Yep, desperate women are being scammed on a daily basis by these so-called maternity homes. Someone asked why not spend the money on an IVF, well two of the women I know in port-harcourt had tried IVFs a few times already and it failed. After spending all that money imagine how desperate they are to believe anything.

The police busted a syndicate recently in PH, but there are still more out there. To answer your question, I think you definitely see both. Women who believe they actually gave birth to these babies and those who may have outrightly bought them. But anyone who waits 9 months, taking herbal drugs and watching her tummy grow definitely BELIEVES she gave birth to the child.

As for the 'spiritual pregnancy', I think the man was also brainwashed by these scammers and his wife or they are both conniving to deceive the embassy. The only reason anyone should bring up the fact we are Africans is that we are more gullible to 'religious' scams, don'† try to make them credible or mysterious.

I think that VisaOfficer is trying to be funny with this thread or you guys are trying to gauge how gullible Nigerians are.

No, actually, these are real cases that have shown up here. I was trying to get a sense of whether the women are being scammed or whether they're in on it. Either way, if the kids aren't theirs and they haven't been legally adopted, they're not going to get visas / passports from us.

VisaOfficer: While we're at it, could someone explain the whole "spiritual pregnancy" thing to me? I appreciate your help.

some cultures believe in it and in some islamic communities if a woman gives birth after divorce ranging up to a couple of years it is regarded as the child of the former husband if she remains single

please im new to this site just trying to know how to ask my questions. i have a fiance who is a USA citizen. we filled the fiance petition for some months back and presently she got a letter from the USCIS requesting for a picture or an evidence that shows that we have been together. which we are making arrangement for her to come. so my question is if she come can we as well get married in Nigeria at the same time and apply for k-3 visa? can it be possible for us to travel back together? or do you think that getting married is going to take us back from the beginning or will it affect the fiance petition. please i need and answer we only have 2 months left

the truth is there's is nothing like spiritual pregnancy except the spiritual head got the woman pregnant. in this part of the world where there is so much importance attached to having kids especially the married couples. it makes the woman gullible, desperate, restless and believe everything she is been told. at this point she'd want to save her face from humiliation, rejection, discrimination, marital disharmony and trust me such a woman can do anything to be seen as a mother whether or not the child is hers. as day goes by alot of inventions are being given birth to like surrogates, ivf's etc in some cases the women could go get pregnant for someone else and clinch it to her husband without his knowledge. in cases were the couples are so wealthy the can choose to do any of the above method.

Well to me the Parent are aware of what they did with the native>herbalist Dr, are u going to tell me during labor even if the woman was on sedate that no blood or placenta. After birth!where the baby was be remove from re womb even if it's not normal birth it's cessaren section nor surgery stitches in her body or pad in her vaginal, please let's call. Spade a spade not call a spade a cutlass, the parent should not claim innocent in this case most especially the woman they are aware, a women who gave birth newly body is different from a woman who is pregnant or without pregnancy both the herbalist and the women are guilty of the offense it's desperation to have baby that's all

Hi sir/ma,

I have been denied twice under session 214b. The first time was before my marriage and second time after my wedding and am working. Can you tell me why I was denied. Thou I was visiting USA alone because my husband is a busy business man I also I have a child before I got marriage but in the form there is no space to fill that I have a child before marriage or maybe I didn't check well. And i dont get a chance to explain that at the interview. Please can u advice me more or tell me what I was doing wrong.
