I'm just not happy after realizing i didn't buy a pure breed Male Caucasian or atleast 90 to 95 percent of the breed purity. should i buy another one or get a very good female ? were and how can i get it. and who can i trust.

i've not had a dog in my life b4. i don't really like dogs though i don't hate them. i moved to a bigger apartment/house and i'm alone with my family. i saw the necessity of having one. after much research on dogs, i called a friend who own dogs to get me a pure Caucasian male atleast 90 to 95 percent. he brought one and told me its pure, the dog was looking very fine at pup so i immediately paid for it. pple came to check even the vet man and said its 75 to 77 percent pure. i'm so so sad cos the guy i trusted deceived me and i've really spent so much money on d dog trying to make it grow very big. i bought all kind of drugs, crunches and CAN feed and also pay someone to cook for the dog cos of my time. i buy chicken in carton just for d dog but my family also take from it. i realize the dog might not really grow very big as i want. plz advice me cos i might grow hatred for the dog. i've really treated d dog well. built a fine house with tiles and toilet and shower for the dog. i'm just so sad, plz help, were can i get 90 to 95 percent Caucacian. thank u

Don't develop hatred for the dog, he should go just fine. But let us see his pics first. BTW, there is section for dogs lovers, buyers and sellers on Nairaland here, assuming you visited that before buying your dog, you would have learnt so much. But its never too late.

All dogs are beautiful depends on the care they get. And looking very big doesn't determine good health you'd agree with me. More so, fat dogs are more prone to injury and clumsy and not fast. You know how fat humans could be, same with animals.
ADVICE: keep the dog! You can get another to add to your home if you so desire.

Firstly. @4months, you can't determine the size your dog would reach unless you have the parent informations and size doesn't dictate the purity of the dog.

Show us the dog and the board could help you.

I always laugh when I read things like this...but trust me..you are not alone...actually nearly everybody has gone through this phase you are in right now.

the most important thing is that you love and take care of your dog and you will marvel on the outcome.

see, in Nigeria...most breeder will try to condemn any dog that you did not buy from them even if you get the dog from the field after he or she just won championship competition.


ask yourself...what test did the vet conduct to determine the percentage ? dont get me wrong ..you can estimate the level of conformation of a dog to the breed by physical examination but dont let it get to you so much that you will now contemplate throwing your dog away.

on the lighter side...if you take a yoruba boy from ikorodu and another from lekki...of course there will be difference due to environment, feeding, parents and genetics but that doesnt make d ikorodu boy less yoruba.

take d same ikorodu boy to london...feed him well and see how he will transform if not better than the lekki own.

I notice the dog tenderness and overall, so aggressive at this tender age, how many collars have I gotten for my dog, m so loving both my dogs, the breeder I was so angry with was even jealous when he saw both of them, instead of getting angry with him for selling me such dog, I even gave him some dough for giving me a wonderful dogs

This ain't no full breed Caucasian. It's evidently an Alsatian mixed with Caucasian? Dunno actually but your purpose for buying the dog actually dictates of you'll keep it or not. It's like dating a girl you don't like, it's either you keep up with her or go separate ways and find the girl of your dreams. Your choice.
