Sir, I agree that Igbos living in the SE are smart. But a big reason why some Igbo guys based abroad come to the SE to pick a wife is because most of those ladies aren't "too wise". The men know that they can remote control those women easily, compared to the "wise" ladies living abroad or in Lagos.

Bros you don't understand what your saying.
One thing you have understand is that everybody has his insecurity, most Igbos born and raised in East rarely marry anywhere if not from East.

Its not because those girls in East are naïve but the relationship mmight have been established before the dude traveled.
Besides girls in East know what it means to be in marriage, forget all these Shoprite marriage they are organising in Lagos without emotional commitment.
When you come to Lagos, half of the girls wear fake eyelashes like Pokohontas, half shed tats like Rick Ross, half are using bleaching cream and are brighter than their future, others are night crawlers and eat in Bukkas, some even smoke cigarette.....Oga Igbos boys that go to East every December know why they were going, they have seen it all.

Westernization is not civilization.

It's possible that Emirates, KLM et al could launch flights to Enugu; but an Arik Enugu-London route is doubtful.
Arik recently stopped their Abj-London due to low passenger numbers, so I don't see how the Enugu route will be a success, financially.

However, an Enugu - Atlanta/Houston/LA route could be a gold mine.
bro, can you be in touch via email? You still got my address right?

Serious Igbos in East can't handle them, there will always be conflict of interest, even Igbos born and raised in East but relocated to Lagos due to job hardly find those lagos products palatable.

I have stayed in Lagos for a very long time and I do go to Lagos anytime am staying longer in East.

Lagos girls are just living life in the fast lane, they are not conscious of their immediate environment, resources management is a taboo to them.
While in school I encuntered many Lagos born kids both male and female in UNIZIK in our department but we don't seems to get along because we all had different orientations.
When their male see female on the street they will always like to hug, once they see women and your going somewhere with them they will be conversing with the female while your clock ticks away.

Whenever we want to be productive we always sideline them, this is not a stereotype ooo, am talking out of experience.

So Igbo guys that jump all these girls in Lagos and come back to East to marry knows his reason. Even girls in East marry faster than those in Lagos.

I can recommend a wife for you in East but I won't even suggest a girlfriend for you from Lagos even those in my church, anya adiro those girls mma grin grin grin grin grin

I heard that all markets in Enugu metropolis will be shut down tomorrow in protest against an alleged plan by the FG to relocate some Boko haram prisoners to Enugu prison.

Is there any truth in this rumour?

Bros thanks so much, unification of Igboland is a task that must be accomplished.

I pains me whenever I go through our cities, to be sincere East is the easiest place to be governed in Nigeria because the ccitizens require nothing much from the government.

Just provide security, good roads and few other things to garnish them. In my family house in Onitsha there is borehole in the villa there is borehole but our streets are not tarred.
If you visit this place and see how houses are arranged and house streets are interconnected you will marvel but because of no coaltar the place look somehow.

Let governs in East try as much as possible to attract penetration of broadband internet connectivity and see how East can best everybody in Nigeria.
Imagine Atiku having his feedmill and university in his state but some Igbos will ask you whether there is seaport or airport for such investment in East.

Its pains me to accept the truth that Igbos are the most dispersed and scattered people in Nigeria, forget the population density theory. Many Igbos love to be addressed as Kano, Lagos or Port Harcourt based businessman than Onitsha, Nnewi or Aba based why
When I was going back to East in December I saw some Igbos travelling back to Xmas with bags of rice, they charged for those bags of rice but they were okay with it because it will massage their ego that the rice wasn't bought at Nkwo Ihiala but at Oshodi, I was laughing.

The best way to develop Igboland is for we Igbos to show we have faith in our land, the way we are running away from there who do you think will hold the governors responsible, who will be the check on police and other government agencies working in East.
Igbos that owns NGOs will go to Ogun and Oyo states to execute projects but nobody remembers the less privileged in Igboland because they want Lagos media to cover their activities.

After every discharge from NYSC every succesful Igbo ex corp member will be telling you "nwanne okwa lag ooo" "nwanne na to enter lag ooo" some will be asking you "nwa kedu mgbe ina abanye lag" ?

The one that pains me most when Igbos always shout we own 90% Abuja, we own 80% Lagos, we 60% Kano, we own 50% Kaduna ......how many % did these people own in your own Land for crying out ?

Looks like they've finally added a taxiway; which would mean that more than one plane can land within 20 secs.
Also, credit to Buhari's team for not abandoning the terminal project.
They have not added an inch taxiway to where they abandoned the taxiway since 2013 August 23rd commissioning for international flights. The taxiway has not even linked the new(intl.) and old terminal buildings talk more of reaching one end of the runway. All other international airport including Kaduna airport has taxiway to both ends of the runway which is typically 3.25km long. With Lagos being 4km long while Kano and Abuja are 3.5 km long. Only Enugu runway is 3km long. The length of runway at 3km, isn't really bad as it can still take many large plane
I have monitored the development of Akanu Ibiam Intl. from multiple sources on the ground and online.

As for Buhari's commitment to completing the project, only time will tell. I can only say that I was glad with spyder's recent pictures showing work was still ongoing on the new terminal building.

What is of the biggest concern is that we seem to have relaxed for only Ethiopian to service the airport. Lufthansa flies 3 times/week from Malabo Intl. airport to Frankfurt, Enugu state govt. can lobby Lufthansa to make the route Malabo-Enugu-Frankfurt, which I'm sure they'd be glad to add Enugu to that route to make it more lucrative for the airline. Which will also give the needed vital link from Enugu to Europe and USA.
Also, Air France can fly Libreville-Enugu-Paris or Brussels airline can fly Douala-Enugu-Brussels 2 or 3 times a week. Many Intl. airlines already fly Kano-Ndjamena-Istanbul and other similar combinations of Kano with other small Intl airports in north Africa into Europe. We must work hard to collaborate Enugu International airport with some smaller African countries International airports around us that have airlines going to Europe and USA but have low passengers volume. That will be a win-win situation for all parties. It must not be a direct flight between Enugu-Frankfurt or somewhere in Europe as many tend to think it should.

What a brilliant analysis! I was thinking having signed petition can also encourage these airlines- Malabo Enugu Frankfurt with Lufthansa sounds amazing! I don't think the taxi way will be a big problem as not as many flights as Lagos etc have will be anticipated at Enugu for now.

the issue is that since there is a lot more money in circulation because of these people investing there the onus is on average or poor people living there to set up or engage in biz with a view to be grabbing some of those circulating money..
There is a reason for the migration to Lagos,ph and abuja

Abuja, Lagos and PH all have much federal presence than the entire East hence the rush.

But I still maintain that Enugu State government is still responsible for everything.

Imagine Super Eagle will play matches in Uyo and Kaduna despite the security challenges but Enugu State government never for a day host super eagle, golden, flying eagle or dream team matches yet they have a standard stadium and international airport.

To me Enugu is not developing with the pace it suppose to be developing with because the government have not been able to sale the state to the outside world.

Imagine Bayelsa highjacked AMAA festival tay tay but Enugu is yet to host international film festival except the launch of Igbo Channel in DSTV.

Look at the way Akpabio turn Akwa ibom to a tourist destination developing everything from the scratch, they have golf course and host international events so that traffic will be drawn to the state.

Enugu started ICC yet its uncompleted, they are not advertising about the location of Intl Airport in the city.

South Africa high commission just opened a visa center in PHC, what is Enugu waiting for to attract those of China, India, Korea, etc so that businessmen and women who normally go to these countries for business in East will be moving to Enugu to have all their documents processed and take off from there.

Do we even have a yearly festival like Calabar Carnival, Lagos Carnival, Abuja Carnival, Argungu Fishing Festival...when are we seeing a Coal City Carnival of international magnitude airliners will be willing to bankroll or support.

Why is there no golf tourney in Enugu meant for Easterners called Enugu Open or Masters or Classic ?

Why is it difficult to connect the rush hills of Enugu with Cable cars and open small holiday resorts in the foot of the hills and sale palmy, okpa or abacha to visitors at high rates ?

Whether Enugu is growing or not, the pace Enugu is growing is slow considering the rate Igbos are leaving North to East

If Enugu State government had invested in marketing, promoting and projecting the state to the outside world by organizing some events that will be bringing people to the city on weekly, monthly or yearly basis, believe me Enugu will be the one of fastest growing Economies in Sub Sahara Africa.

How much will these four things cost?

1. An International Confrence Center.

2. A golf course (world class with activities).

3. Connecting rush hills with cable cars.

4. Create website for Enugu tourism, print brochure, advertise in magazines and newspapers,

All those properties should be returned to the state government as they were stolen from the state and not the federal government.

Enugu state AG should file a suit asap.
