brodalikeme:Thank you my brother, but you see,all around the world, the only ground upon which unity stands,is Justice. Using a hot iron on my back, and at same time rubbing me on the chest saying "sorry, please i love you",is gross stupidity and hypocricy. Lets take my region for instance; whats the rationale behind North's stands against the upward review of 13% derivation to at least 18%?.Truth is that, every region/ethnic nationality in Nigeria, has their grues, and it must be resolved before we talk of unity,or it doesnt exist. |

AlfaSeltzer:You can say that but at the end of the day the money that you're stealing was most likely supposed to be for your Igbo brothers and sisters so the people that you're hurting the most from your thievery is your fellow Igbos, not Nigeria as a whole. |
| Re: Ndi Yoruba + Omo Igbo by francizy(m): 4:05pm On Jun 17, 2015 |
But truth is, Igbos and Yorubas are biased to their brothers and sisters which is normally expected in every human just that some people stretch their bias to a whole new dimension. See it like this, even parents have favourite children, not because the ones they love are the best but because they can't hold themselves from the personal attachment God may have imbedded in him/her and his/her child. But if we can always acknowledge our tribes and acknowledge others too, then Nigeria wouldn't be as terrible as it is. But some people will acknowledge their tribe and bash others. I was born and brought up in Lagos, left sometimes back to study in the north. From when I was born till after studying, I never noticed this Yoruba/Igbo internet battle/war till after about a year after my NYSC which is last year. I was not using Nairaland too, so I think that was one of the reasons I was alien to the whole thing. In reality, you will still have Igbos and Yorubas who are buddies, even in my area. It's just some hate filled bigots that do all this bashing online. If only we can put our differences aside and go out there to fight our real enemies who the politicians, policemen, etc. then Nigeria will experience growth. |

chamboy:Very true and we all know the ones using the divide and rule tactics on us. The day we will all unite down south, a lot will be achieved. Imagine how long Igbos and Yorubas have cohabited without bloodshed. Now imagine if the minority tribes in the other regions were allowed to cohabit in such manner, we wouldn't have had problems of bloodshed in this country. All we need to do is understand each other and let go of bigotry and hence a new southern alliance will be born. |

francizy:History is there for guidance, go and learn your history onye Igbo. People never reveal their Igbophobia, they hide it carefully in public. It was naive Igbos like you that got killed during the 1966 pogrom. Many of them mistook the friendly smiles and banters their non Igbo friends share with them for love, before they knew it, they were all loaded in trailers as corpses and brought back to the East. Learn to look deeper, behind the veneer of friendliness lies a deep seated Igbophobia, don't be fooled, nothing changes, they just assume a new form. |

There is no conflict between Ndiigbo and Yorubas. We are not neighbors to Yorubas to start with.Once we establish a border between us and Binis at the Western most part of Ikaland, every thing will go back to it's default state. The problem of Ndiigbo is Nigeria, once we leave Nigeria, half of our problems are solved already, and this includes the Yoruba situation. |

Give ur rubbish advice and get away from here. As long as Nigeria is a fake entity unjustly put together for the exploitation of British, you are as fake as it comes. Even ur unity is fake, ur one Nigeria is fake. We are off to Biafra, go and unite with ur Yoruba brothers from Benin Republic and Togo, we don't have anything in common apart from being blacks, but we Biafrans don't reason like Blacks. Shove ur unity down ur ass. IPOB on the march to get our freedom , then u can see what real unity is within brothers. |
