@bolded, U still not getting the point are U?.. Its not about making money its about spending it.Im close to a lot of well-to-do ladies ( Mostly relations) who r getting 6 figures monthly salary yet ironically most of them are driving cars bought by their husbands for them. Do a bit of fact finding to see how many ladies ( in Nigeria) actually bought the cars they drive with their OWN cash.

Btw I'm a strong advocate of "Female Independency" , wouldn't it be nice to have a GF for once who spend as much as I do, call as much as I do n contribute as much as I do in a relationship?..but really U girls don't want that . forget all these internet trollings and pretending. The facts speak for themselves!

Btw why will I call U a liar?? I'm not one of those male trolls on here.. And I love and respect women! How can I not, when the Three MOST important people in my life are women? smiley

Can I ask you a simple question? If what you want is a woman that shares financial responsibilities, are you willing to do the same when it comes to house chores?

Most of the societal ills are enforced by women on their fellow women so who is discriminating against who.

My prayer is that more and more women have the strength of character to shrug off ignorance in whatever form it presents itself. If someone says you are .............. its not really a problem until you start to believe it or when you hide away in shame.

You have to know and be proud of who you are. You have to be your own best advocate and spend your time making wise and dignified choices. Personally once I am comfortable with the choices that I make, I really do not give a damn what someone who does not really feature in my radar has to say about it. Majority are so unhappy in their lives that they are looking for their unhappy club members.

Silence is golden for a lot of situations and you have to choose which ignorance to dignify with a response.

Such a nice post.

You still don't understand the 'Politics' of Nigerian marriages huh?

The my-husband-is-a-billioniare-and-buys-everything-I-need syndrome is very predominant.

Plus Nigerian men like to brag with what 'they bought for their wives' . . . So a lot of these items are attributed to 'my-husband-bought-me' syndrome; when in actual fact she bought it herself.

I can tell you that 80% of those women you know bought those cars themselves but are claiming their husbands bought it for them.

What I never understood is how I will sit back and let someone else take the glory for my hard-work. undecided

1. I don't allow any1 but me wash my clothes ( excluding laundry services) #Fact.

2. I grew up in a "Do-it-youself" home where after eating U wash the plate U used YOURSELF, sweep your room YOURSELF, lay Your bed YOURSELF e.t.c e.t.c , I no b cripple ( No pun intended) , I dont need any1 to do anything for me that I can do myself. That's the way I was brought up and I'm sticking to it!

3. I'm very sure by my above statements U already know i can Cook. I was brought up the right way... No segregation. So y should I BEG any1 to cook for me if I can probably cook better than the person?

So , I'm probably the wrong person to ask that question seeing that I actually enjoy doing things myself..

But if the man bears the financial burden ALONE then the lady should do the chores ALONE #Simple!

What you overlooked is that a number of 'my husband buys this or that' is really the wife buying them herself.

Someone said Most of the societal ills are enforced by women on their fellow women so who is discriminating against who ..

He probably didn't know it is worst than that... It seems the "discrimination" is self-inflicted. Hmmmmn

Yea, they actually share the financial responsibilities Just like me and my bae and that's Y I handle about 70+ % of the financial responsibilities Y she handles 30- % . Fair enough. Its not like I'm complaining or anything .

Likewise , Most guys aren't complaining .

smh4U !, as if guys don't do about 30 % house chores ( Or try to, when less busy)

So what's with all the nagging from the ladies

Really, wetin Una want from guys self??.. To just roll over and say Yes ma like a dog on leash?

really? okay so what house chores do you do exactly my guy? you don't want to say yes ma? see how e dey pain for body o. Women that have been saying yes sir for centuries nko? Did they die? See how it feels you do not ave a say? Anyway, nobody wants you to say yes ma o. When feminists talk, you people act quite defensive as if someone wants to take control of your life. Truth is no one will date or marry a mumu no. 1. Asking to be treated fairly is different from wanting to take charge. Peace!

*It's Only in Nigeria that's it is a crime for a woman to have a car and not have a husband.

*When you are a Nigerian lady and you are still single at 30years, pastors will start casting out the spirit of anti-marriage from you.

*For a Nigeria woman, after school you must have two certificates.
University certificate and your marriage certificate.

*"Don't you know how to drive, see how you are driving like a woman"

*Every pretty light skinned girl is an ogbange

*Every single girl that dresses fine and has money is a runs girl.

*Every lady that wears skirt is a good girl. Every one that wears trouser is a bad girl.
