If cost of application is an issue for you, maybe you should consider Centennial College as they do not require any application fee. Most other schools require an application fee for every program applied to. In other words, application to three programs in the same school equals payment of three application fees.

thanks smiley

thanks
my husband is not going for a program, he just wanted to accompany me to help with our daughter. he feels that since he's already going he can also take care of the baby too while i school. am the bookish type and he's really encouraging me to further and is willing to do everything to lessen the stress on me. he works in a bank but has always wanted to quit his bank job and start a buisness; he feels now is the time to go and when we come back we can start the busness. my fear now is getting a Visa for us all in my condition, and postponing it will just make me loose interest in the whole thing.

Well, I'd decide you give it a shot!

Establishing home ties will be another big issue here though, since you are going with your husband.

You have an amazing husband btw. smiley

Nope!

The last time I checked the clause for a study permit states that your work permit can only activate if you are enrolled into a program.

In my own little understanding, I do not think one acceptance fee can be used for multiple applications. It is just a particular program u are paying the fee for.
If you are considering putting for another program then another acceptance fee is required. Each department is independent of the other....as such the above.

Hello everyone, I've learnt a lot from discussions here.

I am applying to UOIT for January 2016 session. I will be going with my toddler she'll be 2yrs by then. I hope to use the child care center within the institution for her care during my schools hours.

I am still worried about getting a decent affordable accommodation for both of us. I read of Family stay or something as an accommodation option but don't really understand what it is. Please I need elaboration.

Secondly, hubby and I applied for FSW December last year, if it goes through, will I get any child support stipend?

Hello house.please can anyone who has applied through ontariocollege application service for colleges please clarify me if there is/are any document to be put across to the college after submission.your candid advise will be appreciated.

Yes!
However, you will need to submit your supporting documents either directly to the school's international office via email or post, or you can upload your documents on their online portal, if the school has that option available.

I dont completely agree. What applied in his days still apply now.
If u have good grades esp a 1st class, n actually know your onion, d sky is ur limit. I speak from my family's experience. I still know kids who finished say 2/3yrs ago with good grades n work in very good places without any 'influence'.
This mentality of no motivation is what students already have before they even get into school. Very wrong mentality. I would have shared some experiences on this forum but it would be a very long story. Kids should always strive to be tops regardless of the 'no motivation' factor, and see where it gets them.
Crich I beg to differ, let me give an example of someone I know personally she graduated with. First class in Agric economics, could not get a job she went for masters and got distinction up till now no work after thousands of application . She teaches in a secondary school where she is paid 30k. I have told her to apply to Canada she will get schoolarship for PHD , guess what she is not motivated at all. Last week she asked me wht is all the strees for

family stay better known as home stay it a process whereby u live with a family at an agreed rent. but u don't need that cos u grown and u married u can get decent accommodation for 500-600 CAD a month for u and ur daughter .

Ah! Her case needs special prayers. What happened to bank jobs? Ah ah! Not a 30k job na no matter how bad. There's something wrong somewhere. I still stand on my earlier statement. First class has a place somewhere good in this country as long as it can be defended. U dont expect a first class material to be employed if he cant sell himself/defend d degree during an interview.

Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by Crich(f): 3:43am On Jun 27, 2015
Pinkygrace, how long did she apply for? How many organisations did she apply to? How was her presentation/performance at the interviews(very key)? Why should first class give u an automatic job? She should be able to reconfirm her intelligence to the interviewers.
Let her go teach in her university instead of dt secondary sch. Let her not frustrate her degree. Go, advise her

I wasn't motivated to get a 1st class during my undergraduate days, true that, cos the enabling environment wasn't there... But I was 100 times more scared of getting a poor grade at the end of it all cos I know and have always been advised from onset when I got admission into school that no matter what course you're doing in school, finish with at least a 2.1.

Majority of the young peeps that didn't do so well in the undergraduate studies were as a result of peer pressure coupled with the euphoria of being independent and away from home, no thanks to our lecturers that don't help matters. In addition, the environment and facilities are not enabling. In my undergraduate days, I don't read my books till 1week to exams but I can never try that now.

In addition, some students go thru a lot of hardship to see themselves thru school and the psychological effects which result from these stress reflect on their academic performance.

If in the midst of all these limitations, someone ends up bagging a 1st class, I respect that person so much cos honestly..... E no easy

Finally, the truth about studying here is that you have known that you are between the devil and the deep blue sea... You have no other option than to make it if not, your people go disown you.. As you now have no other reason to give if you don't do well cos everything you need is at your disposal.
