Hello Nlanders,
My driver is by my standards a learned guy( he's got an OND) but he rudely asserted yesterday on our way to a government function that any man who is unmarried at 30 Is irresponsible.
Am single at 30. I just concluded the guy is referring to me his boss.
This guy has been with me when I had nothing. Ordinarily I shall fire and compensate him but the guy is the average employee you need hardworking and industrious but his last statement got him into my black books.
What do I Do? I dont intend getting married any time soon but his last gaffee is hurting me.

Bros it depends on how you understand it... He may not be talking to you... He might have made an overstatement..... Not bad either because marriage is a school you can never graduate from so it means you should plan well for it to avoid mistakes that may last forever!!!

Why shud u let a guy like that's words get to u. because he got OND don't mean he's intelligent.

If he was smart he wud know his boss' issues aint his concern but I'm sure u gave him that chance.

Is marriage an accomplishment? By wat standard?

We blacks don't kno more than, marry, have sex, party, drink beer, lazy around and wen there's an issue we'll turn spiritual.

I bet to disagree

Personally, I believe that circumstances have conditioned so many eminently marriageable men into that state, because no man with his right sense of reasoning plans to get married at a late age.

Back to the topic

If at all your driver said that, never let that statement knock you off your feet. I guess that statement will even do you more good than harm because it will even ignite you and make you set your priorities right and do the needful in time, before you grow grey hair

it seems they are in the northern part of naija, they tends to marry earlier than the southern part. Maybe the driver was judging by their way of life.

It is FAR from the truth, nobody should rush into marriage because of their age rather they are male or female.
He just wanted to strike a nerve with you and it seems he was successful, just ignore what he said, if he is a good employee don't fire him because of something as petty as this because it would only make you as petty as he is, besides do you really want to waste your time on training someone new?

Move above the madness and be the better man.
