i cant remember officially proposing to my wife. Just told her i love her and would love to marry her right from the first day (we were course mates then). no kneeling down, no ring. She thought i was joking

You can't call it waste of money. People will do whatever they want with their money. If u buy rice with 3 meat, some people might see that as waste of money, only u eating 3 meat. This life is short, money should be spent and not used for only the acquisition of physical asset or other assets with depreciating value.

This is not about big. Its about been in a country where things are easily accessible. They have wedding as well as proposal planners. In naija there are little or no proposal planners so this like this are hard to see. I applaud my guy but this isn't that pricey to arrange.
