I suppose Irib is still much around on hotbird and badr 4 5 6 sats. Those that are hooked on it can confirm to the house. My thinking is that so much noise about this made them to move it much farther away the noise makers. Now you either upgrade ot shut up.

Dstv does not joke with rights issue. I am sure during the u20 world cup, you know how AIT was blank during the matches on DSTV cos they did not have the rights to televise the matches.

The only solution for the long term is a big dish from 3.6m or an android box. I will open an online store if I can get ready supplies especially for these large dishes and good gscam/Linux decoders.

FTA will surely give way to iks. I was in a man's house with a 3.5m dish in Lokoja with a strong 4950hd receiver and he was not enjoying the stations because the most important ones were scrambled.

I got him a mini x4, and he is thanking me everyday. Full EPL, All European league now available at his home unlike before when he was previously going to a viewing centre.

Pls go on and create the thread. Irib will be irreplaceable! The chinese must redouble their efforts in the Dstv piracy. We shall all abandon our big dishes and join Qsat family! Dstv will be happy that way

Qsat not reliable for a family except you have a second option. Big dishes paired with iks is the way forward. If you have good data, a dvbs2 and android combo receiver is another option.

irib package is on hotbird!because of epl rights!Irib tv3 and varzesh was removed from Hotbird (europe)and the one on badr is on central Asia!

I don't think the issue is about noise..if it is about noise making..they will easily pull varzesh and tv3 from the package like 13east..but the tp left! the probability of the tp coming back is still there..

Download Latest software V3.24P from crosat. Also make sure its an old My Tv smart card you are using

All, is so sad that our beloved Irib package has left its base. A station we have all loved for years.... even with my hot bird and account on, I still can't do without your u my precious IRIB. Its so painful to say goodbye. We say a big thank u to those that made us enjoyed your services while it lasted. IRIB u are always on our mind now and for many years to come. I have tried dielectric plate but no show. I used dual k/c band lnb. The Ku is working but the C band is elusive. What Am I doing wrongly?

I don't think so. They left that satellite to arabsat 20E. They were forced to leave that satellite because of EU sanctions or so. The European together with D.s.thieves(dstv) have been fighting both tooth and nail to push Irib from reach of Aricans. Very bad news. So must we all be forced to watch dstv? Very sad news
