What type of President speaks in toilet. Every day, Buhari said, Buhari said, Buhari said. So his nomadic accent has reduced him to a cupboard President ? He hardly holds press conference and stay on camera because he is shy. We need a President that can appear on TV and talk, not the one with marabouts and courtiers.
So Obama comes out everytime on TV on non serious issues. Sorry he is not jobless and he is working. He has no business explaining to you.

Hope Adesina starts work soonest as d senior of the 2 presidential spokesmen because Garba Shehu eventhough competent and effective, has this habit of being too forward with his press releases, only to realise later he has misrepresented PMB and made a big issue out of nothing.
He was d same person that told Nigerians that AIT was barred from covering d president elect then due to security and family concerns, while Buhari had no idea of what was happening.
Then with this asset stuff,he told us that was a "public declaration" when it was even clear to us from far off that the CCB had to vet d assets first.Another faux pas.
I now see d wisdom in bringing in Adesina as a senior media adviser. The job maybe too big for Shehu alone to handle.

Wonderful analysis sir.

Simple public declaration. Declare publicly what you declared to the CCB. Why do we have to wait for the CCB to verify anything?

buhari is a liar!
you know when you tell one lie,
you will have to tell another 1000 lies to cover it up.

if buhari were telling the truth,
he woul simply make public the one he submitted to CCB!
Now the dullard of daura is waiting for CCB to confirm the number of wives and houses buhari has!

Those calling TANOIDS names should realize that if not for them, this new development might just never have happened. I can't remember if Yárdua waited for criticisms and completion of investigations by the CCB before fulfilling that promise as the declaration wouldn't have stopped the investigations.

Meanwhile, let them be fast about the process so we can see for ourselves and verify if there is a new definition to poverty and confirm PMB's inability to pay for the #27million APC presidential form.
Other factors is the reconciliation of the source of the purported #135million donation to IDPs in Adamawa by the first lady. Lets go there!.

Meanwhile every girl in this Nairaland should endeavour to declare their profile pictures. We don't click on a profile only to read statements like "my life is beautiful"or more annoying ones like "now you've wasted your time coming to my profile...blah blah blah".

Dear Daura President (3D),

When would this be?

Please, while declaring your assets publicly, do not forget to include your wife's N10m watch. Recently we were informed you owned 2 houses in Kaduna and 1 in Abuja, you never told us this, the only thing you told us was your 150 cows, bungalow in Katsina and N1m.

Furthermore, seems your boys up north are still not informed that you have been sworn in as president, call them to order and let the senseless killings and arson stop.

Shameless eddiots, trying to be relevant to nobody but themselves.

Olisa metuh seems to be doing well as an opposition unlike you lots who talk before thinking.

It's on record that Yaradua's asset declaration was made public a month after submission and you lots knew the truth but you all felt it would be fun to make unnecessary noise about a non-issue.

Well, we're expecting the noise you guys will make when the declared assets finally hits the public, pheww, you lots are so damn predictable for an opposition. Smh

Thank you my brother. Is it not the same Buhari Spokesman Shehu Garba that said...
“President Muhammadu Buhari has declared his assets to the Code of Conduct Bureau as required by the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If anyone is interested in knowing details of his asset worth, such a person can avail himself or herself of the use of Freedom of Information Act to seek the information from the bureau.”

They are deceiving themselves. Let's await the details

What stops him from sending the same details he gave to CCB to the press? Is it not his asset? Is CCB his accountant or property valuers? Isn't it clear that Buhari is hiding something? Didn't his Spokesman say (and I quote)

DrBulalaa:
President Muhammadu Buhari has said that in fulfilment of one of their campaign promises, his declared assets and those of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo will be released to the public upon the completion of their verification by the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB).

His clarification will quiet critics who complained about his statement early this week that anyone who needs to see it has to request for it via an FOI request to the Code of Conduct Bureau.

The president expressed hope that the verification process by CCB will be completed before the expiry of the 100-day deadline within which he promised to declare his assets.

The Senior Special Assistant, SSA (Media and Publicity), Mal. Garba Shehu who announced this in a statement on behalf of the President on Saturday, 6 June, said “the duly completed forms by both the President and the Vice President were submitted to the CCB on March 28th, a clear day ahead of their inauguration.”

He said this statement was warranted by the need to clarify some suggestions that the President and the Vice-President may not, after all, declare their assets publicly.

“While such public display of concern is appreciated and valued, it must be said that it is a little precipitate.

“As required by law, the declaration and submission of documents to the CCB have been made, but there still remains the aspect of verification which the Bureau will have to conduct to authenticate the submissions made to it.

“In the circumstances, it is only after this verification exercise, and not before, that the declaration can be said to have been made and validated; and only after this, will the details be released to the public.

“There is no question at all that the President and the Vice President are committed to public declaration of their assets within the 100 days that they pledged during the presidential campaign.

“The President and the Vice President wish to thank Nigerians for their show of concern, and for the confidence they have shown in their leaders’ integrity, as evidenced by the high pedestal of uprightness and expectations on which they have placed them.”

Verification neither adds nor subtracts from what's been declared, the essence of verification is to ascertain the truth or otherwise of what's been declared. Buhari cannot update his declaration to align with the result of the verification so what's the need in waiting for the result of the verification? The declaration is like an affidavit deposed to under oath, any lie therein amounts to perjury, to wait with a view to altering the content to align with the result of verification by CCB is tantamount to fraud. Publish your declaration now or forget it, stop insulting our collective intelligence.
Those comparing what Yaradua did then to what the former despot is doing now should note that the late president never promised to publicly declare his asset, he owed us no moral obligation to publicly declare his assets but elected of his own free will to do so.
