills met date is your Bachelor's degree award date. If you need your MSc to equate to an Aus BSc, your skills met date is your MSc award date.

Sometimes we are too busy to check out information by ourselves and then depend on others to do it for us.

Sincerely, what MARA agents are selling is information and it is very costly. And the reason why you get adequate information before applying for PR in particular is to avoid being denied visa. I was once a victim of this. I could not check information online by myself even when it was available online. It costed me about 800AUD plus for Ernst & Young to check my eligibility criteria for PR. And ever since then, I made up my mind to help as many people with information. At least, I have assisted 5 people with information on Australia PR immigration up to PR grants and others are in the pipeline.

People should always appreciate this and not to discourage others that are willing to help.

Read the process for international trained doctors here:

You get patience o. And you even still replied him.

That would have been the end of it for me. Let him go and pay a MARA agent that will just chop his money.

Yeah but ACS used the month and year I told them I finished the program. Some schools' award dates could span to four years...not a good Skills MET date oh.

Apply for Feb Start at Australian Catholic University, www.acu.edu.au. Check for Bsc Hons in Nursing or the relevance. I think you will find your path there. The fees are reasonable too. Once you apply, you will be re-directed to GOAJO Agency in Australia or Lagos, once you get to that bridge, I will advice you on what to do. Which you luck. Cheers. cool

Hello. Try to search for post graduate nursing programmes in different universities and pick the one that has SVP processing. It will afford you the opportunity to get into the system and write their registration exams with ease.
Follow all the other processes earlier outlined on this forum to ensure your visa is granted within the shortest period possible. All the best.

Vetassess uses the date on your completion letter, certificate or transcript. Even if you got your certificate 10 yrs after, your completion date/degree award date should read the date you completed it, not the issue date.

In a sane world sha....lol

Even your so-called apology reeks of pride and rudeness.

You obviously have some serious issue maam,i know i cant impress every1 but yours is just a funny case, your profile history rates you as a reasonable person, but your persistence on not letting it go even when every1 has, shows there is more to your 'niceness' charade.
If you have a problem with forgiving ppl that 'offended' you,let it be personal, quote me instead like an elite would and stop hiding behind other ppl's comment...i still believe there is a reasonable aspect tucked somewhere in your personality,so ease up,and live and lets live, there is only 1 God,and its not you...kilode!!!

Guy, u go need wait till them open oo. No other advice besides that. Its only one teleperformance office we have in Lagos. Is it SVP? If not why did you wait this long? They always advice you even from your school to apply 3 months to time.
Anyway, If its svp, it wont take time to be out. All you do after submission is wait and pray.
If it becomes worse you deffer and go Feb. (this is worse worst case o)

@dexterinc2003 and bossladyMo and the other good people of NL please kindly let this pass.
I am not taking sides with Dexterinc on this, but I honestly do not find his post offensive, maybe because i can be a bit blunt myself. I intimately interact with dozens of people on a daily basis and I have come to accept that not everybody's approach will rub me the right way. When I offend people I try to apologize without hesitation and move on. He has apologised. Repeatedly. Please let's not assume he's not sincere.

Chief dexterinc2003, please s l o w d o w n, this is not consultant WR o! grin. to be honest your last response to the Bosslady was not right. It was with an abundance of such comments that people drove the other helpful lady Jennykary or so away. If not for Bosslady, UBKtech, Mrnilobrown, Ferdimako, NNBB2012 etc, do you have any idea how anemic this thread would have been?

I have personally benefited immensely from the people here. Without this thread and the wonderful people who just volunteer everything, I wouldn't have taken any step at all.

Thanks

A nurse once posted it on this forum and that is the process generally. I have also modified the process. Kindly read and follow it accordingly.

Below is the guideline to work here as a Nurse.

To work here as a registered nurse you need to apply to AHPRA with your overseas trained application form.. the form link is below

http://www.nursingmidwiferyboard.gov.au/documents/default.aspx?record=WD11%2f5938&dbid=AP&chksum=Vu5B6IVSxjQ2tDhZpamU2Q%3d%3d

You need to sit for either IELTS academics (7,7,7,7) or the OET exam etc. before applying...now for nurses or health practitioners, OET is the easiest exam to write for medical practitioners. It is in fact the best, you write it once and you are sure of getting it right. Immigration department accepts it for PR purposes.

You need to write the exam before applying. Once you submit the result, they will ask the nurses board in the country where you are registered to verify that you are registered with them; the nurses board in Nigeria or wherever you registered will send the verification directly to AHPRA. When AHPRA gets it, they will send you an email with a list of universities where you can do a bridging course in Australia for 3-6 months or 1 year conversion course (which people like to do cos they can work whilst doing the conversion and pay their fees unlike the bridging course that they can't work. BUT THEN AHPRA WILL TELL HIM WHICH ONE TO GO FOR) UNIVERSITY TRAINED I THINK HE YOU BE ASKED TO DO THE 3 MONTHS COURSE. PEOPLE WHO DO THE 1 YEAR CONVERSION COURSE ARE THOSE WHO ARE HOSPITAL TRAINED REGISTERED NURSES WITH A DIPLOMA CERTIFICATE. SO AFTER THE CONVERSION THE SCHOOL GIVES THEM A BACHELOR'S CERTIFICATE AND CANCELS DIPLOMA(which is good cos then you have a bachelor degree not diploma). After the bridging course you will get your registration with AHPRA as a nurse.

Can one submit application for skillselect(PR) without IELTS?

It is not compulsory provided that you have minimum 60points required without English test(Ielts, PTE-academics, Toefl etc.). Note that you will need it for your assessment except if you an holder of any of British , SA, USA, Canada,Ireland etc. passport.
