Onitsha has been structured to be a market city. But the market pattern too is worrysome, I still maintain my stand aside Banks there are little or virtually no corporate business presence in Onitsha.

The ploriferation of markets is not a yardstick to measuring IGR 'cos most of these markets remit far below what they ought to ve remitted to government coffers and this is possible due to d informal secture-structure of most markets in Onitsha.

As for the Bussines park by Peter Obi the premises is still been under utilised due too the poor design and template, as the structure failed to include an all encompassing design that will be dynamic to accomodating other businesses. Mr. Obi should ve biult a multi storey corporate business building dat will accommodate both what we ve at the moment and other offices for other firms in this regards corporate firms would easily avail themselves the oppurtunity of locating their offices in an already made corporate domiciliary which will be cost effective for both d companies and also propel staff to live in onitsha and spend their monies here which will enhance trickle down effect of resouce redistribution.
Rather Peter Obi built series of two storey biuldings with names already attached ; Stock exchange building, Financial building, etc: Today Acces bank and co ve taken over some of the buildings thereby making the business park a strickly financial institutional mutually exclusive enclave and pushing other corporate businesses like oil and Gas (orient@etroleum), Legal services, consulting firms, IT firms,Telecommunications, Real Estate developers/ managers, Electronic and print Media etc. to d background. Had these been acheieved that axis would by now be d hub of corporate activities and an extension of the Onitsha CBD!

Like I said sometime ago am working on a blog that will soon be out and it is strictly directed for constructive criticism towards government policies, actions and inactions.

1. Who eradicated crimes and criminality to the barest minimum in Anambra State within 6 months.
2. Whom inherited not less than 10,000 newly employed in the state civil service, yet all were retained and he has been paying salaries as and when due when others are owing.
2b. Even with the economic crunch, recruitment exercise was just concluded in the state judiciary.
3. Who inherited countless number of rural roads from the former administration, yet none was abandoned.
4. Who continues the Amawbia - Amamsea Expressway reconstruction started by the last administration but added 3 gigantic flyover bridges to the project
5. Who is bringing our dreams of having am airport to reality by creating 4 dual carriageways to same and yet the consultancy contract for the airport is ongoing
I can go on and on ....

Take ur nonsense to imo state thread. Your Owerre is still a slum filled with Ikwerre-type shanties, bad roads and dirtiness even though its not an economic town. 1/3rd of imo state population are living in Onitsha and environs, let them go back to their useless state.

Anambra has the best road networks in Nigeria. We are only putting our government on their toes because we are on another level ahead of ur useless imo state in all ramifications of development- education, health, overall infrastructural development, etc

Anambra is well planned state with the best road networks east of the niger. The state of sanitation is very punctual and the state is clean for it.
