And what are the requirements for establishing a new company IN USA. Dont mind my too many questions.

Sorry, I don't know how to establish new companies. I do know that if someone establishes a new company solely for the purpose of helping people immigrate to the U.S., it's considered immigration fraud. If you don't have a legal path to immigration, you probably shouldn't try to create one out of whole cloth.

Good morning,

I'm the US petitioner for my fiance k1 visa. I'm excited to visit Nigeria again. This time for a longer visit, two weeks vacation from job... yay.

My fiance is scheduled for interview on 7/16.
1) Are scheduled appointments on track or some applicants are being scheduled? I'm really concerned about his only (lol). Here's his id number, lgs2015612019, just in case you are allowed to provide this information on this forum.
2) Is there an designated area outside the embassy for the petitioner or others to wait for while the applicant is interviewed?

Thank you In advance for your assistance.

Regardless of outcome (definitely praying for the best) you have been very helpful!! I'm little jealous that my fiance might have the opportunity to meet you in person than I (lol).

Best Regards

Clarifying of question: are appointments being rescheduled due to workload, computer glitches, etc.

The last time I wrote that I didn't foresee ever having to reschedule anyone again, our computers promptly crashed all around the world, so I'm never saying anything like that again.... but right now, scheduled appointments are indeed on track! I see your fiance scheduled for July 16 -- knock on wood, I don't see any reason why that would change.

Unfortunately we don't have a designated waiting area for petitioners -- only for our applicants.

Best of luck!!!

I'm not sure exactly what you're asking (I may need more coffee).

See? This is why I like VO and LagosNIV. Humour

Can we persuade AbujaNIV to loosen up some? Maybe some goatmeat peppersoup or isi ewu might do the trick. Haha

Greetings! I believe all August appointments have already been scheduled (but I could be wrong). There's a better possibility for September or October, but it depends how many other cases are complete and waiting. Good luck!

Well, it's complicated. smiley NVC has asked us how many appointments we can handle in August, and we've sent them our preferred schedule. In fact, they've already asked us about September, but I'm expecting them to ask again a few times. They know we can't take any additional August cases. But, they may not have assigned all their cases to our August interview slots yet. So from my point of view, we're done scheduling August appointments (because I know how many applicants we're seeing every day in August), but from NVC's point of view, they might not be done yet.

I'm familiar with VisaJourney.com. Please keep in mind that most of the people posting there are not visa officers.... in other words, it's always best to verify the information you might pick up over there. It's a very useful forum, but it's always good to cross-check.

Sorry, I have no control over that - it's in NVC's hands at this point. We have no record of the case in our system. NVC is the entity that sets appointment dates for this type of visa.

Hello Visa Officer,
First I want to thank you for your selfless service. Information is power and the service you give here definately helps applicants and prospective applicants avoid mistakes and also gives clarification on areas of the various US visa categories that are hazy.

I will bwe honored if you oblige me by giving me information on the K2 visa ( Children of K1 visa recipient). Someone I know got approved for a K1 visa( along with her 2 children) in May , 2015.They were told that the visas would be issued in 10 business days.in the second week of June( not very sure exact date, noification was sent to her that her visa was ready. However, when she got to the document collection centre in lagos, only her passport was ready( with visa) Her Kids passport didnt come back. She wrote your office immediately and was told that there is a "Non Print" status for visas in her kids category( K2). That the visas will be issued when this status is removed. This then followed the period of the hardware crash that caused a back log in US visa offices Arround the world. After news that this backlog was cleared, her Finacee in the US wrote the US embassy in Lagos asking for situation of the K2 visas for her two kids. He was told that they are still experiencing difficulties. From my understanding, this was almost two weeks ago.Till date her kids K2 visas has still not been issued. The couple are really worried as she really needs to be with her fiancee but she has no reliable person to leave her kids while they wait for their visas to be issued. It is particuarly stressfull for her and her fiancee because thereis no indication on when the k2 visas will be issued. Please is there any information on what is happening with K2 visa and when this will be resolved? also, is there any way you can assist to hasten the issuing of her kids visa so they can go join her finacee( their new dad) and be present in their mother's wedding. Also, it will be really helpful for them to be settled and prepared for school before the summer is over. Her and her fiancee are very worried and I saw this great place and thought perhaos you could help someone. It would be nice for me to be able to give them some usefull information. This will be part of my gift for their wedding.

Will be honored to hear from you.
Thanks once again for a great job

Thank you so much. We'd see how it pans out.

Once again, VO, I want to tell you that your graciousness is so much appreciated. You are very helpful to people on here, it's amazing.
If you believe in God, he has a special place for you.

You almost lose faith in humanity until people like you happen.
I have come to know first hand how unimaginably difficult it is to be separated from your beloved and then have to go through so much....it drains you of life.

You would find favor wherever you go.
That is my prayer for you.

Thank you.

Hello VO.

I hope you are well.
Unfortunately, the Accra consulate denied the expedite request. I was really hoping they'd have a similar approach to military cases like your consulate does....

Fortunately however, we were able to fill out the ds 260 last weekend!
I've had suggestions that perhaps the expedite request was denied because the consulate couldn't really have pushed things along with us being stuck and unable to submit a DS 260 because of the computer issues there was.

I would appreciate your opinion on this theory and whether another attempt is wise.

Thank you.

Yours was one of the cases affected by the worldwide technical glitches. The officer's working on it, trying to get the computer to let it go through.[/quote.

Thank you for your response kind one. I hope and pray the issue is resolved as soon as possible. You are just one of those rare blessing from above, and you keep touching life's in your own little way. Bless your heart.

Without knowing the case number, I have no way of knowing what's up with the K2 visas. Has she e-mailed LagosIV@state.gov recently to ask what's going on?

I really don't know what Accra's expedite policies are or whether the computer outage affected them. That said, it can't hurt to ask again -- the worst that can happen is that they'll say no.

By the way, it seems like people are able to access and complete the online DS-260s now? Are people still having problems with those?
